We were out of luck, but what is a real plus is that MON/RK worked out how Preston play and stopped them doing just that. We had some bad luck and Grabban failed to take a chance, but we are moving our formations around and the two central defenders are stopping the old aerial threats and crosses.

We are improving and holding our own. Never give up: other results could surprise everyone. Hang in there and see if we can sweep up a few wins after Direby. This League can change rapidly, teams can falter, players can get injured, We look a much better team now, they need all our help on Monday!

Soudani out for the rest of the season. We do seem to pick up duds.

1.) 05 Feb 2019 13:21:18
Utter waste. He never looked fit

2.) 05 Feb 2019 15:48:40
Worse still he never looked any good

3.) 05 Feb 2019 16:34:53
Said it before and Iโ€™ll say it again, couldโ€™ve got Jack Marriot for the same transfer fee. Albeit Marriot rising to ยฃ6m dependant on appearances, goals etc; but he is into double figures goals wise, plays every game and never stops running and chasing down. Soudani is a dud, spends most of his time on the injured list and is a waste of money.
Another duff signing.

4.) 05 Feb 2019 17:19:13
So are we blaming this one on Team Marinakis or Aitor Karanka?

C'mon chaps, gimme a thumbs down if AK is to blame again, I like to be kept in the loop on this blame game.

5.) 05 Feb 2019 19:55:48
I'd say he wanted him as he tried to get him in the Jan window along with Dawson.
You've got to admit mate he is crap, one and a half millions worth as well.
THE point your missing is that karanka wanted so many out the door without giving a chance to most.
He got a superb performance out of the players he inherited against wolves so wholesale changes in the worst transfee window was not the answer, lolley being the only exception even with all his new additions he set a record that I doubt will be beaten for not scoring, his legacy is I'm afraid going to cost us,we can't be far off ffp now.

6.) 05 Feb 2019 21:40:44
Some of the duff signings were an act of sheer petulance after the Preston game which then became a grudge in the Summer. I still think the club signed the players but karanka probably insisted he wanted new players to replace all of those he bore a grudge against. Reality is most of them are worse than what we had before . Lord , what a mess again.

7.) 05 Feb 2019 21:50:33
2 star you've just landed on my planet.welcome ๐Ÿ‘

8.) 05 Feb 2019 23:01:16
After he spent 13.5 mill on carvalho everyone doubled there asking price when we showed interest, that deal should if been kept quiter, we were offered Marriott at 7 mill derby paid 3 mill plus add one same with bamford I'm sure I remember 14 mill being the price we were asked for yet he went to Leeds for 7 mill paying way over the odds for carvalho for everyone to see made your transfer business nearly impossible

9.) 06 Feb 2019 09:38:44
And where pray are these "culled" players plying their trade now?๐Ÿค”
Just think where we would be with them now?๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿคฃ

10.) 06 Feb 2019 10:34:07
Same place as we are now๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

11.) 06 Feb 2019 10:48:17
It is interesting to watch people who were so utterly convinced we were moving forwards with AK now deciding the club is in a mess and making a lot of poor signings.

If we were making such great progress how come suddenly the same squad with players added (apart from Fox) is a bunch of "duds"?

12.) 06 Feb 2019 11:48:38
I was thinking the rc

13.) 07 Feb 2019 13:47:48
Ain't it all down to the players not performing last time I looked they are the ones on the pitch problem is the players they know their safe and its the manager who'll get the sack fare enough manager sets them up and provides the tactics but they have to show so character and some passion.

31 Jan 2019 21:03:10
Edser to Port Vale for the rest of the season. It'll do him good.

31 Jan 2019 18:25:53
Molla Wague likely to come in on loan, central defender.

1.) 31 Jan 2019 19:04:54
Italian window has closed? Can we still get the deal done or does it just stop Italian clubs signing?

2.) 31 Jan 2019 21:57:03
My widow is closed as well, freezing out there.๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

31 Jan 2019 12:16:14
Milosevic reportedly having medical, Club has said Osborn not for sale. Kanon a possibility. But all speculation.

1.) 31 Jan 2019 13:42:00

2.) 31 Jan 2019 15:35:32
Same to you. .

3.) 31 Jan 2019 15:55:01
Paul Taylor teased we were interested in a winger and Osbourn-Mclean deal looks dead but some press reporting we are interested in Mo Barrow. Quite underwhelming as he blows hot and cold and wasnโ€™t amazing when we had him on loan a few season back.

Derby lost today in the FA Cup. Shame!

1.) 16 Feb 2019 15:07:27
That's Brighton me up!

16 Feb 2019 09:26:43
Let's hope we do not suffer from yet another poor referee today. It does feel like as a group they are out to hit us as hard as they can.

13 Feb 2019 21:17:48
We are only a few games in to the MON/RK experience but to me there are several pluses;
1. Formations are Flexible
2. Players are confident
3. We look like a team playing for each other.
4. Management interviews are honest, clear and optimistic.
5. Players are being given chances.
6. The actual football looks better.
7. There is more positivity than negativity.
8. The Management is showing it cares about the players and vice-versa.
9. There is still room for improvement and the players etc. know it.
10. The Forest Spirit is coming to Life at long last.
Never mind the losses, the referees, the mistakes, it feels like a real Club again!

1.) 13 Feb 2019 21:29:44
Very, very good post. Letโ€™s hope heโ€™s got plenty of life in hi. Yet.

2.) 13 Feb 2019 21:31:29
Nice one bsered ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

3.) 13 Feb 2019 21:33:57
Agreed. That was a tight unit lastnight. A forest not witnessed for years. The desire and formation was solid. Hope to see you all at Preston on saturday. Its only 20 miles along the road๐Ÿ˜‰

4.) 13 Feb 2019 21:50:55
It was always going to be that way under Martin letโ€™s hope heโ€™s given time bsered

5.) 13 Feb 2019 22:04:37
A short run along the M65 fortunately bypassing Blackburn !

6.) 13 Feb 2019 22:08:01
Yates high pressure and crunching tackles are great

7.) 13 Feb 2019 22:23:31
Nice to see the away form back on song with the newbies fitting in well and Yates providing the driving force in midfield. Hope he can maintain his form as he adds something different to the rest. As Keano takes him under his wing the lad has the best mentor he could wish for.

Onward & Upward

8.) 14 Feb 2019 07:54:57
Forest are Red
Violet's are Blue,
Martin and Roy,
The Chosen Two!!!

9.) 14 Feb 2019 10:34:41
And to add to that list, some real passion on the sidelines during the game from Mon and RK, which must translate on to the pitch.

12 Feb 2019 21:57:15
We were very unlucky. WBA are no big threat to anyone. We really do need to beat Preston to stay in it.

12 Feb 2019 19:04:58
No room for Cash tonight either on the pitch or as sub. Maybe he is carrying a knock. Watson and Colback on together but not sure if both are Defensive Midfielders. I'm not convinced Janko is our best right back.

Appiah played yesterday against Barnsley. So far he's not even making the bench, so maybe MON/RK not so impressed?

Are we not still paying him money in compensation?

Milo is an unknown quantity, but he and Benalouane could be the key to stopping all the set piece headers and crosses we come unstuck with. I doubt he's fully match fit yet so very early days, but unfortunately we need these new guys to hit the ground running - was that a factor or not in their appointments? Doubt it.

Well Ff799, Watson not playing, not captain and not on the bench. Back to Grabban partnering Murphy up front, so all change. Colback captain, wonder if that will stop the yellow cards? - doubt it!

If Gayle had appealed and lost his appeal he would have been banned for 6 games. Taking a 2-match ban would have been the advice given to him at WBA. It's still all corrupt.

Cash and Wague injured so doubtful, Janko will carry on at right back. Osborn will play.

Dias never seemed to get to grips with what was needed in our League, and I doubt somehow that Goncalves or Carvahlo will either. Lots of 6 foot 4 inch blokes kicking lumps out of anything that moves are not easy impediments to get around. If he's doing well in the Greek League good luck to him, but the place is a couple of steps down from the top 10 in the Championship. Like a lot of transfers in since 2011 many of us were underwhelmed when they arrived. Just think: we could have been giving Yates, Appiah, Gomis, Edser, Grant and Walker chances instead of them - an under MON/RK that might have been a much better move.
