Sabri put his trust in his players and we were narrowly beaten. Some players relish the pressure and thrive on it some fold under it. In hindsight would he choose the same team no I doubt it. 3 points lost but we hopefully learned from what was a massive gamble and move on. We are still up there and can still make it to the Premiership, put it behind us and go again.

Agreed, we need to move on and be positive, but you can't expect to change half your out field players and not expect a big deterioration in performance. These guys clearly showed no understanding of playing together, nothing clicked.
I think everyone saw it coming when they saw the team sheet except Lamouchi.
He has done an absolutely fantastic job this season but this seems a lesson he still isn't learning from.
Maybe sending a message upstairs? Maybe just a bad night? whatever it was this is a missed opportunity.

Its not the first time. And why make such an elementary error at this crucial stage of the season. The players who battled so valiantly against Leeds etc will not be happy to see their efforts wiped out by a piss poor shambles lastnight. Instead of going into the Albion game bouyed a point or three, its roll your sleeves up and try and regroup agajnst a rampant powerfull wba.

Agree Rutland - it’s not the first time this has happened. You’ve got to learn from your mistakes and it certainly looks like we haven’t-such a shame not to have picked up 3 points and really put the pressure on but we are still in a good position and bring on the baggies!

Another 3 points on the board. Hopefully we go on and make it 3 back to back wins on Friday. A performance the same as against Swansea but put the chances away. I also would like to see Lyle Taylor get a start now we are creating a few more chances, he looks sharp to me when he comes on.

Beserker, I’d still start with Murray bit more guile and cunning in his play . I agree that Taylor looked lively last night but he needs to score some goals, I can’t knock his commitment thought .
I think it’s more possible to get 6/ 7 points in March. That will see us home in my opinion as we will amass the remainder required in April.

I really don't get this stuff about style and type of football. Murrays goal came from a 70 yard punt and ended with a delighfull lob. Football may have moved on as far as technique goes but the aim is to score goals and try not to concede. 3 or 4 times yesyerday we broke with concise accurate defence splitting passes. Great to watch. All this posession stuff and passing it along the back four is torturous to watch. A think wenger was the instigator of that. Nowt wrong with a punt to a big strike with a no10 to knock down to and midfield pushing up for the second ball. It can be very effective. Tye negstive for me yesterday was i could tell when we were in an advanced position that we would end up passing the ball back to our keeper and causing a serious threat to ourselves. Why do we do that? The keeper is going to lump it so why not lump from the advanced position.
Anyway some great variations to play football posession in your own half ain't it.

Thats what we do we pass it from defender to defender.
Murrays furst goal came from bong gping backwards passing to defenders who gave it him back so he passed it back to samba who gave it straight back to him.
Big punt up to murray who used his experience with a little nudge turned knew he doesn't have the pace and lobbed the keeper great finish.
We pass it all day long across the back four and samba takes his time with every pass so not sure where your coming from?

rutland red i think it was Liverpool that initiated it.
I too do not like pedestrian paced passing the ball to every player on the team before even thinking about taking a shot.
Nor do i like every ball being lumped up from defence straight to the other teams final third.
It is all about balance, the intention of the team in a ideal world should be to have the players looking to pass the ball quickly to a player in front of him and if there is not a player with enough space to pass to for a player to run with the ball.
Pass and move with pace to stretch the other team and forcing the other team into making mistakes.

We went 2 1 up against Coventry and passed it backwards sideways and anyway but forwards.
Can't see any difference other than warbo had no money and had assombalonga sold behind his back.

He could thrive under Lamouchis coaching. Just because the lad hasn’t really set the world alight at other clubs doesn’t mean he will fail at Forest. He definitely has great potential and let’s hope if he joins he has the right attitude and mindset to let Sabri help him for fill it.

Mighten is being developed, nice and slowly. I would think Hughton has spoken to him and explained his plan for him. Mighten is no doubt a talent and will hopefully go on to hold down a regular place in the team. Hughton knows how to man manage a player and has years of experience doing so.
