Reds, I have it on very good authority (my friend works at Watford FC) that Lewis McGugan is on his way back, would make sense after there promotion, his loan to Sheff Wed plus his comments in interview a few weeks ago. you heard it here first!

He moved to Watford for more money than he was on with us although at the time we did not seem to make an effort to keep him. I find it hard to believe he will not want more than the £10,000 we will be offering. Personally he has had his time and chance with us. Too inconsistent for my liking. Is he a free transfer then ? If he is still under contract for say another year I am sure he will have a figure in his contract for a large increase for being in the Premiership.

I wouldn't want McGugan back personally. He only performs for a few games and then goes off the boil. He didn't end up being good enough for Watford and look how they suddenly soared to promotion without him after he went out on loan.

I agree for what its worth, however we do need game changers! with Reidy being absent for best part of two seasons, would he have had game time with us this year, yes is the answer.

And would we of finished any higher with him in the team?the answer would be no as he isn't one for getting stuck in and playing for the team.hes a lazy luxury player that thinks he's better than he is.dont get me wrong he has flashes of brilliantz but in a full season he's average.hes attitude with us last time was poor.

We already have a penalty taker and plenty who can shoot on sight and take free kicks, so what exactly does he offer the team?
Oh yes lots of goals conceded as our defenders get exposed by lack of midfield discipline and a sulk because the Number 10 shirt is already booked out.
He should go to the NFL and just come on to kick field goals?

Reid has been an excellent servant to this club and deserves some respect. I hope to see him back playing for us - he's an asset at this level and could still do a job in the lower half of the Premier League in my opinion. Get well soon Andy.

In the broad sheets today that Forest are in trouble over FFP and may jeapordise our promotion, would ignore if in the trash comics but not a reputable paper. Worried Reddog
1.) See the report in the NP today by Tails probably explains better and I expect that half the clubs in the Championship are going to be in same position.
2.) I would think if half of the clubs are in the same boat it isn't working and there will have to be a re think on the situation
3.) Why are you worried?the fa will see that we have drastically reduced the way we have been run and will take that on board. we all knew we would more than likely have an embargo in January because of how much it costs day to day to run the club. don't get too worried until the accounts get produced in December then we can see where we are. faulkner knows what he's doing
4.) It is being reported that three Championship clubs are in the same boat.
I think we're still in a hangover period from last year when Fawaz was trying to do everything himself, including some horrendous signings. It seems we're back on the right road with a new CEO and a better wage bill, so hopefully this should all be history sooner rather than later.
Worst case scenario is that if we exceed an £8m loss when the accounts are filed in November we might be hit with a fine or with an embargo. That might harm us a little in the short term but as I say, we look to be on the right road now.
5.) Blame the previous money grabbing manager.
6.) If we get hit with a fine Fawaz will probably ask how they want it paying cash or cheque.
7.) I think it's also key that what we file this year (so far) shows a marked improvement over last year and we demonstrate we are trying to adhere to it. That way the sanctions imposed may be less severe.

8.) I understand that if there is a transfer embargo that we will still be able to bring players in on a one in one out basis. Although not ideal if we can offload the likes of Abdoun (possibly the highest earner in the club) and a couple of others that aren't making it into the first team, Forest will still be able to build/add for the final push in the new year.
Although an embargo isn't ideal the club will find a way to bring players in i'm sure.

Forest needn't worry about promotion, FFP on not. No win in 9 games is hardly tantamount to getting into the Premiership. Come on Mr Pearce, get angry, they don't want to see you when your angry.

We have only spent 1.4 mill on players with the sales of others so must more about how the club is being run or something we don't know about, why hasn't abdoun been at least transfer listed, and i know i don't know the ins and outs of the rules but if Fawaz is our sponsor can't he just sponsor forest more money to balance the books :) ?

Ed, was at a charity event last night, speaking to a guy who seemed to be pretty sure (his son plays for the academy) that we are in talks with bobby Zamora. Would be a great signing in my opinion at this level if fit!

1.) Lol, Derby would love that, especially if he puts a few past them when we meet!
2.) Cannot see SP wanting Zamora. He will be wanting to sign younger, hungrier players.

5.) I think he would drop down and would be an ok signing. But I can't see it happening with Hendo and Veldwijk on the books. We have people in the squad that already do the role he would play for us.

So Samaras is a done deal I've just been told! Announced in the next few days before he goes on holiday.
1.) Hope not, but if he dons the garibaldi he will have my support.
2.) We want hungry players not a lazy st that's played in a terrible league. Definitely not!
3.) Hope this isn`t true, we shouldn`t be wanting players like him, seen enough of him to know we should be looking at younger strikers than Samaras.
4.) Silks. Just because a player runs a lot does not make them a better player than someone who doesn't. Note cox and makie will run all day long but don't score. If we get samy and he hardly runs but the runs he does ends in goals then I'm happy. He also has a good touch and can bring the runners from mid into play.
5.) We need a striker not another fine greek mezzi and Eurovision winner!
Having said that as we always sign a big lump number 9 then he is better than Dele and Hendo at this level although his goal stats are average
6.) Gary hooper looked like Alan shearer in Scottish football it's on a par with league 1 I really hope it's not true

Nothing official from either club, which makes me believe the deal is not signed? last minute counter bid? Ed do you know anything?

1.) I would have thought that other clubs interested in signing Lascelles and Darlow, having seen the price they were going to Newcastle for, would put in counter bids.
2.) Have SP and Fawaz been clever enough to push their valuations up this way? I doubt it. playing a risky game.

don't want to be controversial, but having watched him play he never gave the ball away, was tidy in possession and I liked what he tried to do. we need players. BUT attitude stinks apparently and we don't want that in the club
