So there is a chance others outwith of vald, Lica and perquis may leave the club? Any thoughts on who? I reckon Lam could still be dispensed with as could ward . I like ward but I'm not sure warbs is too bothered. I have a feeling we might still cash in on another - Osborn would generate a tidy enough sum.

1.) 23 Jul 2017 20:56:48
I think it will be at least January before we lose anymore star players.

2.) 23 Jul 2017 21:10:59
Not so sure about Ward because he is playing better than ever since the arrival of MW.
Osborne is a definite maybe but you might see an exit of a goalkeeper or two.

3.) 23 Jul 2017 22:45:23
Hope it's not BB. If it has to be one of the young stars I'd sooner see Osborn or cash go before worrall and BB. I think Grear strikers and centre halves are very valuable. I'm not under rating BO and MC but feel sure they'd be easy to replace.

4.) 24 Jul 2017 00:58:41
2star. You say you are not under rating them, but feel sure they would be easy to replace. I hate to see your feelings if you actually were under rating them then.

5.) 24 Jul 2017 06:57:33
I wouldn't mind losing Osbourn for the right price, he hasn't really developed like we expected I don't believe. I know people will point me to the stats of last season but stats aren't everything, he does more wrong than right.

6.) 24 Jul 2017 07:24:35
Easier than worrrel and Brereton it doesn't mean they aren't good players it just means in the hierarchy of preference of who I'd keep they aren't in the top two. I hope no one else goes but suspect they might if the noise about more incomings gets louder.

7.) 24 Jul 2017 09:18:52
2star. According to MW there more incomings, i'm hoping the current incumbents have more nouse than to listen to fans wanting more, and more signings or so called stella signings.

8.) 24 Jul 2017 09:20:41
Lam, Perquis, Luca, Stojkovic all need to go, sooner the better. Keep Ward, he's a good front utility player. If we get the Greek bloke, Bouchaklis. ? Then I reckon a CB and a LB will about sort us out.

9.) 24 Jul 2017 10:45:22
I think Hobbs has been told he can also find another club.

10.) 24 Jul 2017 11:09:23
What does that mean.? Have you seen it somewhere, or it is just what your opinion is. If you have seen it, where?

11.) 24 Jul 2017 22:41:35
I'm in utter disbelief there are people out there who don't see Osborne as one of our best players.

He's far superior technically that a lot of the squad and has such a high football IQ for a young player.

It's no accident that every manager we've had since he broke through has wanted to play him every game.

I think that is perhaps our most important wins this season. Unlikely that we’d draw today and probable that we Wil lose a few over Xmas. Well done good three points and keeps us on course to be well clear of trouble even if the next few games look tough.

03 Dec 2017 10:18:09
Guys, unless we slide towards the drop zone this is how this season will be. Win lose win lose. I’m not sure who we could replace MW with anyway. So here are two questions to each camp:
The believers
1. What is it you see that convinces you this will turn out well?
2. How long are you willing to wait?

The doubters:
1. Do you want him to go because the football isn’t to your liking?
2. Do you want him gone because we will be no where near the top six?

1.) 03 Dec 2017 11:26:30
I am in the doubters category. Was never thrilled by his appointment.
Fate dictated we missed out on Rowett and ended up with Warblurton. It could so easily have been the other way round.
I admire the way He's trying to make us play but it ain't working pure and simple and he won't or Can't change his style.
I'd wait till the end of the season when in all likelihood we'll be in the bottom 6 but safe from relegation then give Clough a try as Burton will probably go down.
I know Clough ain't popular with everybody but we'll end up with him sometime anyway that's for sure so what we got to lose? He can organise a defense at least and make teams hard to beat even with inferior players.

2.) 03 Dec 2017 12:11:15
Reckon "Warbs" will be here until the end of the season. I'm looking no higher than say 10th,we can only improve next season. fingers crossed!!!

3.) 03 Dec 2017 13:14:57
Warbo isn’t to my liking but clough is even less to my t mick McCarthy leaving ipswich at the end of the season,he would be my choice if we can’t get Warnock.with a bit of money that warbo has had he would do a cracking job.

4.) 03 Dec 2017 16:41:56
2star great question. I am in the doubters camp. The lack of grit and versatility reflect the personality of the manager. Yoith is vital to a club but warbs us aking boys to do a mans job in key positions. My feelingscare that warbs is not frontline material more a development or suit man at a club. I would change the manager now, thank him for steadying the ship but a new man needs a month to assess the squad before looking at improvements come the transfer window.
As for who i am not sure who would be available but people kn the vein of warnock. I still like holloway at least he motivates and gels. Roy keane with Gary neville???? I just think it needs a manager who can pick MEN and get them organised and playing with purpose!!!!

5.) 03 Dec 2017 17:24:56
So pleased you are not in charge of management recruitment RR1!

All three have flown over the Cuckoo Nest and need to be kept in a secure ward not given a job at Forest!

6.) 03 Dec 2017 17:42:23
Good maths i named 4 lol. I mentioned in the vein of. Anyway warnock was approached 3 times about the job st forest each time not being selected. We have a way at forest at selecting losers as managers. Warnock the best in this lewgue by a country mile.

27 Nov 2017 06:54:42
I don’t think yesterday should be a leaver to bash the manager or a barometer of where we are or aren’t. We lost to Cardiff who often beat us, we got undone by Warnock who often beats us. We lost to 2nd placed Cardiff managed by Neil Warnock.

Best to just forgot about it and move onto the next game I think.

1.) 27 Nov 2017 08:07:51
It's not bashing time by any means but the differences between a team organised to win promotion and a team indulging in the managers dream of playing fantasy football were obvious yesterday. I'm not comparing us to Man City but the commentator of that game made a very relevant comment. He said that City played the passing game with a real purpose with speed and movement and not just for the sake of it. Until we stop playing this ridiculous passing game for the sake of it where we play the ball more in our own half than the oppositions then mid table mediocrity will always be the best we can achieve regardless of how many gripes we have about opposition time wasting.

2.) 27 Nov 2017 12:53:46
Spot on again syred

Ok everyone I’ve just been on Ed07’s Just giving page and it looks a great cause. So much so I’ve got the ball rolling with a donation from the worlds greatest fans.

After such a fulfilling weekend perhaps there is no better time than now to encourage a little generosity.

Eds Xmas Donation

That was the best 45mims of football for many a year at the CG. Fast, incisive, agile and effective.

1.) 04 Nov 2017 16:16:57
It's poetry in motion.
One dimensional and no plan A or B from our dillusional manager suits me if this is what I have to watch.😂😂😂😂

2.) 04 Nov 2017 17:53:00
Shame I missed it - did we still keep passing backwards and sideways etc. If so I guess I should stop complaining about that !

3.) 04 Nov 2017 19:08:05
No mate not at all we moved the ball forwards loads quicker today. Totally different style of play today.

For sure I think we’ve all agreed that Lichaj has made a big difference. Anyone else think he’s making the whole back for more confident?

I’m gutted traore is injured because lichaj will get moved out of. Position and played at left back which will give MW the perfect excuse to play darikwa followed up by claims that he’s put in a performance that his only been seen through his eyes. Just when we thought we’d seen the back of darikwa !

There was a time when every great team had a spine of Scots in there. I think one or two did a bit in these parts once upon a time

Tone, I was being a bit flippant because some of our fans were quoting crazy figures in the summer about the value of our academy players. Clearly no where near worth that but half useful championship players I’d say mate.

Fair point Doc about stability. However Just 4 months ago Worral, Osborn, cash and brereton were worth a combined 35 Million. Murphy Vaughan, lichaj, mills mancienne, McKay, Carayol, ward and clough, whilst not world beaters are steady for true championship. We have one young Scott who may not make the grade (but it’s early days) not. A team full of them. For all of us who want MW to succeed we can’t have it all ways and blame it on the Calibre of players because I don’t think it stands up. The absolute reality is this team is good enough to be consistent and the owners will without doubt let someone else have a go if we don’t become more consistent by the middle of next season. The team is underperforming but only be a shade, it might come right yet because if we’d had had two more wins I think most would be very happy with our situation. Christmas is key and could see us slip well into the bottom half or grab a couple of wins that keep us in that frustrating near but far bracket.

As I recall creepy we were all made for signing Hobbs and when the transfer looked in doubt most fans were up in arms blaming Fawaz for playing games and scuppering the transfer.
