First of all millwall were well worth their point our keeper had an absolute stinker, and very few come out with any credit nobody else said anything but I thought hef had a shocker, the manager went all defensive despite the fact we were 2up i'm going to say no more about carvallhio nice free kick but spent most of the night giving the ball away, grabban was a total passenger lolly the only real bright spark thought we might improve but looks like I could be wrong poor night all in.

1.) 04 Oct 2018 01:27:48
I wish the boss would start with Dawson and Murphy against physical sides. It looks obvious to me but not to the boss for some reason.

I can't help feeling like the people on here who reckon this system doesn't suit Grabban were right. He has still only scored a couple of goals in the league apart from penalties. Surely the boss can work out how to get more out of him?

Finally, for a defensive approach we are conceding too many STILL!

This team has promise but it feels like something is still missing. With these players how can we be on the back foot against Millwall?

2.) 04 Oct 2018 09:23:38
Grabban is a goalpoacher, nothing else to his game, great when you play two up,but looks lost alone.
The defence looked poor all night and got a let off early when they hit the bar, doesn't help when they know the goalie will stay rooted to his line all the time and not take charge of high balls.
Heff had a very poor game getting beat numerous times in the air and we still don't look like scoring from corners.
We didn't deserve all three points, but after calvahalo goal that should have been it,don't think karanka covered himself in glory with the final two subs, sitting back and defending was asking for trouble with our fragile defence and dodgy goalie

3.) 04 Oct 2018 10:52:39
Ff79 they also had a good goal disallowed. Pants is a liability. Flat footed, never comes for crosses and inspires no confidence in those around him. As for his distribution??? Captain calamity. Simply a baffoon.
This was a game for Murphy with A another playing tight off him. Grabban offers nothing in this one up role. Dias and Carv are like boys playing for their school. Wonder about with no idea how to move to shape things and are woeful in posession. Why the defence was so poor lastnight? Msybe we were too deep and invited pressure from all angles. Every cross they put in equalled panic stations. can't remember their keeper having anything to deal with. AK needs to stop showing blind loyalty to certain players, assess the opposition and adapt. If thst means more physicality than Fox then it needs doing. Geddy is back to his inconsitent best too. Lastnight was such a disappointment. Not the result the manner in which we went about it. Totally outgunnsd by a poor Millwall side. Step up AK

4.) 04 Oct 2018 11:26:55
Ff I thought heff should have closed down quicker for Blackburn’s 2nd on Saturday too

5.) 04 Oct 2018 11:27:24
To be fair Rutland other than 70 mins in the WBA game we've played badly all season at home in championship, been very lucky at times, that luck will run out I'm afraid.

6.) 04 Oct 2018 20:44:47
Absolutely ff. 70 mins against WBA is it as far as the league is concerned.
The football under Karanka is boring as hell and although the style is defensive the defence is awful. We still concede far too many.
Hefele is slower than a cart horse and Fox never wins a header from a cross.

We have scraped last min draws at Wigan Blackburn and at home to Brum so last night was “own medicine”, reality is we deserved to lose last night.

7.) 04 Oct 2018 21:07:23
Got to agree north Notts can't see us getting enough wins to be up there,we seem to keep grabbing a couple of goals from nowhere somehow, never create many clear cut chances then make individual errors at the back,to me we played with 8 men last night, grabban and calvahalo were non existent and we didn't have a goalkeeper.
You can't carry three players and get away with it.
Most hilarious comment I heard last night was in the car on the way home,Steve Hodge on the radio blaming the fans for shouting at pants to throw it quickly, took his time as usual and then panicked 🤣🤣🤣🤣

28 Aug 2018 22:39:59
Think it's really disappointing how all the optimism and feel good factor around the club seems to be rapidly evaporating, have been on the fence with regard to AK, but there doesn't seem to be any clear plan with team selection, etc we've had a huge turnover of players since he came in, but the same old failings are still apparent, the slow starts the concession of early goals, the aerial weakness in our own box, we seem stuck with the same rigid tactics, and all the chopping and changing of personnel, which is reminiscent of the montanier reign, yes it's early, but to me the signs are not positive, is there anyone that can sort this club out? We seem jinxed,

Stevie f

1.) 29 Aug 2018 08:38:24
Agreed stevie are we any further forward then last year have we made progress ?i don't think so apart from 21000 season cards that is tonight will be the test against newcastle to see how far if any we have become

2.) 29 Aug 2018 09:36:12
The only difference is we haven’t lost any games. Might not have played well but it’s there in black and white. I seem to remember under Billy Davies time we had a couple of seasons when we failed to win in our first few games but made the play offs. The West Brom game highlights what the potential is, we’ve just got to work harder

3.) 29 Aug 2018 12:10:30
Most of the changes have been injuries or to bring in on-form players like Cash/Soudani. The exception was in the cup to give game time and when we brought in the new full backs (which most of the fans were calling for).

4.) 29 Aug 2018 13:30:38
What’s what the fans are calling for got to do with anything? Karanka is solely responsible for what’s turned out on match days not the paying customers, Osborn, Murphy lolley cash carvallhio Dias have all been ‘rotated ‘in a league season that’s only 5 games old little wonder that the ‘gelling ‘ is taking a little longer than hoped and if any of the optimists out there have seen any progression so far i’d really like to borrow your rose tinted glasses

5.) 29 Aug 2018 13:59:25
Can't argue with that Stevie, but for saying it you have officially become a foremoaner.

6.) 29 Aug 2018 14:25:26
They haven't been rotated. Murphy is second choice striker and Grabban is injured. Carvalho was off form and dropped. Soudani, Lolley and Cash were on form (all came on and scored) so they replaced players who were off form. If the manager didn't reward on form players the squad would be demoralised.

Some people just love a good moan. If anything is the managers fault it is that the work on the training ground is clearly not getting the players to perform.

7.) 29 Aug 2018 14:47:54
The last part of your post is the worrying bit as that's the job he's paid to do,if he can't translate trainng practice to a match then he's not getting across to the players what he wants, that's poor management

8.) 29 Aug 2018 14:58:06
1st of all you don know whether I like a good Moan or not what you’re telling me is players weren’t ‘rotated they were replaced or dropped what’s the difference?you sound like the politician who doesn’t want another referendum but a’people’s vote instead! and in the end everything is the managers responsibility whether we or he likes it or not

9.) 29 Aug 2018 15:42:19
Your not Boris Johnson red cyclist?😁😁

10.) 29 Aug 2018 19:42:36
Typical fickle nature of being a Forest fan

12.) 29 Aug 2018 23:02:57

14 Aug 2018 22:18:53
Can someone remind me are benfica wanting 20 mill for goncalves at the end of his loan?

Stevie f

1.) 14 Aug 2018 23:53:25
none of the Portuguese lads have done anything yet to suggest they are worth millions, people keep suggesting that its the same as wolves but its not they signed neves who was captain of porto at 18, I hadn't heard of Carvalho or goncalves before, but there's still time just hope they come good, more frustrated in dias as I thought he'd start well.

2.) 15 Aug 2018 08:46:49
Sincerely hope the 3 Portuguese don’t turn out like the 3 Italians platt bought in, cost the club a fortune and disappeared without trace

3.) 15 Aug 2018 13:33:40
Can't believe how negative some people are here. Have you actually watched us play? Firstly, the Goncalves deal is £15m structured over 3 years if we want him permanently. He has looked off the pace but give him a chance! Took a while for even Ronaldo to settle but he turned out alright!
As for the other two, they were great against WBA, especially Dias. Their touch and work-rate were excellent and clearly they have quality we've been lacking. Just because they haven't scored yet no need to get on their backs after a couple of games!

4.) 15 Aug 2018 13:41:23
I’m with nick on that one. Just because they don’t score or assist doesn’t mean they’re not good players. All of the Portuguese lads have very good work rates and you need that in this league so give them one to find their feet a bit more and the goals will come.
But until then at least get behind them and not slag them off

5.) 15 Aug 2018 14:29:03
Forest nick yes mate been to every game and will be at wigan Saturday how about you ? And another thing I haven’t actually criticised them just asked about the how about getting down off your ‘loyal fan ‘ high horse?

6.) 15 Aug 2018 22:25:56
Stevie, I heard 20 million mentioned and think we paid 13 million for carvalho. I’m impressed with their work rate to date. Lile I said before let’s wait until we get to the cold days / nights before we either rejoice or lament.

7.) 15 Aug 2018 23:31:10
yes of course there's time and i'm sure all forest fans will give them the time, my point was I thought dias would hit the ground running as he did have a very good pre season but 60 mins against wba is not a great start, i see positives in this forest team and 1 is a battling never say die attitude that we didn't have last year.

21 May 2018 21:49:00
Hi everyone long time reader 1st time poster, am interested that a lot of people on here seem to be against the possible signing of Dawson maybe they've not noticed we can't defend high balls, the fact he's an ex player is surely irrelevant if he can do the job.

Stevie f

1.) 22 May 2018 06:36:05
Agree he would add some height to defend set peices but having watched him a few times this season for Hull, my reservation is that he is a little slow nowadays and he struggles to defend against quick attacking players.

2.) 22 May 2018 08:51:10
If he comes on a free and wages are low he would be a good purchase. AK can motivate him much better than Adkins, and we have Figgy and Worrall with pace.

3.) 22 May 2018 08:59:00
Karanka wants experienced players that are vocal that play with commitment and skill, whether Dawson can do the job or not we can not be sure but there must be younger players than him that fill the required wants of the manager that we can get, even if they are only 2 or 3 years younger.

4.) 22 May 2018 12:58:56
Cahill in the England Squad at age 34.

5.) 22 May 2018 13:13:47
Bsered, as may be but would another manager play him, or play a 31, or 32 year old.

6.) 22 May 2018 16:16:29
Or they could play John stones in stead of him way younger.byt then again he’s worse than Cahill so sort of goes against what your saying.

7.) 22 May 2018 16:38:46
Sutton_red85, so you believe there is no player that is younger, even slightly younger than Cahill that is either equal in talent or more talented than him.

8.) 22 May 2018 16:54:02
The choice is England is limited because we have so few good centre backs. Maybe Lascelles will improve, and I always thought Jagielka was better than Cahill anyway. I'm not saying I agree with Cahill's selection, but he's pretty dependable in what he can do.

9.) 22 May 2018 20:39:31
Stevie f welcome sorry no one else said so,enjoy and don't be intimidated, day what you think.
Dawson? It's tough one are we remembering how he was? A great young talent?
Certainly proved himself and got the experience, but des cane back and was a shadow of his former self.
There lies the dilema
Me personally would leave it and move on.

10.) 22 May 2018 22:28:45
Ff799 thanks for the welcome mate, not expecting the Dawson of old but he can still head kick, and lead people raving about Fig, but i believe he's got plenty to prove anyone who saw Bamford of all people work him over at boro must realise that.

11.) 23 May 2018 09:21:37
Must admit figs did have a couple of shaky performances,One being at Boro, looked good prior to that though.

Hands up from me tonight, carvallhio showed some real quality tonight and lolley what can I say? Superb not forgetting grabban.

Stevie f

1.) 28 Nov 2018 22:33:14
Lolley scored one and set up the other 4 with great final balls.

2.) 28 Nov 2018 23:19:59
£13m looking like good business. Much more effective than Grealish the £30m man!

3.) 29 Nov 2018 00:02:20
Get sick and tired of seeing grealish rolling about on the floor

18 Nov 2018 08:47:11
Just a brief summary of our serial thumbs downer he doesn't like people who help cancer charities, is indifferent to people who die in helicopter crashes, doesn't like players coming back from long term injuries, doesn't like our under 21's winning, likes notts county, and derby, doesn't like people stating facts or asking questions, what a nice person this is, I think we've been infiltrated!

Stevie f

1.) 18 Nov 2018 11:16:00
That's all from the same person is it??

2.) 18 Nov 2018 12:37:10
Psycho well I am hoping so because if not we got several unpleasant posters on here

3.) 18 Nov 2018 13:13:39
Stevie it won't be just one mate and I wouldn't let it bother you,the thumbs down can mean different things,it could be the thumbs down was for going to county and nothing else to do with cancer fund raising which is probably nearer the truth.
It's all about opinions and creepy took it to heart which is quite sad as I enjoyed his posts.
Best just to ignore it post what you feel and let posters decide wether they agree or disagree with their thumbs

4.) 18 Nov 2018 13:47:03
Ff mate don’t give a toss about thumbs down to my posts water off a ducks back but the 2to 51’spost regarding cancer charity are sick

5.) 18 Nov 2018 18:03:40
Psycho think you’d argue in an empty house mate my post was obviously a compilation of some unpleasant thumbs down and some surprising ones . Someone has been using the word pedantic a bit recently your post was ridiculously so

6.) 18 Nov 2018 20:45:29
The post came across as you think it was just one person that was doing it. I was just asking a question whether that was the case or not. Incidentally, your original post was a lot more ridiculous than mine. I think your the one after an argument

7.) 19 Nov 2018 08:13:37
It would seem that we are doing what the thumbs downer would want us to lads!

8.) 19 Nov 2018 14:25:46
Psycho by the way didn’t say your original post was ridiculous, said it was ridiculously pendantic big difference mate

9.) 19 Nov 2018 16:18:00
Yep suppose writing a post objecting to someone thumbs downing a bloke collecting for a cancer charity was a bit ridiculous sorry

{Ed033's Note - Do people think the thumbs down should be removed from this site?

10.) 19 Nov 2018 17:30:55
Don't see why it bothers anyone edd, like I said I think the thumbs had nothing to do with collecting for cancer charity, it would be more than likely that the thumbs down were because he went to meadow lane.
It's sometimes how people interpret posts when reading them.

{Ed033's Note - definitely, you can't make a determination on on someone's intent from a thumbs down click. It could easily be that someone new on the site decided to see what exactly happens when they click on the thumbs.

11.) 19 Nov 2018 23:25:58
No ed, don’t think thumbs down should be removed but when a thumbs down is sick ie cancer or people getting killed in crashes think it’s entitled to be pointed out 99.9 % of the time it’s harmless

{Ed033's Note - Maybe the thumbs down should take some THC oil to prevent it from becoming ill.

31 Oct 2018 08:28:11
That's what you get for disrespecting the competition and the opposition a great opportunity missed.

Stevie f

1.) 31 Oct 2018 10:25:21
Great opportunity missed yes but how has the competition been disrespected?

2.) 31 Oct 2018 10:57:41
Perks because he played an under strength team ,baring in mind this is a place we have never won with any full strength xi we’ve ever taken, and he’s disrespected the fans who travelled plus not given the club the best chance of a potential bumper pay day maybe he never noticed what happened to Burnley in the last round there a premier club who tried the same thing

3.) 31 Oct 2018 13:01:44
Who were the under strength players?

4.) 31 Oct 2018 21:17:11
No lolley no grabban
No Robinson no fig etc 10 changes from the league team what u on about??

28 Oct 2018 12:00:29
One thing I will say is karanka handled the whole situation with real dignity he was a credit to the club after the match, just trying to imagine how Leeds would have reacted the other way around or some plank like warnock given those circumstances.

Stevie f

1.) 28 Oct 2018 13:20:01
Stevie, quite correct, AK was the same when Henderson used his hand to score for Forest at Boro in 2014. Can't recall him getting stick on this site though, think any player would have done the same as Roofe, pure instinct but admit it was worse being Leeds.I was at Leeds and to be fair to the officials it was hard to tell without replays.
On another note I can't believe the negative comments about Carvalho and the other Portugeuse players, they need time to adjust but Carvalho in particular is a class above and will be a great addition.

2.) 28 Oct 2018 14:17:45
Carvalho a class above? What do you base that on exactly? Not from his performances in a Forest shirt so far.

3.) 28 Oct 2018 15:00:47
You are saying Karanka handled this perfectly, well what about Roofe he handled it perfectly as well.

4.) 28 Oct 2018 15:02:03
He’s just offering a balanced view ?

5.) 28 Oct 2018 15:22:56
re Portuguese lads they are young and inexperienced in our league.
The only way they will get experience and toughen up is by playing.
I agree yesterday Carvalho had a torrid time and by the look on his face didn't want to be out there but that's part of his learning.
He will toughen up and get better
It was a 10 man defence master class.

6.) 28 Oct 2018 15:58:13
Yep and a masterclass on how not to officiate l posted on here just after half time the ref had lost it and was giving them everything, think we should go out drown our sorrows with the Jacksonville jaguars that must have been some night out the 4of them had trying to do a runner after running up a bar bill of 50 grand!!

7.) 28 Oct 2018 16:43:28
yes the officials were poor throughout but they can't give something they didn't see, the linesman should have seen it though and probably bottled it under the home fans pressure.
Carvalho worked his socks off, but that is not his game, we have been crying out for a class link player and given time to adjust he will shine, I imagine a young Fabregas would have struggled in the championship to start with.
Not long ago people were on the backs of Osborn and Fox, a bit of encouragement rather than being critical would no doubt help.

8.) 29 Oct 2018 08:13:28
These people saying carvallhio is a class above make me laugh it’s surely based on his price tag,he’s just like majewski only radi was better

9.) 29 Oct 2018 08:28:32
Balanced view give over mate a young fabregas was starring for arsenal in the champions league

10.) 29 Oct 2018 09:56:34
Exactly, where you can use your class to dictate games, you are agreeing with me without knowing it. The championship is more rough and ready.

11.) 29 Oct 2018 12:00:43
balanced view so he can’t use his ‘class’ to dictate a game against Norwich, but would ok against Barcelona or Real Madrid?? Eh!??

12.) 30 Oct 2018 17:45:04
And Fabregas was at Arsenal for two years before he got a run out in the first team as it took that long to adjust.
Lets give these young lads time and they will come good.

27 Oct 2018 18:12:18
I'd get benny on for Jc not his sort of game.

Stevie f

1.) 27 Oct 2018 18:23:00

Redinexile i agree mate they ran around like lunatics for half an hour then their legs started to go and we started to get on top for most of the rest of the game, lampard was trying to play the 4th official all night ,and the referee was a disgrace for standing looking at a blatant elbow and not having the guts to do the right thing he’s a joker of a ref anyway,in fact they should have been down to 9 in the end
