I don't believe a man of our owners stature would allow a couple of players not guaranteed to have futures in the team, whoever the manager is, to undermine his chosen Manager. My theory is that MON would not toe the line. Choice of players leaving, coming etc. Would also explain Roy K leaving as he hasn't walked into a role yet. The new manager is connected to the big agent man and did well to negotiate and sign a contract within 20 mins of the sacking. can't wait for the new season. COYR!

redsfanstan

1.) 01 Jul 2019 06:21:01
I read somewhere Roy K left when he did so it would not interrupt Pre-season or even the start of the season. I'm probably wrong here but i'll bet you'll find Roy K will have a job sooner rather than later.

2.) 01 Jul 2019 09:47:22
If towing the line means doing what the owner wants, the implication is that the owner not the manager knows what is best for the team and the club. In my opinion the owner needs to let the manager manage and support him above the players and their petty little squabbles and views. Marinakis is no better than Al Hasawi, and we'll end up in exactly the same place again.

3.) 01 Jul 2019 11:03:52
Increasingly I fear you may be right bsered.

4.) 01 Jul 2019 13:02:08
Bezman, RK's departure was stage managed imo. Unless it's tv work, I see no job offers in football.

5.) 01 Jul 2019 15:25:56
Scouseduckred, Do you know that for a fact? Whatever is written in the press should be taken with a pinch of salt until its unveiled but i'm pretty sure he wants to get back into management (and no i'm don't know for certain) at least that's what RK has said in the past.

6.) 01 Jul 2019 17:57:06
What if RK was offered the opportunity to replace MON? If he was then perhaps that's why he, understandably, chose to exit stage left and Mendes came up with Lamouchi.

11.) 16 Jan 2019 20:51:25
You had to take a swipe onetwotree!

12.) 16 Jan 2019 20:52:33

You mean bullshido 😂

01 Feb 2018 20:55:02
Osbourne for left back?

redsfanstan

1.) 01 Feb 2018 21:50:55
No we have a Col Back!

2.) 01 Feb 2018 22:41:53
Yes they can both play left back and midfield which may explain no lb signing plus fox.osbourne spoke earlier about enjoying left back. Just asking.

3.) 02 Feb 2018 10:00:36
Article I read said AK may be in for free agent Garrido for left back.

02 Aug 2016 16:18:25
Swansea to sign Oliveira. Better offer?

redsfanstan

1.) 02 Aug 2016 19:24:04
Nope. Better team!

2.) 02 Aug 2016 21:44:07
Traora out injured for sat that's a good start!

3.) 02 Aug 2016 22:33:39
Oh come on Bondster, lazy fan (or not) posting. read the site, he's not fit! Never was available for Saturday.

4.) 03 Aug 2016 12:50:36
Have a bad feeling about traore. He could be another fryatt.

5.) 03 Aug 2016 13:36:05
good positive thinking again!

6.) 03 Aug 2016 14:49:57
Kasami has signed one year loan his contract is expiring at the end of next season so maybe if all goes well permanent on a free next summer COYR.

7.) 03 Aug 2016 15:00:40
We have enough crocks already wonder if he's on pay as you play contract!

18 May 2016 17:28:57
Worrying news Mr Warnock and his team have left Rotherham.

redsfanstan

1.) 18 May 2016 19:27:41
It will get even more worrying if the Greek investment falls through and Fawaz gets to pick the next manager.

2.) 18 May 2016 20:14:45
The problem is not who the owner picks, the problem is the owner likes to question the managers reasons for team selection.

3.) 18 May 2016 20:38:28
And how can you say that?

4.) 18 May 2016 21:02:48
It's not going to Warnock, considering who else is available!

5.) 18 May 2016 22:15:31
Just because there's a lot of good managers around at the moment without clubs, it doesn't mean that any of them are available to us, considering where we are and who our owner is!

6.) 18 May 2016 23:55:59
No need to worry as the managergoround is spinning faster.

Liverpool have bombed and had their worst season in years so Klopp will be available by the time we get sorted with a new owner!

7.) 19 May 2016 18:27:02
Uptheforest

Unless Warnock is a liar, that is why he turned us down one time.

Mir has signed seaon long loan deal.

redsfanstan

1.) 30 Jul 2019 11:54:41
Sounds like a Mendes fix. Hope the loan is a cheap one. Can't see him being any form of competition to Grabone, we needed someone of stature; if Bonatini was the precedent it doesn't bode well.

2.) 30 Jul 2019 14:14:14
Let's give him a chance. He hasn't even kicked a ball yet.

3.) 30 Jul 2019 16:03:39
Gr I doubt Wolves rate him if they have allowed a £2.5m option to buy. There being a Premier league team would at least quadruple that.

4.) 30 Jul 2019 16:31:40
Why would his value increase 4 times just because wolves are in the prem? This isn't football manager. They'd still be making a profit on him at 2.5m.

5.) 30 Jul 2019 16:39:35
It is a estimate, once you sign for a Premier league team surely your value goes up, how many Premier league players would you think would go for £2.5m.

6.) 31 Jul 2019 06:16:57
He is not a premier league player though is he, never played in prem. would think we would get him for price they paid bout 1.5 - 1.7m but if he does well for us price might go up!

28 Jul 2019 11:51:19
Sell Geddy buy colback and Assombolonga.

redsfanstan

1.) 28 Jul 2019 12:14:11
We are going to get a lot of money for Geddy then.

2.) 28 Jul 2019 13:24:56
The most we will ever get for a medal winning star of the competituon. plus saving on wages. He wants out let him out. We still need a right back. he's looking at centre halves because ours aren't currently good enough. And we need a goal scorer. This a chance for our owner to continue with his special plans.

3.) 29 Jul 2019 09:10:28
Isn't Ribeiro a right back?

4.) 29 Jul 2019 13:51:40
Yuri Ribeiro is a left-back.

21 Jul 2019 21:27:19
I used to like being able to give a thumbs down on here occasionally. It looks as though we all agree with everything we say. Unless we just don't get one thumb.!

redsfanstan

{Ed033's Note - You can still reply with the words, thumbs down.

1.) 21 Jul 2019 22:56:42
👎🤔🤣.

2.) 21 Jul 2019 23:17:17
Do agree to a point ,but when it came to something sensitive, people took the pee, would be good bring thumbs down back with an undecided hands stable selection. Don't all jump on my back only saying 😊.

{Ed033's Note - 👎 Thumbs down 😀

3.) 22 Jul 2019 10:39:59
Difficult to show disagreement without a thumbs down - essence of real debate. Only thing you can do is start another comment section with a different view.

{Ed001's Note - the essence of real debate is to make your point, not to simply disagree with the other view.}

4.) 22 Jul 2019 13:03:04
I've noticed a lot of newbies or fans that only come on every now and again are starting comments more so can only be a good thing instead of ticking boxes 😁.

5.) 22 Jul 2019 14:19:31
I'm in complete agreement skeggs some people were getting put off from posting by the thumbs downs.
It is banter and a point of view if we all thought the same and agreed on everything life would be boring and the edds would be out of a job.

6.) 22 Jul 2019 17:13:45
Harmony at Last😲🤣.

7.) 22 Jul 2019 17:47:09
Ed001: is this a 5 minute argument or the full half-hour?

{Ed001's Note - whichever one you say I am saying the other one... ;-)

8.) 22 Jul 2019 22:52:38
Definition of devils advocate!

10 Jul 2019 22:57:15
Right back. To have let Janko go there must have been somethink in the bag? Any ideas?

redsfanstan

1.) 10 Jul 2019 23:06:19
As far as janko goes yes he was a bag of peanuts, lazy footballer who has been passed about for a reason - bad attitude.

2.) 11 Jul 2019 08:48:11
He was a loanee. we didn't let him go, Porto did.

3.) 11 Jul 2019 10:11:13
Agreed Ff. Lazy. So much potential wasted.

01 Jun 2019 21:58:00
How about signing a player who has scored 31 goals in 61 appearances and whose manager doesn't play him much. Yes its Brit Assombolonga. If reports say Sheff Utd want him but won't pay what we got for him then maybe its worth a punt. Just saying he scores goals and a few more this year would have helped.

redsfanstan

1.) 01 Jun 2019 22:57:43
It’ll be the wages now Stan. Sheff U can offer prem wages now mate.

2.) 01 Jun 2019 23:03:58
Two things,we can't afford his wages and and you should never go back.

3.) 02 Jun 2019 00:09:53
Really? You and most on this forum are always looking back! 😱😏🤔🙃🤣

4.) 02 Jun 2019 01:13:17
2 Star you are right. I don't think its looking back to sign a player wanted by Premier league club and our competition and some one we know can score and who knows us. Also I enjoy looking back at our successes been there done that worn the tshirt as any thing new is a bonus and a bit less stressfull.

5.) 02 Jun 2019 06:27:40
Off course you never refer to a certain manager, and what could have been, not🤐

6.) 02 Jun 2019 12:34:10
Stan, I watched assombalonga closely when we played boro at home. He would work very well in O Neil’s style of play in my opinion. He didn’t do much that day but I’d very strong at holding up the ball and would be great and bringing players like carvalho into play.

7.) 02 Jun 2019 22:48:12
LC Only refer back when you and others bring it up first. If you check my posts once my man had gone I moved on but I cannot be responsible for all Forest baggage of the past?

That's why I am in exile out of the local goldfish bowl on the outside looking in rather than being consumed by the weekly feeding frenzy! 😉😜

8.) 03 Jun 2019 07:12:10
I think you need to learn to read red.
I said you should never go back, meaning players should not be bought back, they are never as good the second time around.
Looking back is a different meaning and I never mentioned it.🤔

Looking at Sow on youtube i think its a great signing. Tackles and defends like Kenny Burns runs end to end like colin bell great attacking psssing. He will need to watch for the cards but we need a bit of clout. Still need a right back option and one more goal scorer and we have a chance.

Bostock has a defence splitting left foot takes great free kicks and penalties and is a strong tackler. i would sell geddy probably at his premium value at this moment but we still need a central forwad and a right back. still.

I sat with my Dad in A block AM10 and AM11 for about twenty years behind a bloke who whinged and whinged and criticised the team. He stopped coming and then we won everything. We don't need supporters who whinge. let's be positive. We have to make the best of what we have and support the eleven picked for the team. Oh yes and keep fingers crossed and hope for the best.
