Great news is:
1 Dias gone. Didn't even look like a footballer. Absolutely awful.
2 Hefele out for season. Let's hope is operation and injury recovers faster than his turn of pace!
3 Fox on his way

Bad news:
1 Dawson out for a minimum of another 6 weeks. Could be the end for him
2 Worrall staying at Rangers when he is needed here.

NorthNottsRed

1.) 25 Jan 2019 07:04:06
Did you see Worralls blunder last night? I'd rather he stay and we get someone better in.

2.) 25 Jan 2019 10:28:41
Yeah, been on the Rangers Banter site and told them "6 Million and he's all yours!!" 😂😂😂

3.) 25 Jan 2019 11:53:43
Worrall is still a prospect

4.) 25 Jan 2019 13:28:32
Like many players over a long period of time, look very good initially but never seem to improve.

5.) 25 Jan 2019 13:37:21
One blunder all season

Fox and Hefele make one each per game

6.) 25 Jan 2019 16:42:09
A month ago everyone was saying how good fox has been and is integral to the squad and I agree still, I would be interested in who people think we are going to get in that is so much better. I am also concerned the possibility of signing mclean not for me don't rate him at all.

7.) 25 Jan 2019 19:08:18
Who all agreed?
Not me,fans get carried away when he pings a long ball,he just can't defend, something he couldn't do as a left back either,he just went forward with no care for his defensive duties, hasn't suddenly learnt the art of defending🤔

8.) 25 Jan 2019 19:48:25
Why have all our players suddenly been condemned as rubbish?
We have a new manager who is great at getting the best out of players and will bring in 2 or 3 key signings to cover the injuries and lack of cover this month.
Cannot believe the doom and gloom has started already!
Little wonder all your negativity becomes a self fulfilling prophecy? 🙄😒👎

9.) 25 Jan 2019 20:29:34
No doom and gloom, just saying he needs to bin off karankas failures ,never mind new signings it's the wrong window for quality.
That's your mates answer ,bring eight signings in,all crap except colback,Martin is more astute and the owners will have learnt a lesson from buying quantity over quality.

10.) 26 Jan 2019 10:31:33
All rubbish don't make me laugh, I would be interested to hear who you would like to bring in once these apparent waste of times are shipped out

11.) 26 Jan 2019 11:30:15
I don't buy the players my friend,we just need some pace in the side for starters, midfielder who can control the game and another striker with pace, goalkeeper centre back.
Let's put the question to you,if you think these players are good, name the ones you'd keep and why.🤔

12.) 27 Jan 2019 16:48:08
Your glad Hef is out for the season. that is a awful thing for a supporter to say.

Worral is a huge prospect but we don’t need him back, he has been up and down for Rangers, some good performances and some poor ones and he is likely to get more game time there.

14 Jan 2019 20:51:10
Good Luck MoN.

Whatever his style of football, let's hope it is quicker and slicker than AK's. 16 wins from 52 games, with plenty of boring draws along the way.

Looking forward to him and Keane. Should be far more entertaining. At least will be able to decipher the interviews!

NorthNottsRed

12 Jan 2019 21:39:48
I've been saying for at least 2 seasons that Danny Fox is an absolute liability and an awful football player that belongs in league 1 or 2. NOT being a captain in a championship team vying for promotion to the PL! 4/5 good games don't make him great.

NorthNottsRed

1.) 12 Jan 2019 23:25:10
Add to that 2 weak full backs.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 11:38:00
Glad it's not just me then. I've always said Fox and Darikwa are both liabilities and never rated them on this forum and people slated me! Out of their depths in a shallow puddle.

3.) 13 Jan 2019 11:39:14
Couldn't believe it at the start of the season when Fox came out in the captains armband

4.) 13 Jan 2019 12:51:45
Bring back eric far better than darikwa

30 Dec 2018 23:10:20
What about this stat.
Dougie freedman, with a transfer embargo, wage cap etc, with Chris O Grady upfront, after 50 games had more points than Katanka has.

Karanka has spent over £30 million, ( net £20m) been backed with every player he's asked for, and we've won 8 games out of 25 this season.
I'm with marinakis, not good enough I'm afraid!

NorthNottsRed

1.) 31 Dec 2018 00:01:37
This is what I've been trying to say. He's definitely no better than Warburton, Freedman etc. The only reason a lot of fans won't admit it is because they were so desperate for him to be appointed that they will look silly.

We've all been wrong before guys. Get over it. This boss is not good enough.

22 Dec 2018 21:59:48
A few considered thoughts after today's abject performance.

Why play a makeshift back 4 with a left back and centre half and a right back at left back with a centre half on the bench? Totally unbalanced the team.

Why drop Yacob who was excellent at Derby and replace him with Avery average
Guedioura?

No width to the team other than the fullbacks, with one totally out of position and could only cross with Right foot from way outside the box. Why?

Why bring on Murphy, Annsarifad and go three up top with no wingers?

Karanka must have the answers?!

Jury out, but if he doesn't get his act together he will be gone!

NorthNottsRed

1.) 23 Dec 2018 15:07:46
AK kept playing Watson till he realised the midfield was a weakness. Now he plays Guediora as playmaker, which he isn't, and I hope he stops making these mistakes. Yacob and Colback are a natural pairing, both happy to drop back and cover for our fullbacks, Darikwa and Robinson, who can be given full rein to run at the opposition. I still think Osborn is better used as the playmaker for Grabban and Cash, but unfortunately he'll stick with Carvalho.
If we do sell Lolley, then I'd bring Burke back for a few million, and start using Appiah a lot more - he's better than Dias and Goncalves.
I doubt the new DoF would sanction any of this at all, but unless the second half of the season is a vast improvement on the first we are doomed to mid-table obscurity again.

About a net £20m spend on 17 new additions by AK since appointment.
5 points better off than last season at same stage under MW, who did it with academy and players bombed by AK!

NorthNottsRed

1.) 28 Dec 2018 13:24:03
A few minor tweaks and we will do much better. Walker, Smith, Worrall and Cummings were no where near good enough. It’s a very reasonable point though because Dias , Goncalves and Carvalho aren’t good enough either . WE just can’t seem to find a manager that can build a winning team and formula. Bring davies back - better than all the rest by a mile .

2.) 28 Dec 2018 13:56:19
If the manager goes how about martin oneil and paul Hart combo. Maybe they are both ready for retirement but look at woy hodson he has got to be 70 now and has worked wonders at wba and palace.
Talking of which, look at steve mclaren. Washed up it would seem, lost first four games of the season and looked destined for the bin??? He has turned around a poor qpr team in a very shirt period of time when his back was agajnst the wall. Fair play to him. Remember he walked at Forest without a penny.

3.) 28 Dec 2018 15:03:14
Let's look at karankas signings
1pants crap
2 janko jury's out
3 soudani injured all time
4 Dias crap
5 concalves crap
6 tachoditis never used must be crap
7 Iranian guy must be crap and now injured
8 calvalho overrated too lightweight
9 Watson looked good last season been useless this season
That's nine.
Ones that have been ok / good
Yacob colback Robinson hefele figs lolley grabbon
Would you trust karanka with say another 10million

4.) 28 Dec 2018 15:09:50
Im getting fed up of managers moaning about us norwich manager says they should have had a penalty when robinson appeared to handle he forgot to mention about the dreadful tackle on robinson in which the norwich player should have been sent off uncle frankie said they should have had a penalty but forgot to mention they should have had two players sent off talk about bias 😠

5.) 28 Dec 2018 15:56:35
What a crap post Always. They are all better than the crap we had in before and we have lost only one game to a top 6 team this season.

AK did not land all his targets in the summer nor move a few more out so he needs Jan to sort out the missing pieces before he is judged!

6.) 28 Dec 2018 16:11:23
I had forgotten soudani lol crap anyway

7.) 28 Dec 2018 16:14:38
Its no coincidence thst our best players are British

8.) 28 Dec 2018 16:24:42
Really. you would give him more time and money before he’s judged?
17 players in,millions spent and poor management against Norwich!
So enlighten us all rie what are the missing pieces?

9.) 28 Dec 2018 16:27:12
Have we signed any that in the unlikely event were promoted could play in the PL?
Could be Worrall, Yates , Brereton, McKay much more likely to mature into PL players than some of AK.s signings .
CARLO

10.) 28 Dec 2018 17:03:49
Ansarifard is not injured he's with the Iranian Side in a competition.

27 Dec 2018 10:25:25
With the money we have spent in the transfer market and the very high wages for free transfers and loans we have about 18 months left before FFP kicks in again.
That's why the owners are getting nervous of 10th place behind teams who have spent next to nothing.

NorthNottsRed

1.) 27 Dec 2018 10:52:37
NNR, how do you know what they’ve spent and what their wage bill is ? Let’s not beat about the bush here the mistake is carvalho, like I said at the time spending 13 million on a ‘prospect’ is what prem teams do - not skint championship clubs. We should have limited the spending to around 13 million - I think we’d be about where we are now if we had.

2.) 27 Dec 2018 11:00:00
If I remember rightly the 13 million is actually spread over his contract. So it won't really effect FFP that much.

3.) 27 Dec 2018 12:11:12
Actually you’re right pal - I heard that too now you mention it

4.) 27 Dec 2018 12:31:52
Surely it will still appear on the balance sheet as an expenditure though ??

5.) 27 Dec 2018 13:00:48
I know because I read the accounts which are publicly available my friend.
We had 2 years now that is down to 18 months.
The transfer fees and wages are spread over the length of the contract for FFP accounting. Hence you now see longer contracts. Murphy is a prime example of longer contract to reduce FFP impact.
If you look at AK signings a good proportion have been awful. That’s why the owner is nervous.
AK wants more Owner wants sales. Only be one winner!

6.) 27 Dec 2018 17:17:41
Sorry pal, crossed wires, I agree with what you say about us I’m just not convinced others have worked on the show string that you think they have. Perhaps you’ve read their accounts and if so fair enough - that was my question .

7.) 27 Dec 2018 18:40:25
Love it!got a thumbs down for asking a question lol

27 Dec 2018 00:12:35
If he is sacked and I am not convinced he should be, then Leonardo Jardim is an outstanding but likely very expensive option.
He was on Arsenal short list in Summer.

NorthNottsRed

1.) 27 Dec 2018 07:16:54
Sacking Karanka would be a stupid decision right now, yes some of his decisions have gone wrong, but the players I believe are still fighting for him, he took Robinson off yesterday because the ref was trigger happy and that’s where it all went wrong, for me the referring and decisions have gone against Forest for most of the season and has probably robbed us for about ten points.
If like me I wasn’t expecting to score three goals at Norwich but we did nor five goals at Villa,
If we win the next couple of games we are all happy clappy again, if the results don’t go our way then yes I can see Karanka losing his job and we are back on that merry go round again and again and again and so on.
Calm down and enjoy the ride.

2.) 27 Dec 2018 08:33:46
Demis. We are still no closer to consistancy and are dreadful at home. Fanscare turning up in droves to be bored. His faith in players is unbelieveable. Young cash and osborn are treated poorly yet give everything for the cause. We have simply the worst keeper and he sticks by him. Carvallaho is treated as undropable yet is weak at this level. When you bring on Dias to shore things up you know he has lost ths plot. Look at his subs against QPR???. No he has had time and has chosen the wrong times to sulk to the media. He has no tricks p

3.) 27 Dec 2018 10:24:27
Osborn puts a shift in but hasn’t done anything in a red shirt, now needs to be sold, look at our win ratio with him playing, Cash is in consistent as is Carvaleho, for me this should be a season to build and plan a challenge next season, we are still shy of three or four players to get this club back in the top flight, wot will be wil be, we have been here before. We need another goal keeper another left back another goal scorer and someone to replace Dawson because he isn’t able to compete for a whole season.

4.) 27 Dec 2018 10:51:15
You’re deluded mate with regard to carvallho not better than zac clough or Jamie patterson but consistently gets picked where they never did,hes bound to have the odd decent phase in a game simply because of the pitch time he gets, people on here including me compared him to majewski, well we were all wrong, radi on his day was a much better player and his days came around more often than carvallhos seems to me some on here have been blinded by the ridiculous fee he cost, had he cost a million or so my guess is he would have passed most supporters by, in general his contribution is insignificant

5.) 27 Dec 2018 11:05:33
Carva didn't stop pressing against norwich. you're deluded if you think his general contribution is insignificant. I bet you he did the most running out of the whole forest team. he's knackered and can still deliver a killer ball.

6.) 27 Dec 2018 11:28:55
Running and pressing is the minimum you would expect from any young kid , we payed 13 mill for a playmaker to unlock the likes of qpr and Preston at home if your looking for runners and pressers play Osborn and cash every game, given our outlay his contribution has been insignificant, and he certainly doesn’t deserve what he appears to be the 1st name on the team sheet every week, like I said no better than clough or Patterson and gives the ball away more often than both of them

26 Dec 2018 17:18:02
Karanka needs to take a long look at himself after those woeful last 5 mins.
Why bring Dias on in that situation?

NorthNottsRed

1.) 26 Dec 2018 17:22:06
You know he has to bring him on ,absolute Maddness !
CARLO

2.) 26 Dec 2018 17:34:33
He doesn't have to bring him on, carlo. It was krankie's decision and a terrible one at that.

3.) 26 Dec 2018 17:45:55
Why Kranka has to change the team every match using all 3 subs is mind bogling. Brings cash back in on a hatrick so takes him off. Norwich wingers had more space today than ever before where has the man marking gone. Kranka needs sort himself out as not good enough at the minute, this could derail a half decent start to the season

12 Dec 2018 13:04:47
Thought the FA dictated the ticket allocations for FA Cup ties?!
Our allocation of less than 3000 from Chelsea is very poor.

NorthNottsRed

{Ed001's Note - it is a percentage of the overall gate that is a minimum they can give, unless there are valid safety reasons not to. According the to FA Cup rules and in particular section 21. (a) the distribution of tickets should be as follows:
"In all matches preceding the Semi-Finals, the Visiting Club shall have the right to claim up to 15% of all accommodation for which tickets are issued providing these tickets are in a fully segregated area."

They can reduce it based on not having a segregated area or advice from the local Safety Advisory Group (which is made up of H&S, local council, emergency services etc). The other factor is that your club might not have requested the full 15%. That happens quite a lot.}

1.) 12 Dec 2018 16:11:03
Thanks for clearing that up Ed.
I am not sure of the exact capacity of the Chelsea’s ground nor whether Forest turned down additional tickets but I reckon we took in excess of 4000 fans to an evening Carabo cup game last year so this is strange.

If the capacity is 40000 that would have provided circa 6000 tickets which we would have sold quite easily.

I suspect the local police have curtailed the allocation due to home games in the capital that day.

Sad and strange.

Arsenal game 12 months ago was packed with academy players. If memory serves me right about 7 in total.
Under AK the academy has been binned and a lot of money spent. Some very poor signings as well.
We have progressed but in a disproportionate way in comparison to amount spent.

No home game for two weeks, no midweek games. Window open, owner present yesterday. Next week crucial to AK future whether we agree or not.

Don’t forget the appallingly unbalanced team against Qpr.

Right back at left back with osborn assisting him
Left back at centre half
And centre half on bench
Then brings two centre forwards on and takes off both wingers

Useless tactician.

Watson and Osborn on the bench and our idiot manager brings Dias on?
Why?
For his pace going forward at 3.1 up when we need to be solid and close the game out?

Pathetic
