Trying to ignore the rumours but it looks increasingly like the Union Berlin lad is coming - not what I had in mind I have to be honest in saying that .

Think he’s a massive upgrade on Davis so if he can settle which I’m sure he can as he was at Liverpool. Then SC will get the most out of him!

2.) 20 Jun 2022 16:12:11
Very much in the Keinan Davis mould, you'd of been ok with that 2 star, wouldn't you.

3.) 20 Jun 2022 16:51:09
I think it would be a quality signing. Not sure if they will sign Davis as well, but could be wrong.

4.) 20 Jun 2022 19:06:50
Apologies all, I’d confused this guy with someone else . I’d be excited by this signing, similar to Davis and I don’t blame the club for resisting teams trying to fleece us for players they’d sell someone else for the fraction of the price .

5.) 20 Jun 2022 21:09:55
Hope we sign Davis aswel. Let Grabbon go he won’t feature much.
Awoniyi Davis surridge
Plus gibbs white who can do a job up there.
Need to buy or replace garner. Ox chamberlain £10m.
Spence Williams as wing backs.

6.) 21 Jun 2022 11:31:50
He looks decent and fits our mold, good age. It may mean if we do get him we're in a better position to negotiate for Davis if Copper wants him as well.

7.) 21 Jun 2022 12:34:39
If we sign Neco Williams it will be to play at RWB, we won't get Spence AND Williams.

Ideally we need two LWB and a RWB to compete with Laryea.

RWB: Williams, Laryea
LWB: Lowe, Longelo

I'd be happy with those four. Although seen an ambitious link to Nicolas Tagliafico too.

8.) 21 Jun 2022 15:31:47
Lyrea won't feature going on loan?.

9.) 22 Jun 2022 09:22:52
Yea, strange one that. Thought Laryea would be a decent squad option, covering at RWB and LWB, but wwhat do I know? Cooper obviously has plans.

10.) 22 Jun 2022 10:55:42
I really hope that I will be proven wrong and that he justifies the enormous £17 million price that people are talking about. He's still only 24 but I would advise caution about paying that much for him and I can't help but think that better could be obtained for that kind of money.

He started at Liverpool but never played for the first team. He was farmed out on loan to various medium-sized teams on the continent without achieving anything of note. He then moved to FSV Mainz 05 on loan, where he scored 1 goal in 12 appearances and then on loan to Union Berlin in the season before last, where he scored 5 in 21 appearances. He's had 4 caps for Nigeria.

However he was signed permanently by Union Berlin and in this season that has just finished, he scored 15 out of 31 appearances in the Bundesliga, which is excellent. But the enormous price tag seems to be based solely on this season alone. Lots of players have one good season.

I really genuinely hope that I'm proven wrong but I can't say that I'm overly optimistic about that.

11.) 22 Jun 2022 13:09:44
People like you were pissed off when we signed Davis due to his poor goals to games ratio.

Wrote off Colback and Yates as not being championship level and subsequently destroyed Prem Leicester, Arsenal and then came close to knocking out Liverpool.

Simon34 or Cooper and Klopp? Who is likely to know a good player when they see one?

12.) 22 Jun 2022 19:55:44
@RedCyclist

Apparently I need to point out to you the very obvious fallacy of yours that no one can have a valid opinion on a player unless he is Cooper or Klopp.

Of course Klopp really liked the guy. That's why he didn't pick him for the first team, not even once and not even when work permit issues were settled.

And no I wasn't pissed off about any of those other players because none of them cost £17 million.

The statistics on Awoniyi that I posted can easily be verified by a Google search. I really hope I'm proving wrong but the statistics are there for all to see.

13.) 23 Jun 2022 21:24:52
I didn't say your opinion isn't valid, nobody knows how a signing will pan out. What I said (thought it was clear) was I think Cooper and Klopp are probably more likely to be able to spot a good player than you.

And no, those players didn't cost £17M, and that is likely because - in the opinion of our recruitment team - the new guy is better value than Davis.

Finally, nobody really knows whether it's costing us £17.5M. That is the release clause value, and the papers are assuming we have paid that.

14.) 24 Jun 2022 19:10:58
Relax. It will all come out in the wash. ?.

30 Aug 2021 14:02:13
Apparently da Costa could be off . Another incomprehensible signing .

2star

1.) 30 Aug 2021 15:52:56
Complete waste of £2.5 million, has done absolutely nothing. Shame we won't recoup any of the fee.

2.) 30 Aug 2021 17:54:13
That much? Waste. Not gone yet. Fingers crossed.

3.) 30 Aug 2021 20:52:06
I thought it was 1:5? Surely it wasn’t 2:5? Is cack!

4.) 30 Aug 2021 22:02:09
He wasn't really given a run in the team like the other strikers have, from what I saw off him he put him self about more than taylor and grabban who are lazy and offer nothing up top

24 Oct 2020 15:33:23
Lamouchi wants to sign Grabban and it’s claimed he’s keen on the move.

2star

1.) 24 Oct 2020 18:49:52
A Qatar club wants him, make them cough up big time.

2.) 24 Oct 2020 19:21:29
Sell him get britt back for 4 mill.

3.) 24 Oct 2020 22:47:36
Whats the clubs name get forward?
QUITAR?

4.) 25 Oct 2020 08:30:52
Might be able to replace some of the donkeys with camels if he goes.

5.) 25 Oct 2020 09:47:22
What like Wiltshire want to go to the American top league at twenty eight.

6.) 25 Oct 2020 12:44:16
QUITAR. Very good 🤣.

7.) 25 Oct 2020 20:14:57
Well i did need something to do sutty while i stayed up till 2am to put the clocks back 😁.

23 Sep 2020 20:39:38
One report suggests that lamouchi has targeted the players signed, these are his suggestions.

2star

1.) 23 Sep 2020 22:39:12
Cant see it myself but something has changed.
No mendes kids?
One thing is certain the blame for last seasons capitulation has been laid firmly at the feet of the players.
Think we will see some shock outgoings.

2.) 24 Sep 2020 10:15:41
I have said before, the players leader has spoken about the players brought in in a different way than he usually does, and with the words he used it tells you most, if not all of the players that have come in are his idea.

15 Sep 2020 12:29:33
Just heard derby are signing Ibe and Vydra .

2star

1.) 15 Sep 2020 14:03:11
2 great signings for them. Both quality for this level.
Shame we haven’t looked at either.
If Gibson was still at Burnley I’d have taken Hime and Vydra for Worrall.

2.) 15 Sep 2020 14:19:46
Ibe not so sure. Vydra would be ideal for Forest. Still think Hogan would be good too.

3.) 15 Sep 2020 21:07:56
They've both been there before and they say never go back.
Not sure they are the players they were when last there.
Hope not😁😁.

Rumours circulating now of transfer chaos at the club - just red top rumours, let’s hope it’s not true.

2star

1.) 10 Aug 2022 19:29:34
It's not true and we never made a bid for the Italian left wing back and that's official.

2.) 10 Aug 2022 20:27:07
I’m pleased we didn’t - I’m not sure he’d have been a good fit.

07 Aug 2022 16:58:25
Hard to grasp how Hughton kept Brighton in the premier for two seasons before Potter came in …. how did he do that? Didn’t anyone else turn up!

1.) 07 Aug 2022 19:23:52
Charisma mate
No doubt about that. ?.

07 Aug 2022 13:05:36
Are we getting a shirt sponsor sorted?

2star

1.) 07 Aug 2022 15:03:49
Yes mate their called Forest Till Die!

2.) 07 Aug 2022 16:44:11
That would be my favourite sponsor ever rogie Red, just perfect ??.

06 Aug 2022 16:43:37
Sorry - we are totally out of our depth here.

2star

1.) 06 Aug 2022 17:04:29
I thought we'd have least turned up, it sounded like a training session attack versus defence.

2.) 06 Aug 2022 17:10:34
Didn't see game heard it on radio think I heard johnsons name once no shots on goal and reminded me of listening to a Dougie freedman game what happened to our attacking football.

3.) 06 Aug 2022 17:21:11
Let’s concentrate on some positives . The back 5 and Henderson defensively all played well considering the battering they were receiving . Sadly although Williams played well he is NOT Spence going forward. Toffolu who also played well but also was not forward enough . O ‘ Brien a big plus in midfield positive and moved the ball forward . Colback was my MofM. Sturridge did well considering a lack of service and sadly Johnson ineffective .

4.) 06 Aug 2022 17:22:58
2star I agree.
Hopefully the new player's are not dud's?

31 Jul 2022 12:58:39
My team to start at St James Park

Henderson

Worrall
Niakhate
McKenna

Williams
Yates
Mangala
Colback

Lingard
Johnson

Awoniyi.

Subs Hennessy Biancone Cook Surridge, Toffolo, O Brien.

2star

1.) 31 Jul 2022 14:02:37
Yates is injured.

It's amazing that we have spent £100M (if you include wages) but the Midfielder Colback is being considered an option at LWB.

2.) 31 Jul 2022 14:13:02
Who plays at left back? Surely not Jack? Toffolo did a good job on Djen Spence at Wembley.

3.) 31 Jul 2022 14:21:06
Yeah I think colback is as good there as Toffolo.

4.) 31 Jul 2022 14:24:15
Only due to The player signed from Bayern being injured cyclist, I think Toffolo was signed as back up to him and kit to be first choice .

5.) 31 Jul 2022 15:18:57
Oh, not slagging off the choice of Colback, more an observation about the club spending a lot of money and still seeming like we don't have enough at LWB.

Unless we sign another midfielder with Prem experienced, I'd find a way to put Colback in the side for the first game. Ex-Newcastle player (bound to score) and an intimidating ground to play at for players who haven't experienced it. Especially in the first game, we need the experience IMO.

And we all know from experience how well players do going back to their old club with a point to prove. Colback in! Over to you Cooper.

6.) 31 Jul 2022 15:26:57
Are we still missing Osbourne? HAHA!

7.) 31 Jul 2022 16:38:46
Got it mate?.

I’d love Bale and we definitely need experience up front, he’d be great with the lads we’ve already got . We need a front three with goals in them so we’re not relying on a striker to get twenty (tough ask in the prem), it’s a pipe dream but He’d be fantastic in our team.

Doc, valid points but there won’t be any tears from me mate, the premier league will be a struggle and would be no matter what, my Euphoria in May wasn’t about us getting to where belong it was creating a memory from an impossible journey . Just enjoy the memory of what we achieve rather than worrying about what might happen . We’re favs for relegation and if that happens it doesn’t change the memory of last season and we’ll be ultra competitive in the championship.
