Just read in the daily tit ( I didn't buy it, it was in my local cafe) that Jack Colback fears his Newcastle career could be over.
It doesn't sound like he is too excited about being with us.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 13 Nov 2018 16:37:52
I read the same, reading between the lines I think the guys really ambitious and wants Prem football, hopefully he's at the right club now.

2.) 13 Nov 2018 21:56:17
Did you buy your copy Daz😁

3.) 13 Nov 2018 22:08:54
When your contract is up at the end of the season and your out on loan for that season that pretty much tells you where your heading, being loaned out last season and this will also of told him where he’s heading.

4.) 13 Nov 2018 22:27:45
So where is he heading??😂😂😂

5.) 14 Nov 2018 08:04:23
Heard he was heading down the shop to buy his own copy ;)

6.) 14 Nov 2018 20:48:12
Rafa will be gone before his contract is up so Forest better get him signed up on a pre-contract at Christmas as we need him whichever division we end up in next season..

7.) 14 Nov 2018 21:40:11
Colback will not want to be with us next season if we are not in the Prem.

8.) 14 Nov 2018 21:49:44
Raffa won't get the bullet and Colback won't sign any contract while he's on 40K a week, he'll wait to see what's on offer as a free agent.

9.) 15 Nov 2018 10:24:19
Rafa will walk before next season when he gets no money in January. Colback got no takers from the Prem this summer and would prefer to stay at his home town club so we should try and tie him down next window.

10.) 16 Nov 2018 18:15:53
Great player and what we’ve missed since McKenna .

09 Nov 2018 21:00:55
I'm a big believer in if you play well, you keep your place in the team and as last weeks performance was better than most this season, I would like us to play the same team.
However, before last week, we would all pick Jack Colback so what should we do??
Claudio was superb but can he and Colback play together? Would they be as negative as Colback and Watson?
If I knew Claudio could play the Geddy role, then he and Colback all day long but we've only seen him play once so can he?
Bit of a dilemma eh guys!

Gazzibaldi

1.) 09 Nov 2018 21:49:16
Well I wouldn't worry too much about it, he praised bridcutt once and then never saw him again till Burton.
We'll find out about 2pm tomorrow.
The certainties are pants darikwa Robinson figs Dawson colback lolley Calvalho and grabban, just a choice of cash or Dias and geddy or jacob.

2.) 10 Nov 2018 02:39:54
FF, not sure about certainties with AK. Yes he has his favourites but not scared to drop anyone? Which I'm happy with, as long as we get the 3 points.👍

3.) 10 Nov 2018 08:35:19
Asstart worrying when starts playing Grabban on the wing week in week out.

4.) 10 Nov 2018 09:35:09
AK is settling on a back 6 when they are all fit. I have no issue of him rotating the front 5 to keep the high tempo game going as all the obvious first choice are just as capable of making an impact from the bench when he needs to freshen things up.

As we have had no mid week game I think he will start with the team that finished the Leeds game

5.) 10 Nov 2018 10:02:06
Why would you play Jacob in the Geddy role? In fear of stating the blindingly obvious, by definition Geddy is better suited to that role.

If anything Colbach is more creative than Jacob. Jacob is the archetypal DM general. Steady as a rock. Gives other midfielders/FBs freedom. So my guess is if he plays with Colbach Colbach will get slightly more freedom to get forward and be creative influence.

Colbach & Jacod makes more sense if the boss is concerned about opposition MF and wants to stifle them more and keep possession (Geddy gives the ball away more than the other MFs but is more likely to create something or score). At home I'd go for Guedioura and one of the other two them but it is a tough call.

In fact, scrap that. I'd go for the strongest two in the air and in the tackle as Stoke or a nightmare. Same in defence. Play whoever is strong in the air and or Stoke will kill us on set pieces. lol

First of all my thoughts are with the Leicester owner's family.

Back to my post. I have a theory about why Dias keeps getting picked. He has been so woefully poor most of the season that I can only assume he has something written into his loan contract saying he must play some part in a game if he is deemed fit.

I don't know his appearance stats, but I can't remember him sitting out a whole game. Yesterday was a prime example. Of all of the players in our first team squad, Dias was the least suitable player to be introduced at that particular stage of the match. It was asking for trouble. A midfield already weakened when Lolly was taken off was weakened further when the excellent Cash was replaced by Mr Featherlegs.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 28 Oct 2018 16:03:41
Cash was spent

2.) 28 Oct 2018 17:14:47
But Cash is still a force😁

3.) 28 Oct 2018 17:51:56
Both Lolley and Cash were spent the game was played at a high tempo for 95 minutes so the substitutions were necessary

4.) 28 Oct 2018 19:08:50
Cash is king

5.) 29 Oct 2018 14:25:17
Even if cash and lolley were spent they would of still played better than the Portuguese lads

6.) 29 Oct 2018 20:40:39
Its a marathon not a sprint the "Geezers" will come good!

7.) 29 Oct 2018 21:02:48
Ive seen better players in the non league no better than the players that have been shipped out by karsnka or the players that can't make the bench

04 Oct 2018 12:15:59
I have never seen so many dumbfounded supporters. Head shaking. Incredulous.
I have to leave home at 6pm to get to home matches and don't get back til 11pm.
I feel as though I've lost 5 hours of my life.
I cannot EVER remember my team playing as badly.

1.) 04 Oct 2018 14:39:32
You should have seen them play away at Wigan. I've never seen such woeful football.

2.) 04 Oct 2018 20:53:21
Well you’ve defo got short memories then

3.) 04 Oct 2018 21:14:01
Maybe you should try watching Sutton, that was woeful last night as was the previous one against rotherham.

4.) 05 Oct 2018 00:26:54
Yet 5th in table was minutes away

5.) 05 Oct 2018 08:36:25
Ff799: I was at the Rotherham match. The team played well, were on top the whole game and Osborn gained a penalty, so you and I obviously saw a different game.

6.) 05 Oct 2018 11:23:45
If you think the Rotherham game was good besred you need to go to spec savers.

7.) 06 Oct 2018 09:13:57
I didn't actually say the game was good in itself, the game was very average, but we rarely put a foot wrong and played better than I have witnessed over the last several years, but then I guess you are only concerned about negative criticism for its own sake. One loss in 13 matches so far is not too bad a start overall.

8.) 06 Oct 2018 09:15:13
Talking of spec-savers it's bsered not besred.

Appiah for sale 6m. Appiah not for sale. Two different reports circulating at the mo.
Assuming he is for sale at 6m, should we sell now?
He could be a world beater in three years but do we gamble and wait or cash in now?
If we could sign someone who would give us the value that Grabban has for 6m, short term massive gain.
Thoughts guys?

Gazzibaldi

1.) 16 Dec 2018 16:21:29
If the owners strategy is to sell academy players to buy high quality championship players then he will be sold. The only defence I can offer of it is that when was the last time we produced a world beater. We keep hoping that they will all be world beaters but it doesn’t really turn out that way does it? I think if they were that promising they maybe wouldn’t be in our academy in the first place? The evidence appears to suggest that it’s unlikely that we have a world beater on our hands. Tough call glad I’m not making it as it’s hard to keep everyone happy all of the time.

2.) 16 Dec 2018 17:30:52
Id keep him. he's something special.

3.) 16 Dec 2018 21:37:56
Is he. How many times you watched him play Rogie?

4.) 16 Dec 2018 22:03:22
I’ve watched him quite a lot for our youth teams as well as in the England set up. He’s a class above the rest for his age and the level he’s playing at. Currently I would say he could definitely cut it at this level if he gets game time (maybe a loan to a smaller club) and depending on how he performs in this division will tell us the standard he’ll be at in 3 years. I’d like to think in 3 years we’re in the top flight and he’s our best player with a lot of big clubs interested for big money but he’ll turn them down because forest.

5.) 17 Dec 2018 00:02:23
DOnt understand how he’s not been given a chance, Dias as had 25 chances an done what? 1 goal few assists if any

6.) 17 Dec 2018 09:56:35
If we don't try these players in the first team we will never know how good they are appiah as been one of my favourites coming through and could do a damn site better job than Dias no to letting him go just give him a chance in are first team at minute nothing to lose

7.) 17 Dec 2018 12:53:18
Skegs can’t see the point of selling the lad for six mill now,if forest are serious about getting into the prem this season, weather the lad gets games for us or not this season, his value would triple if we did get there.bad move even thinking about it in my opinion

15 Dec 2018 15:46:21
With no Forest today I decided to go and watch some good quality local semi pro football.
So I headed to South Normanton v Dunkirk in the Midland league.
We complain about referees when we are at city ground but this Midland league clown called the game off 20 minutes before kick off due to a frozen pitch.
Why didn't he inspect at 1.30? It wasn't going to get any warmer was it!

Gazzibaldi

1.) 15 Dec 2018 21:13:54
Well you are wa5ching it at grass roots, 🤣🤣🤣🤣

11 Dec 2018 17:07:19
It's so exciting. Just 21 more sleeps til we get a new goalkeeper.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 11 Dec 2018 21:04:48
But who gazza
Butland ?
Heaton?
Forster?
Darlow ?
Westwood?

2.) 11 Dec 2018 22:09:53
No chance of Butland I think.
I've always liked Heaton.

3.) 11 Dec 2018 22:10:37
All of them till we find who works best lol

4.) 11 Dec 2018 22:17:14
Bet he doesn't bring a goalie in,no matter what the fans or press say about pants.
Just saying

5.) 12 Dec 2018 00:13:44
That could cost him is job 79 I know what your saying about being stubborn but now we have dof he might not have a say in the matter which can only be a good thing 😁

6.) 12 Dec 2018 05:58:39
Krankie will stick with Pants.
I'd be very surprised if he does go for a new keeper.
Like skeg and FF say ak is stubborn.
Pants will cost us even more games if a new keeper isn't brought in.

7.) 12 Dec 2018 08:34:02
We can all see Pantillimons frailties so don't think that AK is too blinkered to see them too. He'll be very well aware of the issue that is Pants and will look to sort it out in Jan. But for now, he's keeping him in the team for continuity. Forster is the man I'd like to see come in.

8.) 12 Dec 2018 15:08:23
You are all talking a load of Pants!

AK is not being stubborn in his selection he is being loyal to the players he has brought in which is essential to bonding and building a team.

You were all moaning at the start of the season about his chopping and changing and now bar injury and suspension he has a settled back 6 which is why we are where we are at the top of the league, keeping clean sheets and only 3 defeats.

He is ruthless in replacing players not performing in the squad where he has better options. Steele was signed as back up because Smith is not experienced enough over the season so he currently has no better keeper options!

It’s clear that there will be some much better goalkeepers available in January compared to last summer so expect our ruthless manager to dispense with some of his earlier signings if he can upgrade on them including getting someone with even bigger Pants between the sticks!

Onward & Upward

9.) 12 Dec 2018 20:03:27
It won't take a lot of doing to upgrade some of his players 😁😁

10 Dec 2018 20:47:52
Due to our central defence problem we ended up with a completely different shape and style.
Because AK still thinks Osborn can play left back, it meant two changes in defence instead of one.
Robinson is the best left back we have had in years so he should play there full stop.
So find someone out of what is a massive squad and get them to play there.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 10 Dec 2018 20:59:25
I wouldn't say we played with a different shape or style, thought it was a usual karanka style 4231.
Only difference was when Murphy came on and then there was a tendency to lump it without quality.
Lacked a leader that's for sure,Benny gives his all,but he's not captain material,

2.) 10 Dec 2018 21:04:47
Our manager has said the team did not play in the style they had been told, more so in the second half, saying we played too many long balls trying to chase the game. That tells me our central defence problem had nothing to do with it.
One of the editors not long ago said a ex player is too thick to take in instructions, maybe we now have a whole team of them, if you believe our manager. 🤔

3.) 10 Dec 2018 21:11:03
Perhaps I should have said 'different dynamic' instead of shape. Yes it was still 4231 but complete uncertainty down our left side. It's not Bens fault Cash had a bit of a bad day and that Dias offers nothing at all but I feel it would have been much better with our very good left back playing where he should be.

4.) 10 Dec 2018 21:26:20
Many a striker has developed into a centre back, so how,s about using Murphy . It sounds and is rediculous but food for thought . Have seen it over the decades and can be successful .

5.) 10 Dec 2018 21:35:05
I know mate but Heff is dodgy and slow and I can't think of any other player we have that could play centre back.
Only other thing he can do is play three at the back and have darikwa and Osborn as wing backs?
Think yacoub could play in a back three?

6.) 11 Dec 2018 07:32:15
I think Colback can play LB if needed.

7.) 11 Dec 2018 08:18:34
The problem is we have a manager who doesn’t learn from his mistakes an even if we had to play an U21 player at left back then so be it, osborn cannot play left back, Dias must have a clause in his contract to say he plays a part in every game

10 Dec 2018 15:02:53
I see that our gk coach is Spanish. Oh dear!
I spent two years as a goalkeeper coach in Spain a few ago.
Catching the ball is completely foreign to them. They have reinforced knuckles sewn into the gloves aiding punching. Honestly. I couldn't believe it when I first saw it.
It's hardly surprising then that our current incumbent is no bloody good. No natural talent and a boxer for a coach.
Ps. Tom Heaton would be my choice.

Gazzibaldi

1.) 10 Dec 2018 16:26:35
Bring back Peter Grummitt.

2.) 10 Dec 2018 17:09:03
Hands van Breukelen?

3.) 10 Dec 2018 17:19:36
Not every coach he has had would have been Spanish, he is just someone who has limited ability, Petr Cech could not make him better.

4.) 10 Dec 2018 17:51:51
"Shilt's" for me!!!

5.) 10 Dec 2018 18:28:45
I have a theory.
If the our goalie coach speaks spanglish and lurch Romanian then maybe what the coach relays means something completely different in Romanian. Either way pants is what he is. Pants.

6.) 11 Dec 2018 10:00:15
Most keepers are now coached to punch these beachballs away as they move about in the air too much. Just stating a fact but it will make no difference as you have your Forest player target firmly in your sights for the feeding frenzy!

If Watson is involved. ie on the bench. That would suggest that Colback, Yacob and Geddy will all be in the team.
I can only assume it means Geddy alongside Hef in defence.
Keeps Robbo at left back so perhaps not a bad idea.
