Cotterill sacked as predicted, I thought the players had a good go for him. Unfortunately Brum have the look of Forest up until recently. Wrong owner, poor lop sided squad, a bit of a rudderless ship, heading to the rocks of league 1. Still 3 valuable points for Forest. πŸ‘.

1.) 05 Mar 2018 16:23:59
Thought Brum were pretty decent to be fair.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 21:16:34
There's a scenario that looks more and more likely whereby - following Huddersfieldgate last season and "resting" players - those involved get their just desserts. Blackburn should be coming up, Brum could well be going down and, with Palace 2-0 up at home, Huddersfield could be relegated too. If this turns out to be the case PLEASE show Blackburn v Huddersfield next season on Sky Sports, BBC 1 and Netflix! Tasty?

3.) 06 Mar 2018 10:48:55
Palace messed up, but could still happen & i for one would like to see this. Karma!

Observations fellow reds.
1. AK is not a manager to cross, which I like but it does leave him exposed to more criticism if he fails. He's set his stall out, got in players he trusts, so now results are dependant on his tactics, formations and selections. I sincerely hope he has a magic wand and the wins aren't long coming. As in Sat v Hull, ideally.

2. With a large influx of players, as fans we have to trust his judgement even more. I expect few people will guess his team for Sat, it will probably take 3-4 games to settle down. I would then expect AK to play basically the same side until the end of the season, barring injuries and suspensions.

3. Due to our frustrating inconsistencies, I think we'll have a few nervy moments between now and the end of the season but expect AK to deliver a mid table finish. Fingers crossed.

4. I am pleased to see our new owners doing what's best for Forest. No late payments, court orders and just professionally going about their business. We just need this positivity to be transferred to the football pitch. Over all, it feels like our club is in safe hands, at last. Long may it continue. FTID.

I mentioned a few weeks back, that getting to 50 points was going to be tough. Barring stellar signings, that thought hasn't changed. We are in a fortunate position where 4 or 5 teams are worse than us but with 6 pointers to play, that could change. I'm not going to sugar coat the situation but AK needs to find some steel for our defense and get some points on the board.

MW's style of play was not suited to our players or our current league position, we need AK to address this. Another concern is the lack of goals in the league, what's the story with Murphy? His purchase and contract aren't looking great decisions at present. With Cummings seemingly going, McKay peripheral, Darikwa not good enough and Dowell dipping in form, our summer business isn't shaping up. I hope AK can dig up some warriors, up for the fight and the owners back him. If not, we're still not out of danger. FTID.

1.) 14 Jan 2018 19:57:34
If Brereton's going (and I hope not) I hope he goes through the door and not "the window". as he'd be no use to anyone!!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

2.) 14 Jan 2018 20:03:28
Murphy has a back problem.

3.) 14 Jan 2018 19:54:02
Very true scouse.
Those you mentioned are Warburtons signings.
AK needs to offload a few players and get replacements permitting funds.
He has a huge task ahead but he needs time.

4.) 14 Jan 2018 20:21:16
Yep he wants to be back in Ireland with his family, especially now Ireland are out of the world cup?
Came here to play regular got back in their side and now the dream is over, just a theory?

10 Jan 2018 13:01:41
Back to the serious business of the league. Does anyone think AK will make many changes v Villa? Worrall suspended, so Mills or Fox as a straight swap? Does he give credit to the team who played so well or stamp his authority on the squad from day 1? Interesting dilemma. Regarding transfers, I don't expect any movement for at least a week. Big boys will start spending soon, then we'll get the trickle down effect. Result for Sat? Honestly take a draw now but hope to win 2-1, didn't Villa beat Bristol City 5-0 recently, tough league. 😐.

1.) 10 Jan 2018 13:43:04
Tough one to call, everyone who played on Sunday deserves to start but i suppose AK will want to stamp his mark on the team but i think we will beat villa with confidence high and the new manager syndrome

2.) 10 Jan 2018 14:44:23
He'll probably listen to what Brazil has to tell him about the squad, then see how training goes.
Barring injuries can't see much change in team selection.

3.) 10 Jan 2018 18:26:55
In my opinion all A K will do is reorganise the team to play his way.

Any team that did as well as the lads did in the Cup deserve to start.

4.) 11 Jan 2018 17:46:57
AK generally played a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-1-1 which is pretty much what we have been playing so doubt much will change.
I am hoping Fox is fit to replace Worral as I personally Mills is not good enough for Championship any more and is too slow and I think he is trying the Andy Reid diet of late.
I guess the only other change could be Bridcutt could come back in depending on how Vaughan is feeling or if anyone has a niggle or will AK try Carayol who he knows from his time at Boro, it would be very harsh if anyone who played Sunday is left out unless they have a knock or suspension.

04 Jan 2018 12:08:56
It's very quiet from the club, calm before the storm? Maybe our new manager hasn't the pedigree we'd hoped for? Time will tell, let's see what players he brings in, what sort of results and performances he inspires. Then after 10 or so games, question the boards decision? Or hopefully see some progress and start dreaming for next season. FTID.

1.) 04 Jan 2018 14:36:21
yes and as per normal we call for his head the first losing run we go on!!!

2.) 04 Jan 2018 16:58:39
Guys, myself and a workmate,(who's also a Forest supporter) are hoping to get to the Forest V Brum match (march 3rd) any info regarding hotels, pubs etc, would be greatly appreciated!!

3.) 04 Jan 2018 17:05:56
You could try the jury's in rogie.
They are usually good value and not too far to the ground or city centre.
Pubs everywhere mate.

4.) 04 Jan 2018 18:22:54
Happy Days mate. cheers!!

5.) 04 Jan 2018 19:26:28
The Brittania is reasonable, close to the city centre(on Maid Marion Way) and is the rarest of hotel's as it has some smoking rooms (if you are that way inclined)

6.) 04 Jan 2018 20:19:20
Let us know when your here I'll buy a pint.🍻🍻🍻

Absolutely loving the fall out from the cancelled Derby v Cardiff game. Now Derbyshire police are distancing themselves from the decision, saying it was down to Derby County. The nail in the coffin for me? The game is off but the shops are open! Health and safety risk? You couldn't make it up. 😁.

1.) 19 Mar 2018 20:17:20
Spot on Scouse the more that comes out the more it shows that the cancellation was down to their injuries and suspensions not the snow
However they forgot to tell the club shop to close what a joke the EFL have got to do something this if not punished Eli leave cancelling games in the future open to more abuse, what yellow bellied cheats
Makes Derby look a club to be proud of !!

2.) 19 Mar 2018 20:39:54
Are Derby going to have the cheek to give another interview why the police had no say in the matter, even Warnock said there was little snow ❄ in the surrounding areas on Cardiffs journey to Derby.

3.) 19 Mar 2018 22:17:56
So the efl are waiting for both clubs responses as to what happened!and Derbyshire police are saying derby called the game off! What will the efl do?absolutly nothing!

4.) 20 Mar 2018 06:52:11
You would think after all the money they have spent over the last 3 years they would have 2 full strength squads to choose from.mel Morris will be all over the internet looking for as many snow machines as possible to place around the ground and surrounding areas for the next home match.

5.) 20 Mar 2018 08:43:27
The sheep should be charged by the efl for failing to fulfill a fixture hefty fine and deduct points warnock right to be angry 😠

6.) 20 Mar 2018 09:09:11
The EFL must surely smell a rat you can bet your bottom dollar that if the sheep were in form no injuries and Huddlestone not being suspended the game would have gone on the weather gave them a get out

7.) 20 Mar 2018 09:14:23
Aps you are right but the EFL will do nothing
Surely they must smell a rat if the sheep were in form no injuries and Huddlestone not suspended the game would have been played the weather gave them a get out of jail card and they used it !

08 Mar 2018 20:28:39
Fellow reds, we have a mixed bag of fans on here, some doomers, some eternal optimists. After the season we have had so far, we don't ever do things the easy way, what are your expectations for Sunday? It hurts me, as a Forest fan, to be talking about de-railing Derby's top 6 ambitions. I want to be talking about Forest challenging but our season is one of consolidation. Slowly we're getting the basics right, on and off the pitch and as fans we can start feeling pride in our club again. Derby isn't the be all and end all for Forest, I want to win whoever we play. So when I say, I'd take a draw now, I hope you know where I'm coming from? Because of our mutual disrespect, it's more of a game we don't want to lose, rather than risk it going for a morale boosting win. I expect AK to put out out a hard working, disciplined side to not lose, first and foremost. I don't think it'll be a classic but will take a hard fought 1-0, Matty Cash to continue his goal scoring run. FTID.

1.) 08 Mar 2018 21:36:45
Scouse it looks like we’re out of danger zone for the season we all say we would take the draw in every game we did that with df but really we all want the win every game and nobody as to take things seriously on here it’s a banter site and without the doomers and the moaners and the winde up fans there would be no site but we all have one or two things in common we’re all reds we all want to win and we all want the best for the club and Velios is still crap simples πŸ˜œπŸ‘Œ

2.) 09 Mar 2018 09:01:49
Scouse: Sunday could be win lose or draw, but we now know we have a manager who has seen the problem and started to deal with it. We have a better looking defence though Benny at the back still bothers me, it's where all the attacks will come from. Our midfield is solid and reliable and our lads up front variable so I'd be pleased with a draw and overjoyed with a win. We need to stop shipping yellow cards and play some crafty pacy football which we can do. If Tomlin is fit we should have a good game and we have nothing to fear against the sheep. Both our Manager and Captain have written to the fans - unusual at Forest, but it shows the commitment they have to the club, so spirits are high and confidence growing.

3.) 09 Mar 2018 09:39:05
Bsered, it's the daring to dream that worries me. All the stars could align, Derby injuries and poor form, our upturn in fortunes, home advantage lead me to believe we will win. But recent history suggests we'll get a key injury, man sent off early doors or score an own goal. It's why I'd take a draw now, than suffer an ugly defeat. Fig an Fox should cope with Nugent and I hope Vydra is not fully fit. FTID

4.) 09 Mar 2018 12:34:40
Benny Osbourne to score, he hates Derby!!! Has been looking good last few games. 3-2 thriller I reckon. Osbourne, Tomlin and Brereton to score!

01 Mar 2018 17:30:52
Hobbs training again? Why does the old cynic in me think he might need a contract in the summer? You are the weakest link, goodbye. πŸ˜€.

1.) 02 Mar 2018 07:02:49
I wonder if he’ll make it to the weekend.

2.) 02 Mar 2018 07:24:58
Unfortunately Hobbs, Vaughan and Cohen have been sick notes for a long time.

3.) 02 Mar 2018 10:53:12
Let's hope we don't fall into the same trap of giving him Vaughan and fox new contracts, time to say goodbye to them and move on.

4.) 02 Mar 2018 12:46:19
Yes forgot about Fox. Another sick note.

5.) 02 Mar 2018 16:08:02
We'd have been in an even bigger mess without Vaughan and Fox staying this season. Funny how memories are very short on this site?

6.) 02 Mar 2018 16:19:25

Are they the way forward though.?

7.) 02 Mar 2018 16:32:12
JH had a poor fitness record when we bought him and he has been a drain on the wage bill. Pity because he can be a real centre half. Wouldn't give him a new contract.

28 Feb 2018 19:46:50
To add to earlier musings, thank you AK and Forest for selling the plan to Watson. My kind of Captain, been there got the t-shirt, cajoling, demanding, driving force that we have been missing for so long. Not the final piece of the jigsaw but essential to have that type of player to progress. Importantly he will improve players too, off my radar because I didn't think he would come. Very glad he has. FTID.

1.) 28 Feb 2018 20:14:47
Many of us said several months ago that Manc was a good player, but not a Captain. He will be an even better player now he is not Captain, but it took a bit of luck i.e. his injury/illness to give AK the chance to change to Watson. But like several on here I still believe we have to get to 50 points before we can feel reasonably comfortable - and that will not be as easy as some think. AK has a better shape in the side and is not afraid to mix up tactics and plans - a couple more wins and the confidence will flood back. If everyone urges on the team V Brum we will be playing our part.

I love the adidas style but the club has secured greater funds with Macron. As long as they sell a first team shirt, without sponsorship, I'll buy one. If the deal enables us to afford Tomlin and Colbeck, then great work by the club.πŸ‘

Oh I agree but if we were hanging on to a play off place. .wouldn't you take the international break to re-group? I see Warnock is fuming, so Rowett knows he's pulled a fast one.

Does Huddlestone's ban then apply to the next game, instead of the re-arranged fixture? Do they also then have the benefit of extra recovery time for their injured players? Clever ploy, as I think Cardiff would've trounced them. Shame we'll have to wait for that trouncing but have to admit, I hope Forest would've done the same, if the roles were reversed.
