Enjoyable second half after a woeful first.
Had Murphy converted one of his two great second half headed chances we would have had an unlikely point.

Ben Osborn has his critics but i thought when he came on he gave us much needed momentum and at least tries to drive the team forward. Granted he gives the ball away on occasion but always gives his all and is a far better option than Bouchalakis and Bridcutt who seem pedestrian in comparison.

Brereton is a complete waste of a shirt at the moment. Yes being played out of position but his body language is all wrong. As No 22 so rightly said there is no excuse for not putting in a shift. Move him or lose him. Darikwa is very poor defensively and it baffles me why he starts ahead of Lichaj. Cohen, Vaughan,Ward and Mancienne would i think make a massive difference to us but they are rarely fit. Mckay is our only highlight at present but more often than not finds himself against three players.

Every time the ball goes in our half i fear we will concede and that cannot be right. I don't pretend to have all the answers but something ain't right and all of you that say we are a work in progress are just deluded. A very frustrated Forest fan.

Completely agree, we need Mancienne back in the defence, Worrall needs to be dropped for a few games.
We defo need a solid defender & a good goal keeper in Jan window.

2.) 24 Sep 2017 07:37:56
Ben Breretons body language is all wrong because he is being asked to play out of position, it all started against the friendly at Notts County, he came on second half and played through the middle, he was full of energy and scored. Next minute he was told to play right wing and he looked like a kid in a sweet shop with no money to spend. He should put in a shift but MW needs to change things instead of churning out a pretty much unchanged 11 each game. Mills is terrible, Worrall inexperienced, Darikwa and Traore go missing up the field far too much, keeper inexperienced. opposition teams do their homework before a game and they just know how to punish us.

Red Fred reporting from sunny Majorca. Went to my lucky bar to watch the game. (I know, should have watched the play-off matches there but couldn't) . Well what an afternoon, wasn't sure about team selection and feared the worst when Caryol went off and we went off the boil after 5 mins especially given our poor second half record. Bread man stuck to his guns and it paid off. What a moment when Cohen scored the second to give us some breathing space! The San Miguel will flow freely tonight. COYR'S!

Hope you wearing dark glasses Fred, all that sunlight after coming out the cave
Seriously have a great holiday and I was wrong last week at QPR but I love my away trips and if I didn't feel positive there'd be no point going
Viva Espani enjoy mate.

According to today's paper vaughan definately out for season after appendix opetation. Maybe that will give us green light to get someone else in?

Red Fred

1.) If Vaughan is out for the season then surely we will send him back to Sunderland, it would then make room on wage bill for another signing. Gazza 2969

2.) Sorry, but think no one will come.

Forest Dane

3.) Build it and they will come.

4.) When I removed my appendix I was back at work 3 days after surgery, so this is definatley not the reason Vaughan is out for 3 months. TorofNorway

5.) 75 days till the playoff final
17 days until the transfer window closes

If we are getting in a loan why wait?

It looks like we are not bringing in loans

6.) You removed your own appendix!

7.) We might wait until the very last day to bring loans in to keep the costs down following our 17m losses. Gazza 2969

8.) How hard is TorofNorway - not for his speedy return to work but the fact that he removed his own appendix?

Well 'hard!

9.) Tor maybe you should have removed Vaughan's too? there's a lot to be said for self treatment lol

10.) TorofNorway, removing your own appendix & back to work in 3 days. Impressive.

11.) Depends on what the agreement is with Vaughan. If he is coming to us on a permanent basis, then sending him back to Sunderland may not be an option. Loaning players is difficult, 1) getting the right quality and who is available 2) wage bill, we have to adhere to FFP, which as it stands we arent, so adding to that won't help.

12.) Vaughan is out for the season because of a fractured knee cap, so they're doing his appendix at the same time.
It's a bit similar to Andy Read who was out with a calf problem so they did his hernia at the same time.
Like I'm going to the dentist on Thursday & I'll go and get my haircut at the same time lol.

13.) Its a combination of both, this being his second appendix operation so probably means complications. Sounds like you don't know whether your having a dump or a haircut lol.

14.) Second appendix operation, How many appendix do you have?

15.) Perhaps Thor from Norway could sort Vaughn's kneecap as well

16.) To be honest how many teams could put out a half decent team after the injuries we have had, I do think we would have been top 3 if not so many players out. Billy has brought players to this club that have improved it.
I for one don't want 2 see him go and that's not because I don't question him and his tactics sometimes, He deserves a good crack of the whip without the bad luck we have suffered

17.) So you have doctors in England doing easy operations? You lucky people:) TorofNorway

MIlls is bound to get some stick for conceding the free kick but that's the last 2 games now an opposing player (Kodjia for Villa, Fredericks tonight) has been allowed to travel way too far with the ball before one of our players has intervened. Both resulted in free kick goals against when we were well in both games. The midfield has to take a lot of the responsibility for that. Bring em down before they get near our bloody box!

Red Fred

1.) 26 Sep 2017 22:33:26
Thats right Fred the lad tonight carried the ball through acres of space. If looked like Benny was running backwards !

2.) 26 Sep 2017 23:11:37
Watch the 1st goal again.mills runs with te attacker then leaves him without telling anyone to cover!he just runs 5yards in a leaves the attacker to do what he wants.that is shocking defending in my eyes.if your running with that player don't just leave him

Just got back from the game (pirelli stadium only 10 mins from my house) . The way Burton play there was no need for both Vaughan and Mancienne holding. Mancienne has no distribution at all when played there and we looked a lot better when Cash came on. McCormack did absolutely nothing. Breretton along with Britt cannot play alone up front. Clough wasted 2 good chances inside the first 10 mins when he completely scuffed his shots when well placed. Unlucky with the goal, had we scored first i think we could have opened them up at will but when Burton score first or equalise in a game they are a hard nut to crack. I'm genuinly concerned for our Championship safety now. Cannot see us getting owt against the sheep.

Next saturday. Forest v Brighton: Bristol City v Burton: Blackburn v Wigan. More than likely going to be a really bad weekend for us.

Red Fred

1.) 25 Feb 2017 18:50:57
I think the scores will be:

Forest v Brighton 2-2

Bristol City v Burton 3-1

Blackburn v Wigan 2-1.

2.) 25 Feb 2017 19:01:50
I think we'll win 7-0
CARLO.

3.) 25 Feb 2017 21:19:02
At least!

14 Feb 2017 21:51:40
If you ain't got a decent keeper how can you expect to win games consistantly?
No keeper worth his salt at the club.
Stephen "oops the balls gone over my head" Henderson. Vladimir "Clown" Stojkovic. Jordan"who? "Smith. Dimitar"i had a nightmare debut at Hillsborough" Evtimov.
Come on please get a decent keeper!

Red Fred

1.) 15 Feb 2017 00:26:55
Had a nightmare debut at hillsborough? are you right in the head? he made one mistake and made 3or 4 quality saves keeping us in the game. give ya head a wobble.

2.) 15 Feb 2017 06:18:44
Exactly my point! what's the use saving a few if you then let a routine save slip straight through you? It was an absolute howler which cost us the game. His other saves counted for nothing.

3.) 15 Feb 2017 07:06:28
That to me isn't having a nightmare and a reason to doubt his ability! what would of given him less confidence is the muppet who was in charge at the time letting sheff wed attack us all game then after him making an error dropping him for the next game.
Every goalkeeper makes errors does that mean every goalkeeper in the world is no good?

4.) 15 Feb 2017 07:39:29
UTF your main agenda on here seems to be trying in vain to defend the undefendable (Fawaz and certain players spring to mind) . In some walks of life this can be an honourable trait to have. Unfortunately on here it can make you come across as a complete moron.
How anyone can describe Evtimov's debut at Hillsborough as anything but a nightmare beggers belief. Keep taking the tablets my friend.

5.) 15 Feb 2017 17:56:09
Basically your saying any keeper that makes a mistake leading to a goal should be chucked in the bin and never play again?
And you call me a moron?!

6.) 15 Feb 2017 19:14:55
Not chucked in the bin no! My original statement was we ain't got a decent keeper at the club and Evtimov had a nightmare at Hillsborough to which you disagreed.
He found himself playing in the Portugese second division which should tell you his level and how highly he is rated.
Not being good enough at a certain level does not mean you aren't good enough for a lower level.

Haha uptheforest! You can't seriously use the Millwall game as a reason for keeping a clean sheet without Mills.
We looked as bad at the back as we have in ages in that game and Mills not playing had nothing to do with keeping a clean sheet. It was sheer luck and woeful finishing.
I think you know that but your contempt for Mills is making you clutch at straws.

Wouldn't read too much into the celebration. Especially phsycho_clough76. Lichaj always goes ballistic when he scores which ain't often. Remember him doing similar when he scored a rasper against Burnley in 2015.

Agreed. We aren't physical or nasty enough. Direby were there for the taking but beat us at a canter because we're far to easy to score against.
Every team that plays us must fancy scoring with the midfield and defence too easily breached. It's not great passing ripping us apart but just one runner allowed to carry the ball too far or one through ball that cuts through us like butter.
If we score first against Burton we could get a bagfull but if they have something to cling on to they are like a dog with a bone.
Big game for Warburton me thinks.

Regardless of formation, a fullback or wingbacks priority is to defend or you may as well play out and out wingers. Defensively in that position i wouldn't pay Traore or Fox and even Darikwa for that matter in rusty washers. Fox is excluded from that when playing as a centre back.
If i had a pound for everytime i'd seen an opposition runner ghost past Darikwa and Traore like they wern't even there this season i'd have at least a tenner by now.

I'd like to see him back in the team 2star. Trouble is where does he fit into Warburton's recent system playing with 2 wingbacks and a central midfield 3?
