So carvalaho is an important part of my plans claims Lamouchi. That ship has sailed SL and if you want anything from him you play him down the middle not out wide. However, bored of saying this, carvalaho has not the pace, strength or power to stamp any authority on a game. He has failed to push for a starting position as obviously he can't do it in training either.

Disappointed to hear that SL is still going down this road. JC is history i would rather see Mighten given the wide birth and a decent no 10 brought in. Also getting tired of the high earners and 30+yr olds being linked with us. The financial implications of getting a goalscorer seem too risky, and could bite us as our history dictates. Would rather see a hungry prospect from the lower leagues at sensible money as to be fair staying top 6 this season should be acheivable with just a tweak to our attacking options and a midfield general!

Good post Rutland.
JC hasn't justified his ridiculous price tag.
This transfer window will show how seroius forest are about promotion.

2.) 15 Jan 2020 13:22:35
We already have a hungry prospect from the lower leagues. He is called Tyler Walker and would cost us nothing.

3.) 15 Jan 2020 13:49:22
Yes redcyclist. I agree but it seems he us contracted till for the season. Weird one that.

4.) 15 Jan 2020 15:43:04
If they won't release Tyler Walker then we tell them that's the last time we loan them a player. Don't bit the hand that feeds you.

5.) 15 Jan 2020 17:51:51
Walker as found his level guys. He’s not what we need right now.
Prem beckons. We need a proven championship forward 2 preferably. We need a plan b of 2 upfront when playing 1 isn’t working. If Gayles injury isn’t that bad I’d pay his wages which would be a approx 1m for rest of season.
How much would we pocket if we get to prem at least 120m. definitely worth gamble. I’d also bring murry in to give us extra option tactically. Then all we need is a winger Get it done.

6.) 15 Jan 2020 18:02:05
Redred. count gayle out he is on £65000 a week and we have to this plus he wouldn't play second fiddle to grabben.
The board knew we needed another forward months ago but instead of being proactive nothing but rumours and lousy journalism has paired us with every striker in the country it seems.
If we aren't careful and grabben gets injured the goals would dry up!

7.) 15 Jan 2020 18:44:42
RedRed, SL isn't going to play 2 upfront, its not his style. So who sits on the bench Gayle who is costing us a lot of money, or Grabban who is scoring goals and is happy?

Thats why Walker would be better. Knows where the goal is and would be our main second striker.

8.) 15 Jan 2020 19:40:24
Walker is a developing player. He hasn't "found his level" at all. He was never a bad player just a young one learning. He is a goalscorer. They are hard to find.

Walker will have a decent career and would be great as one of three front men - which is how many we need if we have one up front. If we get an injury then we will still need two front men.

Walker has done well in matches against Premier League opposition in the past. Remember Newcastle in the cup? Probably not but I do. He is quick, strong now and knows where the net is.

9.) 15 Jan 2020 19:53:34
When he played for Warburton there was one game Walker had the ball come to him from the other teams goal area and from about 20 yards volled it straight in, it was a sight to see. I however have a dreadful memory as of who the other team was.

10.) 15 Jan 2020 21:57:07
Think it was QPR remember the goal.
His goal last night from 20 yards was a beauty as well.
He knows where the net is and will score in the championship, which he already has.
Red red just go to a casino mate and stick your house on red, it can't fail.
Playing two up front is definitely the way forward, I mean everyone plays it? 😊😊
Lamouchi is the best signing we've made in years so let him tell the owners what he needs, more likely to to se 3 up front than two with two holding midfielders.

11.) 15 Jan 2020 22:07:35
Rutland the answer is to ditch Silva he's far worst than carvalho.
You won't get any goals and no assists at all.
His record for clubs in Portugal shows he won't and at 27 he's not going to improve.

12.) 15 Jan 2020 22:37:42
Sorry he's 26 and played his football in Portugal in league two which is like our league one or two, enough said.

I feel a bit sick right now as rumours emerge about MON future. Marakinakis was full of praise when he interviewed Martin saying his enthusiasm was overwhelming. Givem Martins experience and absolute honesty i would like to think that he would be given a chance to vindicate his alppointment. Look at the reality of the injuries he inherited and the huge squad of averageness. A couple of days of crap window to shore up the defence?

Its crucial that msrikinakis invest time in oneil and let's him shuffle this squad and bring in his players. I admit to being baffled by the team sheets and the seemingly lack of conviction from the plsyers on matchday. Is oneil just dussing out the characters he wants to keep? I thought when AK left thst Bruce was a goid fit but got many thumbs down.

I doubt even he coukd get a tune out of this bloated and fragmented squad. Its going to be painful between now and the season end but its essential to get this squad rinsed of the dross and a clean slate for Oneil. You can see it now out with the Brit and in comes Johnny foreigner and his ambitious calamatous vision for a quick fix. It will be another disaster. Just look at that squad? Can you really level ALL the blame at a hapless Oneil?

If Marikinakis pulls the trigger so prematurely it will show him as impatient and petulant, insincere and desperate. Many good things have happened under his stewardship but getting the right manager and assembling a tight talented squad has been a huge failing. He needs to grasp reality and support Oneil right now. MAYBE MON is not the right manager but should he be judged and sentenced on the mistakes of previous managers poor judgement? I think you all know the answer!

rutland red1

1.) 18 Apr 2019 08:10:31
If you’re a good manager, you take average players and make them good, and good players exceptional. You make the most with what you have and bring in to improve the squad by buying players to turn a weak area into a strength. Since AK left, our strength of being fairly hard to beat has faltered, our attacking prowess has left us, and we’ve played more formations than in the previous two seasons. It could be argued that inconsistency in a shape is causing players to make poor tactical decisions which is then causing us to be easier to break down. AK played a system, it might not have been pretty or always effective but it was consistent and thus hard to break down. I personally don’t think MON should go, but I think if he doesn’t stick to a system he won’t be here come the start of next season.

2.) 18 Apr 2019 11:07:30
Ever since Martin came in these players have become trash overnight. They’re that bad he’s been forced to play our best centre mid at leftback, drop our most creative player to the bench when we can’t score and leave our center back in the stands so we can play our best leftback there. Now this sounds confusing and that’s because it is. MON needs to go.

3.) 18 Apr 2019 12:44:47
I wouldn’t say that. The issue lies with the fact that MON is taking a while to settle in and get his team set up but he’s not doing it quick enough and people are becoming disillusioned. He just needs to stick to one thing until the end of the season and if that’s round pegs in square holes then so be it. As long as players know what they’re supposed to do rather than what they think they should do we’ll improve. I think there’s too much freedom for too many players which is why we’re conceding and don’t look a team.

4.) 18 Apr 2019 13:00:48
He just needs to play the best players in their right positions and forget the hoof ball tactics. Something he is too stubborn to do.

5.) 18 Apr 2019 13:30:51
Why do we never hear anything from roy keane wonder what his thoughts are??

6.) 18 Apr 2019 16:05:44
His thoughts are probably why have I come here to be on the end of all this social media hatred after only 14 games.

7.) 18 Apr 2019 18:45:25
Just what we need. A new manager. After all, it's always made a difference and got us promoted over the last 10 years or more.

8.) 18 Apr 2019 18:57:30
Syred- It’s not hatred he’s just not up to the job. Can you explain his recent bizarre team selections? And awful football.

Diamond Geezer - why stick with a manager that obviously isn’t working? If his name was McLeish youd want rid.

9.) 18 Apr 2019 19:13:33
Why would you feel a bit sick? It's Forest, same old, same old.😐

10.) 18 Apr 2019 21:26:57
Red tree if Osborn is our best centre midfielder then we are in trouble.
Even karanka and warby didn't play him there.

11.) 18 Apr 2019 23:00:00
Just to clarify 79’ In my opinion

Colback is our best CM
Robinson is our best LB
Milosevic should be playing CB
Carvahol should be playing CAM

I don’t rate Osborn, if we want to challenge at the right end Osborn isn’t in the team.

12.) 19 Apr 2019 19:29:42
Jamie ward is better than osborne, I would like to o Neil get his 18 months after all we'd go through 4 managers I that time ,and if he was to go whos coming in overseas managers are not going to do us any good they don't know the league if we was to change I'd bring in David Blaine as we need a fcking magician do do any thing here, I'd settle for some decent moving off the ball passing and getting a few shots on goal

13.) 19 Apr 2019 23:42:24
David Blaine would be an improvement on the miracle man at the moment.

14.) 19 Apr 2019 23:51:47
Well everybody is having a go at pick and mix with the squad.
The fact is the squad was assembled to play out from the back and be solid in midfield. and playing on the break That was working until our centre halves got injured.
You cannot expect the team to adapt mid season to playing a completely different way with a new manager so stop moaning and just accept that MON is giving everyone a go to see who he wants for next year.
Pre season has started early. We will dump at least 10 in June when contracts run out. The youngsters are not quite ready but we have a core of good pro's upon which to rebuild the squad.
I could not care less if we lose all the remaining matches as individual performances will determine who is up for next season?

15.) 20 Apr 2019 17:17:14
You might not care but people are paying money to watch this garbage. He hasn’t shown us anything progressive or deserving of a shot next season. So instead of telling people what to do consider what’s best for the fans and our poor necks. hoooof.

16.) 22 Apr 2019 08:28:11
Cant switch to a different style ?? I've seen teams make 3 subs at half time and from playing it out from the to long ball because the opposition have stepped the pitch, they have played football from a young age and are paid well to play they should be able to follow instructions and tactics so is that managers fault or players maybe both

17.) 22 Apr 2019 11:38:05
Managers fault

17 Jan 2019 22:04:33
For all the negative reaction to Johan beneloane joining us and i have looked at his stats. Some of the stuff on youtube show a comepetent mobile skilful tough tackling defender. Can do no worse than what we have available.

rutland red1

1.) 18 Jan 2019 05:07:20
YouTube is the worst players best friend.youtube can make anyone look a world beater.

2.) 18 Jan 2019 07:25:19
A lot better than what we have Rutland at least he's a defender doing a defending job .not a midfielder or a winger as used over the past 12 months .hey we might even have a manager doing a managers job now as well what do you think Sutton 😆😆

3.) 18 Jan 2019 07:46:09
I like it Skegs.

4.) 18 Jan 2019 08:05:23
I spoke with a leicester fan who watches every game including under 23's home and away and he says he is a very good cultured centreback. Gets stuck in and may take a few yellows. He reckons oneil is just the man to get the best from him.

5.) 18 Jan 2019 09:32:47
Can also be the best players worst friend, depends how you look at it Sutton. 🤔

6.) 18 Jan 2019 14:36:02
Johan Benaloane. sounds like he's no mates!???
😂😂😂

7.) 18 Jan 2019 15:25:14
MY Leicester mate says he is solid and a good player. He has just been unlucky with the form of Huth and Morgan and now Maguire.

8.) 18 Jan 2019 15:41:02
Is Lacovitti out on loan? If not, why not give him a game? And what about the young Swedish centre back? I hope young players get more opportunity under M O'N than they did with Karanka.

9.) 18 Jan 2019 15:57:25
Yes, what is the point of keeping Anel Ahmedhodzic if we don't even play him when no other defender is fit. It must sent the message that you will never get a chance if he doesn't get one now.

10.) 18 Jan 2019 16:00:24
And no, Lacovitti - Scottish International - is not out on loan as he was in the U23 side.

And Anel Ahmedhodzic is also an intenational.

11.) 18 Jan 2019 19:57:03
If we signed Messi someone on here would say he's past it, give the bloke a chance and i mean MON

12.) 18 Jan 2019 20:55:11
Read the comments about Iacovitti and Ahmedhodzic not being played. Seen a fair bit of these two with the U23s.
Not seen much from Iacovitti to get excited about. Ahmedhodzic is a real talent but last time I saw him, 9 months ago, still way too skinny for a Championship centre half. He's only 19 and 6 foot 5. Just give him some time to fill out. Fingers crossed, he could be a real gem

28 Dec 2018 12:02:42
Fox was seething as he came off and had to be restrained. Was it from the ref or AK? Their were some long injuries and lots of subs plus pants did his usual time wasting which is about as thick as he gets. So the ref, rightly made us pay.
Bringing on Dias would have angered the senior pros as we were dealing with wave after wave of pressure from Norwich.

Watson sat deep or Osborn harassing would have made sense but Dias? AK is on a suicide mission and will not admit his mistakes. Darikwa is so inconsistent its a shame, sorry but if AK perseveres with certain players we will never be a proper force. He has one style, if you can call it that, which is effective away but he has no plan B at home. How can teams like Norwich swarm over us at home yet we are feeble and directionless? Frustrated?!

rutland red1

1.) 28 Dec 2018 15:13:33
For me foxy and colback men of the match for me fox probally wanted to get at dias and give him a b******g after all he deserved it woeful.

2.) 28 Dec 2018 21:25:16
Pantilimon booked for time wasting in the 97th minute.
Would the ref have blown up if he hadnt p@@@ed about and just lumped it up?
Guess we will never know

3.) 28 Dec 2018 23:42:16
Pants is PANTS and any other manager will drop him,s---------tt

02 Feb 2018 16:45:05
Ben watson expected to sign after the Fulhsm gsme. Positve talks held at the academy. Will be great for us.

rutland red1

1.) 02 Feb 2018 16:53:30
Him and Coleback would be a couple of firebrands in midfield, along with Bridcutt I can see our work-rate going up.I don't know how Bouchalakis is going to fit in. There will be a lot of question-marks over our present players by the summer.

2.) 02 Feb 2018 17:34:50
I can't see where osborn and dowell are going to fit in

3.) 02 Feb 2018 18:30:22
Really Dowell is one of the best players we have

4.) 02 Feb 2018 21:03:36
Dowell is a luxury, which is fine when your playing well and winning.
His problem is he goes missing in games, sometimes for 70 mins then might pull a thunderbolt out of the blue.
Other than a big deflected goal against wolves,he has not played well for a while.
Needs to put a full shift in,but then you have to take into account he's been in a side that has a unbalanced midfield with four being left footed on everymatchday.
Should be more balanced now,but i'd leave him out tomorrow in favour of ged colback osborn cash and tomlin.
Stronger players against a very good side in great form.

5.) 02 Feb 2018 21:07:06
He is very talented i will give him that. he's a luxury player if the teams playing well he does well other than that he's very lazy

6.) 03 Feb 2018 08:12:45
Your right ff. we now have pit ponies as well as show ponies.

7.) 03 Feb 2018 11:42:41
New guys aside as I don't know about them, Dowell is the only one who can hit a decent free kick.

8.) 03 Feb 2018 13:24:04
As well as a dodgy corner 🙄

9.) 03 Feb 2018 21:22:20
Like i said should have left Dowell out, snowboater who plays for himself, not the team.

10.) 04 Feb 2018 11:58:13
Dowell needs to be dropped for a few games.

11.) 04 Feb 2018 14:57:29
Lol what's a snowboater it sounds good craic 😂

I know some on here will always treat a negative post as being fickle etc, but ask yourselves some questions. Have we been convincing this season? Have we been consistant? Have we entertained? Have we learned from our mistakes? Have we invested wisely? Do we carry a goal threat? Can we dominate teams with effective possesion footbal? The answer is a resounding no.
Learning is the killer from us. How many times do we work on getting crosses into the box? Its criminal. Cash does not even look up when in wide positions just tries to drill the ball in to absolutely no one. Grabban is not a big centre forward famed for his heading ability, yet we blindly go down this route and no midfielders backing up grabban driving into the box. The overlaps only happen in wide positions with no imagination around the box when we do get men forward, just give it to lolley and let him try and barge his way through.
We got caught on the break easily because it was easy for millwall to knick the ball from our ponderous dithering. And how they capitalised?
Whether on the deck or in the air they were clinical.
I mentioned last week that the way we play we need a big man, probably like matt smith. Or if we persist in our counter style we need pace through the channels who can reckover, we have neither.
Maybe Diakharby was broughtvin for that lol, just another mistake in that he ain't a footballer.

rutland red1

1.) 08 Mar 2020 10:05:59
All that said and we are six points in front of Millwall after thirty seven games.

2.) 08 Mar 2020 10:19:16
So thsts it cambs only points matter. Yup facts wre we are still well into the play off limit but how many times have we been humiliated at home? Perceviered with a one up top bore. Promotion does not define me as a supporter of forest. Promotion will bring greater problems with playing personelle. Personally i like a good footbaling team to watch first and foremost. VAR will put paid to goal celebrations, you hsve to wait for the men in white coats to deceipher the build up to find a reason disallow the goal. Its only money that drive certain people to the prem. This is a better league for competion than the prem so let's embrace it now and let the future take care of itself., we need to enjoy football and not endure this turgid style of lamouchi.

3.) 08 Mar 2020 10:51:35
It's like pulling teeth with some on here Rutland. Your facts are correct, a poor team with no prem quality players in it. If we got up we would get hammered week in week out and run Derby's record close.
I'd prefer to stay where we are and be entertained for my £500 a year plus expenses (lots of expenses) .
We just aren't no where near ready for the step up
Just a poor team trying to bulldoze there way to the £200 million prize pot.

4.) 08 Mar 2020 11:28:46
Thats it baloons. Marinakis is a businessman first. What we gain from promotion will be a pitance in comparrison to the investment needed to remain there. We are not a sheff utd with brilliant tactician manager who motivates with simplicity. They are strong cohesive and decisive with brilliant delivery. Watched them lastnight, no big stars but what a unit. Our wage bill is horrendous for where we are and it will have to treble to get the quality needed to remain there. And on recent dealings he ain't for investing in players.

5.) 08 Mar 2020 11:31:13
I would think we all would like fast slick passing football but the Premier league money is what we need to get the club back on track, if we can get there either this season or next, although we will probably come straight back down we would have parachute payments which would enable the club to build a better quality team, look how long Brentford have took try to get to the Premier league playing the ideal way. Changing of managers, and owners have slowed progress on the pitch so let's walk before we run and get to the Premier league by any means possible.

6.) 08 Mar 2020 12:12:11
These days I’m in the camp of not Caring how we win as long as we win . I agree the football bores me to tears it’s dreadful, if it brings success I can bear it . Not sure it will though.

7.) 08 Mar 2020 12:25:34
Fans wanting promotion, they are growing impatient waiting. They are not to bothered with the hard work building the club, getting the right players etc. Getting promotion is hard enough trying to stay there is somewhat harder, it will come but not yet, patience is the name of the game. All Rutlands and Skeggs comments have true merit so keep calm and hang in there.

8.) 08 Mar 2020 12:55:14
Should have got Gary monk hey rutland? Great manager 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

9.) 08 Mar 2020 17:24:13
Rutland how can the answers to your initial questions be no? Obviously we have at times especially in away games or we wouldn’t be top 6. We aren’t top 2 because we haven’t been consistent enough, obviously.

07 Mar 2020 08:28:46
Woke up still shocked that we could produce another abstract performance like that. No denying it was schoolboy football yet again infront of a good expectant home crowd. The time has gone i'm afraid to say oh we are slowly building etc.

That was ANOTHER worst performance. Shocking in every department. Defence exposed by an awful midfield and they just couldn't cope. No creativity up front and the loo of a team that had never played together before. I annit recall a game where i didn't realise grabban was atually on the pitch the passing was so disorientated.

We let go 2 tough midfielders with jacob not even kicking a ball. Bostock who looks like a player not featuring until lastnight. Ok we are without 2 players but they have been in the side when hammered at home this season. Sow is ok, a battler with no finesse but a crock. We saw him for a few games ten he was out inured. Comes back and is out again. I have no doubt he was a crock when purchased.

So who is to blame? Only one man as he has been single minded enough in disgarding decent players for his light weight load of snowflakes. Yes he has held his hands up over his many mistakes but this performance demonstrates a lack of nounce attacking ideas, how to drive a team forward with decent football.

Sorry but to lose 6 at home and carry no attacking threat with turgid footall is not acceptable. His excuse lastnight about MAYBE players are tired is a sackable offence. We concede goals from strikers who have only scored aainst us this season, as pointed out by previous poster.

No for me Lamouchi goes, not for the promotion prospects but for giving the fans crap players and dreadful home performances. Oh and away from home we average about 2 shots on target so that is just containment football.

When i saw that excuse for a footballer with gloves on last night i thought lamouchi you have learnt nothing!

rutland red1

1.) 07 Mar 2020 10:09:11
Nothing else to add Rutland summed up 100% as usual.
Lamouchi won't be here next year and I for one will be glad to come out of my coma at home games. I can understand the players being tired they've played 37 games and the rest of the teams in the championship have only played 37 games.
The same boring sound bytes coming from Lamouchi is starting to sound like a worn out politician.

06 Mar 2020 22:54:42
Lets put this into some kind of perspective. This is us. Our attacking play is awful and when we get forward it ends with a speculative hump into the box. I said 3 weeks ago that another sheff weds humping is just around the corner, and here it is. I questioned our keeper being rooted to his line and here it was in spades tonight. I pointed out that our football is probably the poorest in the league and that point you cannot argue with. Its easy to find fault collectively but individually? What is semedo? Please someone tell me. Gloves on yup he is up for a fight, awful footballer. Carvalaho is still a mystery, on a different wavelength some say, well if he could do the simple stuff milwall would not have scored the first. Diahkarby came on so i'm told, did not notice him.
So to the big point. We ditched some decent midfield players without them kicking a ball this season. Strange. We replace with crap. We have a player in bostock who i said early season plsys with his head up and has an eye for a pass. I knowcthe game was already lost but his introduction added a whole new dimension in ball retention, kilker passes and he actually hit 2 good shots. Why has lamouchi played the dross that is semedo and diahkarby and sometimes yates when Bostock is so far down the pecking order. Yes we are missing sow and silva but we have drafted in enough players to at least make a fist of it.
Going into the final push, business end of the season we should be building a head of steam, consolidating and looking like a unit. We look lost and a makeshift outfit. Lost like our manager in his post match interview, that eas embaressing.

rutland red1

1.) 07 Mar 2020 08:01:02
Got to say bostock looked awesome but that just shows how bad the midfield looked ameobi and ribiero knew where each other were and played great grabbon ran his socks off again and looked frustrated as you would seeing as though he's a poacher with no service and being pulled out of his place to cover others another bottom 3 performance.

03 Mar 2020 10:01:03
Had to laugh at the bitching from boro re Grabban fouling their keeper. Very clever movement from Lewis and a stupendous finish.
All he did was put himself infront of the keeper and made himself big by stretching out his arms, to intercept the ball. How many times do defenders usher the ball out for a goal kick with flailing arms arses stuck out virtually assaulting the attacker trying to get at the ball. Goal keepers come out with knees very high and punch through players head. the most interesting question to woodgate when he cried it was a foul would have been " so you never tell your defenders to cut off the keeper and get a man in front and behind to obstruct him for coming for crosess? Poor argument and well done the ref for seeing it as fair play.

rutland red1

1.) 03 Mar 2020 10:56:37
Goalkeeper was too weak, it was entirely his fault.

2.) 03 Mar 2020 11:01:02
He wouldn8have moaned if it was the other way round most of the managers are the same, that's why I like sabri at least he as the nerve to say that was the worse away game he's seen us play, just hope we pick our game up friday millwall's a going to be a harder game.

I reckon Carvalho and Bostock will start.

Cardiff missed Tomlin lastnight. Think they have lost the last 2 games since his injury. Out for two months massive loss for them. He is a proper no10 strong and threads people in and has a goal in him. If only hhhmmmm.

Probably injured for us, if we'd signed him. 🙄.

Don goodman is a great pundit. Speaks from the heart and says what he sees. Not read whatvhe says but my guess would be that we need more goals and creativity!

I agree red hot but though blessed with skilĺ silva does not impact on enough games and maybe its pace that let's him down can't fault his effort something Missing at this level.

Our back four and keeper are amoungst the best in the league. And our holding two very strong. It will be scrappy odd goal victories for sure. Very interesting two months scouse.

Its not the first time. And why make such an elementary error at this crucial stage of the season. The players who battled so valiantly against Leeds etc will not be happy to see their efforts wiped out by a piss poor shambles lastnight. Instead of going into the Albion game bouyed a point or three, its roll your sleeves up and try and regroup agajnst a rampant powerfull wba.

Stevie f, would you rather watch a decent team in this league with an adventurous coach or this lot fluke it to the prem?
Marinakis only wants the prem and wants it yesterday. I think the fans might be more realietic in our potential and standing.

We might stumble into the playoffs. We are just an average team in this average league. Anyone from 14th can make the play offs.

Docm. Carvalho has no pace to recover, his suicide passing gives posession away when we are pressing like the first goal lastnight. He is a luxury we cannot afford. Its going wrong because lamouchi is naive, does not learn and his luck runs out. We got lucky at albion with their last kick goal. We desperately needed fire power in Jan what we got was garbage that has weakened us further. Make no mistake we have been given the top six on a plate but just keep blowing every opportunity.
