I know britts been compared to good old Stan the man but for me Antonio has very similar assets in that he's direct, turns in a sixpence very strong and a great finisher. would we miss him on the wing if he was moved upfront? because he posses all the attributes of a great striker. IMO he's the most dangerous player to the opposition we've had for many years.

1.) 19 Sep 2014 19:54:32
I would agree Antonio with Britt could be ideal partnership
Both fast strong think Pearce will use this as plan b.
Hope pato starts ahead of Burke tomorrow.

2.) Why can't we have all 3 starting? Using an interchanging system. All 3 could do a really good job in support as too on the wing, it will give an element of the unknown to our game. As soon as Pato came on, his head was up, always looking always making runs always looking to go forward. It lifted the game. Keep Henri in the number 10 role, Tesche holding. Then 3 of them rotating around the core, it'd frighten the living day lights out of the defence.
I like Osborne but he's lost a bit of his spark that he had last year. Would like to see Vaughan given some pitch time soon, hopefully when we're coasting.

3.) Big problem potentially is what we will do if Antonio gets an injury? Ideally we should be on the lookout for a similar player to bring in on loan as cover and then perhaps see where we are January and test Wolves resolve with a bid for
Sako?

Imagine Antonio and Sako in the same team?

4.) Maybe leave it how it is seeing as we are doing ok?just a thought like. people on here moan when billy use to change the team all the time. pearce is trying to get a settled side in a settled formation so let's leave it how it is and let him change it if games don't go our way like Wednesday.

It's going to be a tough decision when Vaughan is fully fit as I can't see tesche being dropped, he was excellent last night composed smart and confident.

It's a headache I'm glad I've not got to contend with.

Tesche looked tidy, but did make a couple of silly errors where he lost concentration (probably down to rustiness). Osbourn played some decent balls but I've never seen a player play so many return passes as he did.

2.) 18 Sep 2014 20:18:17
I was not there last night and bow to the opinions of the fans that were present. I agree a tradegy for CC and who now begrudges players their salaries.
The defence needs sorting. To me there is a unfilled problem at left back. Eric is good but a right back and cannot cross with his left. Centre backs Lascelles is an international under 21 and going to a premier ship side, he made a great partnership with Hobbs last season and would do with Manciene and should be first choice definitely above KW. Antonio and Brit seemed to work well togther and yes let's have Patterson instead of Burke on Sat with Vaughan Tesche and Lansbury. A more solid mid field and a great attack force

3.) So a centre back who kept Messi quiet in the Champions League won't be good enough once he's up to full speed then?

Just an observation But what happened to 'A'block it's dead this season lower bridgeford is rockin tho. Have they all moved?

Onlyherefortheforest

{Ed034's Note - a lot have moved to lower bridgford

1.) That explains it!

2.) Hi Ed long time since posting due to illness. I have been trying to keep up to date while laying in a hospital bed for 3 weeks,(am I addicted to this site) Anyway I was discharged last week with the instruction not to stand for too long and no booze. As I have posted before I have spent many years in the Trent End but got fed up with negative talk and poor vocal support of the lads. I took your advice and got a season ticket for Lower Bridgford End. Against my consultants advice I was there yesterday, Wow it was great, if only the whole ground was as enthusiastic and noisy, I loved it and forgot about not standing which I did for the whole game, I also did celebrate the score with some Scottish water. Thanks for the advice on where to sit you were spot on. By the way I was helped by fans to get to my seat and out of the ground safely, if any of them read this "I thank you". COYR

{Ed034's Note - glad to hear you're back on your feet and return to good health.
I think lower and upper bridgford have started to bounce off each other and the atmosphere will hopefully get better still

3.) 24 Aug 2014 12:34:08
A block sounds as loud as ever from where I'm sat in main stand. In theory, the lower Bridgford and a block should make one big singing block but they sing different songs at different times. Work together and it would be deafening.

Great result last night, especially away at bournemouth. A massive credit goes to Pearce for changing things up at half time and the players for their fight.

I've been thoroughly impressed with hunt every time I've seen him play and for me he has to be 1st choice right back with lichaj switching to lb until Cohen can drop back there.

Looks like henri has been telling his mate di-x porkies ed! because he should be back in training today according to steve wigley although he mite be not be available for Saturday he should be back for bournemouth. So much for rotting in the reserves lol! Should choose your friends better di-x 😉

Onlyherefortheforest

{Ed034's Note - :-o I'm in shock

1.) Still rumblings in couple papers today though of Lansbury apparently still wanting out despite a meeting with Pearce.
For me I want him to stay but if he is to go the club must receive the right fee and not just sell to appease the player. If it gets to the point where that fee isn't reached then we don't sell. Yes he might be a grumpy pup but I'm sure after a couple of weeks he will get his head round it and re-focus on forest until January at least. Didn't work badly for Liverpool and saurez last season!!

2.) I think we should just sell Lansbury and re-invest the money on bringing in ward-prowse on loan from Southampton. could be realistic depending on if their new manager plans on using him this season. I doubt he will. what do you reckon ed?

{Ed034's Note - I would go with nick powell

3.) Yeah nick powell wouldn't be a bad signing, would only be loan though. what about someone like leon britton on a permanent?

4.) I want Geddy back. great player. missed him a lot when he left.

5.) Wouldn't surprise me if pearce already has geddy lined up to try bring him back but probably won't try until he offloads abdoun

I can't believe for a minute that we'd let someone of vaughans quality go out on loan.

Depending on their (palaces) position come January I think could play a big part in us trying to negotiate a permenant deal for him. To prize him away should they be struggling. He is a cracking player easily the best right back in this league and just the type of player for us. As optimistic as I am though I'm sure palace will be watching him closely and his performances won't go unnoticed.

Blackstock hasn't played for the best part of 4 years, we all respect dex but well leave it to Pearce to judge whether or he's good enough or not. Don't forget he didn't look interested after he got his big deal so before criticising people look at the facts. And take everything into consideration.

Don't agree atall tbh. IMO The issue at the minute is that we are missing Reid big time and Antonio, henri and Burke just aren't performing as well as they have been the formation is fine and proven because we have been top scorers in the league. Britt is somewhat isolated ATM.

Dexter didn't get the chance to do anything that's why he did nothing. It was all Spurs tbh the last 15 mins

Thought Harding was actually pretty good tonight and i'm not sure how you can knock him atall, fox is ok on the ball but got caught several times tonight and is guilty of hoofball somewhat. Overall a good performance from the lads we got beaten by a screamer and a deflected shot.

Don't agree Hobbs and mancienne for me he's a great defender can't mark him down based on that one match. Last season he was awesome and he will be again

We look suspect at the back last night maybe but Hobbs, Wilson, lascelles are all missing or were coming back from injuries and didn't play last night for the majority.

The weaknesses in the back line will be fully addressed when they return to the 1st 11. A very short sighted post 2star we've not lost a game all season and you should know that every team in the championship is more than capable of beating any other team. Take last night for instance. Fulham aren't performing but they do have a very good team and in rodallega they have a very good player with premiership class.

Your post is just a mindless rant. And as for 442, scoring 5 goals in 451 I don't get your issue? I don't see the problem when you've got the attacking threat that we posses. Particularly in Antonio with his ability to run at players

I'll echo Eynsham reds remarks. Unbelievable Jeff.
