AK's decision to get his transfer business done early, is working a treat. Bringing the squad back early for pre-season training, should give us a fitness edge. Spanish training camp and including youth team players, will hopefully unite the squad. No stone is being left un-turned in the pursuit of 'success'. So why am I so nervous? Maybe because I haven't seen them play yet? Maybe a few good, early league wins will settle my nerves? What ever it is, this World Cup distraction isn't helping. Born in 67, so I've always been let down by England. But now I could see Forest in the PL and England win the World Cup. I think I might explode. 😁.

1.) 09 Jul 2018 11:53:26
A world cup win and promotion this, two things that I thought I would never see inky lifetime

2.) 09 Jul 2018 12:50:01
I'd be grateful for 4th place in the WC and a top 10 finish!!

3.) 09 Jul 2018 13:19:07
There's only room for a no1 or a no2 in the "WC"😂😂😂

4.) 09 Jul 2018 13:44:29
Sswe anything less than top 6 I am sure would be considered unacceptable to the owner given the level of investment

5.) 09 Jul 2018 13:51:47
Now who pooh poohed that one??😁😁

6.) 09 Jul 2018 20:30:55
With improving performances and results, fans expectations rise. Before all of the signings I'd have been quite happy with a top ten finish. I am now wanting more. Does that make greedy? Regarding England ,pre tournament I would have been happy to get through the group but now I want the world cup to come home!

7.) 09 Jul 2018 20:37:23
No just makes you like the owners.
Top ten won't do playoffs at least

8.) 09 Jul 2018 21:01:34
Don't think I've ever felt this optimistic about my country and my beloved reds :)

9.) 09 Jul 2018 21:09:23
On a serious note it is looking good Daz on both counts ,really looking forward to Wednesday and Sunday and then holiday and then the new season.

10.) 09 Jul 2018 21:14:36
I don't really care about England winning the World Cup as long as Forest get promoted. Or at least have a good go at it.

11.) 09 Jul 2018 21:41:01
Phsyco,season don't start for a month,lets win one thing at a time.
World cup is massive,I was nine last time we won it and want to see it again,it gives the whole country a boost and won't affect what we do next season, which with the signings looks good.
One thing at a time my friend starting with the world cup.
Come on.

12.) 09 Jul 2018 22:27:43
Agreed ff799 forest now seem to have all there ducks in a row isn't it nice to sit back and watch other teams struggle with ffp like the sheep and villa who are finding it tough going even stoke are saying we will be promoted strait back boro thought that and we know what happened there

13.) 09 Jul 2018 22:49:27
It is 52 first let's win this world cup.👍👍

14.) 10 Jul 2018 09:09:39
If I had a choice I would prefer us promoted over and England world cup win. because i'm irish haha. best of luck tomorrow night lads.

15.) 10 Jul 2018 09:29:53
Mucser it's really good to see so many NFFC fans from the Island of Ireland on this forum. Some our most talented players in the past have come from the emerald isle. Long may it continue! YOU REDS!!

16.) 10 Jul 2018 18:23:29
Hope you guys win too!!! However if Forest get to the promised land,I'll lose the plot!! In fact ill be sitting in my front garden with a pair of pants on my head, complete with two pipe cleaners up my nose, shouting "Wibble!!"🎖️🎖️🎖️

17.) 11 Jul 2018 10:39:57
As long as you don't get the colly wobbles or you'll end up in your local pound 😂

18.) 11 Jul 2018 10:55:36
Slightly off topic but has anyone heard where the team will play their Spanish friendlies? Cheers

19.) 11 Jul 2018 11:24:32
Heard they're training in Marbella is all I know , Fuenguerola meself on sat maybe I'll nip over get a look if they're still around 😁

Apparently Dowell is refusing to sign a new Everton contract. One year left, so only compensation to pay. Any Reds fancy a punt or maybe not an AK player? Early season Dowell, yes please but properly went off the boil at the end. Thoughts?

Scouseduckred

1.) 19 May 2018 07:01:51
A talented player there is no doubt just needs a good manager to develop such as AK, and a sound investment. If he opted to stay that world say a lot for AK as he hardly played him

2.) 19 May 2018 07:37:33
Not for me, he needs to improve a lot on his physicality and mental side of the game. He has moments of class but we need consistent performers with some grit.

3.) 19 May 2018 10:37:01
Not tough enough for the Championship, doesn't run back and tackle, gives the ball away too much. Keep well away I'd say.

4.) 19 May 2018 11:15:21
Not surprised he has not signed. He needs to decide whether he wants to be playing relegation football with Neverton or promotion football as our playmaker next season?

5.) 19 May 2018 14:54:19
Reminds me too much of McGugan.

6.) 20 May 2018 01:00:03
He still has time to improve

7.) 20 May 2018 12:08:48
We have plenty of our own youngsters on whom we need to help improve and reap the benefits. I say he should seek improvement elsewhere.

8.) 20 May 2018 18:51:49
Sign Dowell up cracking youngster, will get better with more experience. The last year will have been a great learning curve.

9.) 21 May 2018 00:08:23
Keep reading about our cracking youngsters after watching Ryan sessegnon at 18 years old shows how bang average our current youth really are.

10.) 21 May 2018 12:13:13
Saying our academy products are not good, because they are not as good as Ryan Sessegnon is like saying Harry Kane isn't good because he's not as good as Messi.

You can be good, without being the best.

11.) 21 May 2018 19:19:59
At last some sanity on our youngsters.
Never good enough in some eyes?
Tell you what I've seen more rubbish signed over the last ten years???
Think on??

28 Mar 2018 17:19:01
Nicholas Randall QC and Chairman, in an open letter to fans, has staked his own reputation by openly backing Marinakis. For me, that is good enough. Onwards and upwards fellow reds. Barnsley and Brentford as planned for me. 👍😊.

Scouseduckred

1.) 29 Mar 2018 19:22:44
I thought "QC" meant "Quick Collapse". after drinking their Sherry!!!🍷🍷🍷😂😂😂

03 Mar 2018 23:34:14
Cotterill sacked as predicted, I thought the players had a good go for him. Unfortunately Brum have the look of Forest up until recently. Wrong owner, poor lop sided squad, a bit of a rudderless ship, heading to the rocks of league 1. Still 3 valuable points for Forest. 👏.

Scouseduckred

1.) 05 Mar 2018 16:23:59
Thought Brum were pretty decent to be fair.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 21:16:34
There's a scenario that looks more and more likely whereby - following Huddersfieldgate last season and "resting" players - those involved get their just desserts. Blackburn should be coming up, Brum could well be going down and, with Palace 2-0 up at home, Huddersfield could be relegated too. If this turns out to be the case PLEASE show Blackburn v Huddersfield next season on Sky Sports, BBC 1 and Netflix! Tasty?

3.) 06 Mar 2018 10:48:55
Palace messed up, but could still happen & i for one would like to see this. Karma!

06 Feb 2018 16:27:39
Observations fellow reds.
1. AK is not a manager to cross, which I like but it does leave him exposed to more criticism if he fails. He's set his stall out, got in players he trusts, so now results are dependant on his tactics, formations and selections. I sincerely hope he has a magic wand and the wins aren't long coming. As in Sat v Hull, ideally.

2. With a large influx of players, as fans we have to trust his judgement even more. I expect few people will guess his team for Sat, it will probably take 3-4 games to settle down. I would then expect AK to play basically the same side until the end of the season, barring injuries and suspensions.

3. Due to our frustrating inconsistencies, I think we'll have a few nervy moments between now and the end of the season but expect AK to deliver a mid table finish. Fingers crossed.

4. I am pleased to see our new owners doing what's best for Forest. No late payments, court orders and just professionally going about their business. We just need this positivity to be transferred to the football pitch. Over all, it feels like our club is in safe hands, at last. Long may it continue. FTID.

Lost 1-0 to Real Betis.

Scouseduckred

1.) 14 Jul 2018 21:32:03
Better sign some more players then Scouse??😁😁😁

2.) 14 Jul 2018 21:53:03
I'll dig out my boots.👍

3.) 14 Jul 2018 22:00:38
Betis finished sixth in Spains top league yet we only lost 1-0, not too bad for a side, most of which have only been together a matter of weeks and some only days.

4.) 14 Jul 2018 22:22:54
Agreed, Post reported it as a proper friendly, few bookings, very hot and a fair crowd. Hopefully good fitness work for the squad.👏

5.) 15 Jul 2018 09:00:24
Results don't matter one bit in friendlies. All about getting fitness ready for the proper games.

6.) 15 Jul 2018 09:43:44
Have a look at the squad AK used, virtually every player got some time, but Figuereido missing - is he injured?

7.) 15 Jul 2018 10:04:08
Looked good defensively, looked bad offensively.

8.) 15 Jul 2018 10:17:39
He's recovering from a minor surgery

9.) 15 Jul 2018 10:57:54
Can't even beat real betis can't score a bloody goal with that strike force hope it gets better or karanka will be gone 😁

10.) 15 Jul 2018 13:05:20
Well be ok skeggs once brereton is in the side he'll soon be banging them in with all those flair midfielders.😁

12 Jul 2018 13:04:05
Shirt ordered, owners are spending so should we👍. Love to have a season ticket but child care dictates. Fingers crossed that my shifts work out for mid week fixtures. FTID. 👏👏👏.

Does anyone know when the new kit goes on sale? It's growing on me. 😁 Probably down to the impressive start to the transfer window. 👍👀.

Scouseduckred

1.) 24 Jun 2018 19:16:14
You tell us when it's finished growing on you?🤣🤣🤣

2.) 24 Jun 2018 19:42:42
51, so I'm the one doing the growing FF79. These modern materials are very flattering though or is it my magic mirror?😉

3.) 24 Jun 2018 23:46:03
You'l have to go and see JJ at Jacamo for the XXXL shirt range!

24 Jun 2018 18:38:52
To think we were rumoured to have asked Spurs for Kane on loan. Poch played him in cup games, then took a chance on him in the 1st team and the rest is impressive history making. Long may it continue. 👏👏👏.

Scouseduckred

1.) 24 Jun 2018 20:47:48
N0t another talking mirror ????😘😘😘

2.) 24 Jun 2018 21:06:59
It's the magical transfer/new kit mirror taunting the forest fans.

3.) 24 Jun 2018 23:47:31
It would be great if we could get him on loan for next season ashe isnot exactly pulling up trees in the World Cup?

4.) 25 Jun 2018 13:19:36
Scouseduckred. The club have always had an eye for talent over the years and well before any of these names caught the eye forest had identified them and attempted to take them on loan:
Victor Moses
John Terry
Gareth Bale

I'm sure there are more

In Crete watching the World Cup and my Forest shirts are proving interesting to the local football fans. Maranakis is 'big time Mafia' is the common theme. When I point out he is a 'free man' they just shrug their shoulders. You'll be playing in League 2 they say. I can see the jealousy. 😁.

Early promise, quickly fizzled out. Shame as his performances, at times, had you on the edge of seat. Unfortunately, not enough times. At least we should make a profit?

NickG, we didn't see enough of him against Portugal but if Cavani is injured then France will be a proper test for him. If AK wants a strong, mobile forward to hold the ball up and bring our midfielders into the game, he could fit. Murphy can hold it up but not mobile enough, Brereton mobile enough but not good at keeping the ball. A big piece of the puzzle is still missing.

Pre-orders available for collection 25th, postal orders 2 days later. As pre-orders were over subscribed, maybe a shortage of kits for a while, especially medium and large. Hope that helps?

Agreed, Walker waited for the ball, he should've attacked it. Stones guilty of ball watching for the 2nd. Although considering Manducic only had one leg, his reactions were class
