Tyler walker has gone to Bolton on loan.

Read it here - We want Paul Heckinbottom in charge for the Arsenal game. All over the media.

Jake70

1.) 04 Jan 2018 10:32:00
Hope this is true but I'd have thought the owners would want someone with more influence in the foreign market EG. Karanka and Garcia.

2.) 04 Jan 2018 10:59:42
Barnsley are no better off than us. Sure he is rated there and I don't know his budget. They have sold a few in the last year too I spose. Maybe he would be ok. Kind of talking myself into it.

3.) 04 Jan 2018 12:10:06
Lol, it's what we all do Redfin.👍

4.) 04 Jan 2018 12:13:30
Karainka still favourite though.

5.) 04 Jan 2018 12:56:33
I am sure we talked about a young manger at an average club when Pearce or Freedman was appointed. Never happened as board didn’t think was big enough name and sections of fans moaned about ‘who are they’ or ‘what have they done’ but Eddie Howe and Sean Dyche done ok.
I would take a risk on Heckingbottom, decent young manager who has done well at Barnsley, plays attacking football and works well on budget, works well with youth and picks up some bargains in transfer window and still growing. For me would be a good choice and in reality more exciting than most other names though I would be fine with any of top three that bookies are backing at the moment (Karanka, Garcia and Heckingbottom)

6.) 04 Jan 2018 14:04:41
Better than Karanka. Karanka's football will bore the sh*t out of us! At least Heckie likes to play proper football.

Apparently he refused to rule himself out of the role today.

7.) 04 Jan 2018 14:55:59
Boring and successful or tippy tappy with no success?

8.) 04 Jan 2018 18:04:55
Personally i wouldn’t want Paul Heckingbottom. He has no experience is a club who has a real ambition to get promotion and no experience with a club where there is pressure on every game to win by the fans. O’Neil or karanka would be best

9.) 04 Jan 2018 18:22:17
O'Neil for me. But as he even been approached

10.) 04 Jan 2018 18:34:33
Which O'Neil, there is a lot of them.😁

11.) 04 Jan 2018 22:57:05
Bit worried about Heckingbottom's ability and reputation. He got Barnsley out of League 1 via play offs after finishing 6th and taking over from Lee Johnson in the Feb and only took charge for 15 games until the play offs.

Yes he has done well on a budget but then Barnsley have a history of managers who get short term success and move on usually to disappear out of sight into the lower leagues.

He has no backroom staff who are going to attract better players, so unless we are going for a long term D of F to co-ordinate transfers and academy then we will struggle unless this guy is a genius?

12.) 04 Jan 2018 23:43:28
Think I'd rule genius out.

31 Dec 2017 14:19:43
I would take Paul Hart as Director of football but not as the Manager. People never do well coming back. For me Gary Monk, Billy back or Dougie. What abouit Paul Hegginbottom?

Jake70

1.) 31 Dec 2017 15:36:33
Would love to see DF back. Doubt he would come from role as sporting director at Crystal Palace

2.) 31 Dec 2017 16:03:11
Personally I think he'll be foreign and the same with the dof.

3.) 31 Dec 2017 16:26:41
Jake, you say people never do well coming back but you want Billy or Dougie?

4.) 31 Dec 2017 17:11:46
If Karanka is available I'd have him. Did well at Middlesbrough.
No ex players please

5.) 31 Dec 2017 18:01:33
Why some fans still mentioned Billy 'bullsh!t' Davies is beyond me. There's a reason no club other than Forest has had the poisoned Scottish dwarf as manager in the past 8 years or so. It's because he's a lying snake.

31 Dec 2017 10:01:08
Warburton and McParland has been sacked, read it here.

Jake70

1.) 31 Dec 2017 10:31:12
I suspect we will have a foreign coach and some dodgy foreign players in by the middle of next week looking forward to montanier eske debacle until the end of the season

29 Dec 2017 18:12:08
Do we have a recall for Jorge Grant? A midfield player and not a striker and he scored 13 goals this season plus 5 assists. Surely he would be good for the 18, even if only on the bench?

Jake70

1.) 29 Dec 2017 19:48:58
League 2 is miles below the standard of The Championship. If I’m brutally honest, I think Jorge will find himself as a good player at League 1 for much of his career.

Pretty sure I remember reading MW was keen to keep him at Notts County until the end of the season.

2.) 29 Dec 2017 20:19:54
The youngsters are sent out to toughen up and make a mark as well as get first team experience. Championship football is very different and much harder than most people think - more injuries, more pressure. Yates, Grant, etc. will come back better but still not the complete article.

3.) 29 Dec 2017 20:46:46
It’s a lot of goals for midfielder in any league isn’t it.

4.) 29 Dec 2017 21:15:48
He could come back, sit and hold hands with Zac Clough on the bench.

5.) 29 Dec 2017 21:32:11
Think he's part of the work in progress pal

6.) 29 Dec 2017 22:14:56
Having watched ,Brid.and Bouch play as defensive M/F I think Lam would possibly be doing a better job ,very energetic can tackle gives his lot,I hear he was very upset to be shunted out ,lots of experiance for a young man plus lots of caps to his credit and probably on less cash than the two I, v mentioned.
CARLO

7.) 30 Dec 2017 09:25:06
Carlo

Three managers froze him out, there has to be a problem with him somehow.

8.) 30 Dec 2017 09:44:20
I thought Lam showed more promise as an AM. Looked good coming forward, got a good pass on him and scores goals. Certainly wouldn't dismiss him.

9.) 30 Dec 2017 10:42:12
I,ve got more problems with the three managers than the player ,big question marks against all three,s ability to manage at championship level Don,t you think?
CARLO

10.) 30 Dec 2017 11:36:38
Carlo

Phillipe Montanier although no Championship experience did have some success in other countries, so was not a novice, or a bad manager.

Gary Brazil was off course just a stop gap as a manager, i did not think for one minute he had a career as a first team manager.

Warburton is by no means a manager with a proven record of success, but he got Brentford to the play offs on a smallish budget.

What you have to think about is Lam is the type of player both Montanier, and Warburton look for, as in a player that looks to get forward and can pick a pass, as you say but he had no Championship experience, and was easily brushed off the ball.

11.) 30 Dec 2017 19:13:21
Come ,come PM was absolute garbage ,Brazil two goes at it dreadful each time ,Warbo ,say no more and did you Brouch today ,Lam does get about the pitch but like Vellios MW not given him one chance ,his teams picked on personal likes not ability .
CARLO

Anyone know why the Forest Lotto is finsihing, the 17th March 2018 I believe?

Jake70

1.) 16 Mar 2018 15:06:37
I was going to join it some time ago, but the new Club Website stopped publicising it, among many other things. If anything needed re configuring so it is more fan friendly it is that website. I shall go for the postcode lotto instead.

2.) 17 Mar 2018 11:35:56
I think you will find that Fantasy Fawaz kept pulling the winning tickets? Haha

01 Mar 2018 08:17:02
I cannot for the life of me see how anyone can defend Warburton. The goals against in is tenure this season must be the worst in the club's history. He is history.

Jake70

21 Feb 2018 15:39:44
Talk of Karanka out is a joke. A new manager would be able to nothing, no loan playes in. The Window is shut. Only players available are free agents and there are not many of thnem about. I cannot see him being sacked. He knew straight away that the defence was a problem and he has done his best to sort it. To be honest I am pleasaed with he last 2 draws, we are not coceding as many as under the breadman.

Jake70

1.) 21 Feb 2018 18:31:22
Totally agree but can also understand the frustrations at the moment may be not the booing but again people pay gud money to support forest so are entitled to their opinions. I think we will be ok and AK can be a half decent manager but my frustrations come from just being woeful season after season new man out new man out, umpteen loan players sum of whom I forgot even played for us. In fact it's been such a long-time since we been In the prem it would be a massive shock and rebuilding process. Gone are the days of Roy, Collymore and co, best forest team in a long time, best side to watch on sky too.

17 Feb 2018 17:29:48
I think this was an important result. We have stopped the rot. The league table looks a lot better tonight. Stay unchanged for the next game apart from Eric.

Jake70

1.) 17 Feb 2018 20:58:31
Can we have a more considered view of the first 28 minutes as it sounded like with 11 we were creating chances and supporting the lone striker? Surely clues as to where the goal rush will come from?

10 Feb 2018 17:40:05
No fight, no passion, no commitment, no pride. 2 nil down and they could not care less. Oh for days of the players of former days who would walk through fire for the club - McKinlay, Eddie Bailey, Jeff Whitefoot, Jack Burkitt, Doug Lishman, Dick Le Flem, Peter Grummitt, Winfield, Hindley, Wignall, Joe Baker, Newton, Storey-Moore and one of the best players I have ever seen in a Forest shirt - Terry Hennessey. There are many more. This current bunch are not fit to tie the laces of these guys.

Keane maybe O'Neills assist with Ireland, however he is a Manager in his own right, cannot see him being an assistant at Forest. They both have well paid cushy jobs with Ireland and cannot see either of them coming to Forest. The Greek is not going to pay compensdation for them to come to Forest.

Bezman We do not want beautiful football at the moment. We need results and clean sheets, it is not as though we are unlucky and loosing One Nil. We are loosing at home and leaking too many goals. How many losses do there have to be before the owners sack the manager ? Not many more I am afraid. Another loss tomorrow and MW will be gone.

Redfin If we loose the next 2 games we will be in a relegation scrap, we are virtually in one now. I would think we will have a foreign manger next time, no doubt all ready being lined up.

I agree Warnock was right on thios occasion, the match should not have been cancelled. I understand the snow was piled up so a photograph could be taken. I live in Derbyshire and travelled to Milton Keynes on Sunday morning all the roads were clear even the minor ones.

Brazil does not want the job. Karanka lost I think the first 6 games when he joined Middlesborough. He has made some brave decisions. He was undfer instruction from the Greek owners to turn it upside down. Give him a chance.

We do not want Dawson or anyone else like him looking for a fat paypacket to finish their careers. We have had too many of them in the past. There must be some good young centre halfs in Division 1 or 2.

Shackell is 34 and hardly featuring for Derby this season and one of the many players they are trying to get off the wage bill.It looks as though he may be going to Milwall on loan. Many fans thought the club paid far too much to bring him back from Burnley, for a player past his best and over 30. I do not think he is for us.
