Apparently there is an add on to the Burke deal if he does well in at red bull lipstick or whatever they are called and plays 100 games we get an extra £4 million (17 mill in total)

Redtab

1.) 04 Sep 2016 17:03:24
He won't smell a hundred games ( or 3 seasons) . He'll be gone to a bigger club before then for at least double what they paid.

2.) 04 Sep 2016 17:14:07
I really think Fawaz would have said if that's the case, don't really see why he would not have been honest in the interview he gave if the press now the fans will now.

3.) 04 Sep 2016 20:55:16
Let it go people. We need to move on from Burke. Let's get get behind the new lads no matter what they cost or didn't costs.

4.) 04 Sep 2016 21:21:42
Longest red. The owner be honest?!?! He doesn't know the meaning of the word! Get real he is a liar!

5.) 04 Sep 2016 22:51:56
£13million for what I've just watched is robbing them blind.

6.) 05 Sep 2016 18:43:00
Northnottsred. Have you heard of the laws on libel and defamation? You should be very careful.

In the EP it says that both Halford and Collins have been told they can find a new club. It is as if SP has been monitoring this site as he is so on the ball with us on who is needed, only Harding and I think that is everyone that has been mentioned
COYR

Redtab

1.) I think he'll keep Harding, decent backup and probably a low earner. (and not injury prone? Could be wrong)

If he does, it'll be the right decision IMO. I can't be bothered to list all my reasons why but I'm sure that most people can probably see why it would make sense.

2.) Will be glad to see Collins go, such a weak link when he played. Never knew what to do with the ball at his feet.

{Ed034's Note - I think the level of negativity aimed at him is unfair. not our strongest centre back but did a steady job when asked to

3.) Mmmm maybe a few more coming in then? especially if Lansbury goes? SP interview on Sky, he seems happy now the money being re invested on the 2 players yesterday! the calm after the storm! All is good again on the good ship Forest!

4.) Ed, I agree with you. I don't think we should hang on to him nor was he the greatest CB ever, but he was pretty steady. Is he likely to be let go or will we see some cash?

{Ed034's Note - exactly. the guy was playing last season with a make shift midfield in front of him. no he didn't play well, but nobody did and I don't think he deserved the stick alone

5.) I would rather have Collins and Halford in front of Harding, I hope Harding doesn't read this site.
SP knows far more than us though, especially at LB and if he chooses that we keep him, there must be a glimmer of potential - I just can't see it.

6.) I think Harding will play number 2 at left back next season behind Fox, I have a sneaky suspicion SP plans to play Cohen in midfield where for me he is at his best!

{Ed034's Note - pearce has said in an interview about cohen and being a left back. don't get me wrong, he'll play midfield at some point, but if we have a fully fit midfield, it sounds like left back is his positions

7.) 07 Aug 2014 15:32:22
He probably did get a lot of criticism, but for me he isn't steady enough to give you confidence at the back. Just need the likes of Hobbs & Wilson to be fit!

8.) Let Harding go why do we need to keep him got Cohen fox and licha who can also cover lb if hunt nails down rb position. Just need to keep Lansbury and sign another cm and were done unless we offered someone like Zaha

9.) 07 Aug 2014 16:25:04
What's wrong with Harding he's good enough as a no. 2 left back

10.) I still remember when Harding came in and everyone was overjoyed just that we'd finally signed an actual left back. Now he's possibly 3rd choice and people want him out. no matter what beefs people have with Fawaz no-one can deny we haven't progressed under his leadership!

11.) Harding is a poor player! He is the worst player at the club! Absolutely no idea! I would rather keep Halford! More effort & commitment! How he become a professional footballer I will never know! We sit I'm the lower BC & see it close to!

12.) 07 Aug 2014 17:31:05
Collins, Cox and Halford were for me our most inconsistent players last season. Yes I know Cox ran his socks off but as I have said before on the OS site, running your socks off does not won you games; getting more goals than the opposition does. Halford totally lost his way for me, and towards the end off at season put in some awful displays. But Captain Calamity - as I was calling Collins - was so far off the mark in some games you'd have thought he had never played a game before. Yes, he put in some last-ditch saving tackles, but then he'd go and spoil it at some point by being caught out of position or missing that all-important tackle, or giving the ball away, or playing an awful clearance to opposition, or. you get the idea. I think he lost a lot of confidence and to be fair moving on might do him the world of good, a bit like Radi. (sorry ed, I know you've your own opinions!).

13.) Do we not have any decent youth players who could play 3rd fiddle to Cohen and Fox? Get Harding off the wage bill. He is league one quality at best. Has been known to put a decent cross in but is such a liability at the back and struggles to get back when other team counters

14.) Have we really progressed under Fawaz?, first season I think we finished eighth, last season think it was tenth, not having a go at him but he needs to give the manager time every time a new one comes in its a change of players and staff, this does look to be the best squad we've had under his regime, hopefully they will gel pretty quick, there his no dispute he has supported every manager with buying players but at this time we have not really moved forward let's hope he. His patient this time, hope fully Stuart will deliver or PP will be that much richer LoL!

15.) Colin Hazelden on EMT has just said that Harding and Collins have been told they can leave. Didn't mention Halford.

16.) EMT said Harding and Collins been told they can look for clubs. County are recruiting boys I'll row you across mesen ;)
Thank you for your efforts and good night don't worry those that leave you'll be able to watch us on MOTD next year!

{Ed034's Note - lol

17.) 07 Aug 2014 20:18:28
Harding has improved a lot since the start of last season.

The last goal of last season sums up Collins for me.

And halford forces the team to play far to deep, pearce will not allow the team to play like that.

18.) 07 Aug 2014 20:23:41
I think halford is being critisied far to much, under billy he played evry position he was asked and never once complained.

I even read that he would train as cb and then in a match play centre forward.

If he does go, I wish him all the best and hope he nails down a position and nmot become another utility player for his next team.

19.) Harding was a good signing that didn't pay off, it happens, but he should be nowhere near the team now so should be moved on. His confidence was so low he didn't want the ball and was afraid to make tackles. When he and Collins played together it was as if every attack led to a chance. They can both leave knowing they did their best but it wasn't good enough. I never thought when he signed a centre half from Stoke he wouldn't be able to head!

20.) You've to remember the circumstances that we signed the three mentioned defenders. I think when SOD started we only had one senior defender. Collins is in the twilight of his career and lacks pace. His tackling and heading is still very good and let's not forget he played the majority of his career at the highest level. His effort cannot be questioned. Harding l personally have never rated but we went about 5/6 years without having a permanent left back so he felt a god send at the time. Unless he is disruptive in the dressing room l would keep Halford. He rarely played his best position of CB and rarely has a bad game there. At full back he gets caught out as he turns like a tug boat. Very good touch for a big man and could do a job as a holding midfielder.

I don't post much but this waiting is driving me mad. Talking to someone who explained the extended time for the takeover to go through is probably because of the 80/20 split. It is easy to buy the lot you just agree a price and exchange, however with this you have to include how the 20% is used going forward, how it is eventually dissolved and there are possibly different deals as to which division we are in. And doing all this with Fatwaz has was not going to be strait forward In the meantime we wait but I think we will all appreciate good organised owners when we finally get them and therefore cut them a bit of slack to give them time to sort this mess out, they will need it

It could also be that Fawaz wants to sell HL so he can get the money back for himself, and needed JJ's agreement to do so?

20 Aug 2016 19:31:41
You may all disagree however I think that Brit having a slight injury is not necessarily a bad thing at this stage
Back to full fitness at the beginning of September with transfer window closed and we kick on, good times.

Zola has gone massively odds on with all the bookmakers. Looks like it's him.

People may disagree however I personally would not bring in another striker at this stage. I would see how we go. Strikers are better for game time and that has been one of our problems in the past, we have 3 main strikers plus Patto and antonio as back up in an emergency. I would hold on to a loan space but only use it if required. I feel a Def Midfielder (maybe Leigitwood if fit) and replace Landsbury if he goes (Loan?)however if we play 2 wingers we need less Center Mid, but that is it, Tight squad and do a Burnley. We have to be careful with loans as you are only allowed so many and Laseles and Darlow are taking up 2 of tham now, What do you all think

COYR

Redtab

1.) I agree rotating strikers doesn't work for us. We posses a genuine and real goal threat now in all forward positions. Going on last seasons figures our front 3 (new signings) and potential midfield 5!? Have scored roughly 120 goals between them last season at their respective levels.

2.) Maybe walker may be our 4th choice if needed? Plus still got dexter to come back

3.) Forgot about Dexter

4.) How could you forget off side Dexter

5.) 07 Aug 2014 12:54:02
You can forget dexter.

6.) I am trying to forget Dexter & hope SP does as well. I know he is a firm favourite of a lot of fans but IMO Cox, Mackie or even Henderson are & were better for us, Dex seemed to spend most of his time either offside or falling over, we have signed 3 out & out forwards & we alos have Pato so would like to see Dex being moved on if at all possible

Mentioned on the interview that the same reporter that broke this story has said that Landsbury going to Burnley
SP said they have not offered enough and that he has spoken to Henry and wants to keep him, I hope he is not overruled on this one as this would really hurt
On the positive side SP said we are looking at forward players and that a bid should be going in tonight and hopefully another by Saturday
let's Try and keep positive we still have a great squad and SP is still committed and says he is the best man for the job

I was there, it was the best atmosphere ever from Forest away following. Brian Clough red and white army none stop and when Spuds tried to sing the volume just went up to another level.
Anyone that was there will confirm the best ever COYR

Saw a stat on a site assessing
The top 10 play players in the championship
I have not checked the stat however it said in the 32 games Andy played in Forest lost only 3. In the 24 games theft he didn't we won only 4 sounds good to me
