Og post match sounded like he's not to blame for losing to Leeds Twice in 4 days! Did he not learn from Saturday? Why play almost a different side, when it's the tactics and set up that let us down!
It's no good blaming Forest Mr Og, because Vp had Forest playing attacking football. Forest were scoring for fun.
4 - 1 win against Burnley
3 - O win at Spurs
3 - 1 win at Chelsea
5 - 0 win at Sunderland
I know a new coach needs time, but Vp didn't! Vp didn't blame the club publicly either, which Og did post match.
Now if I remember rightly, Nuno did the same thing and was sacked.
Question now is, has Og realised he made a mistake coming to Forest and wants out?
26 Aug 2026 10:32:44
No Keeff, we made a mistake signing him & getting rid of Vitor. But then again, we are owned by one huge mistake.
26 Aug 2026 10:38:01
We need VP back, Larry, asap.
26 Aug 2026 07:58:47
I have never witnessed such an abject display of football as last night. No passion, no fight, no pride. It was embarrassing. Glasner needs to sort out this malaise NOW!
Sels had more touches than Stevie Wonder last night. The ball was constantly passed back to him š” We had no forward momentum whatsoever and surrendered the midfield completely.
Wood, Kalimuendo and Jesus didnāt work together, and poor old Schlager and Dominguez were overrun in midfield.
There was no creativity from this team, who looked like strangers to each other.
3 at the back is not working and Neco is struggling as a wingback.
13m a year for what? Under VP we had energy and sparkle; now weāve got flat beer.
26 Aug 2026 09:46:46
Forest will be 4/5 games into the season, and won't have a point on the board, unless OG changes the system back to how Forest play. We don't have wing backs!
We have full backs!
We have wingers?
Please, Mr M, buy a couple midfield players now, before it's too late!
COYR.
26 Aug 2026 10:05:26
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ That's his system; that's how he got Palace winning silverware. Why would he change it? We love Glasner, living the Glasner Mr M dream. š
26 Aug 2026 10:27:23
That's well boring now, Skeggs...
26 Aug 2026 11:00:27
It's been well boring for a long time, Rogie.
I'm not in the least surprised the wheel has come off, not even surprised by how early. I've been saying what the problems would be since VP was sacked, but have been repeatedly told by the so-called "experts" on here that OG was a better manager than VP (despite the stats saying otherwise).
Only a deluded fool would swap a manager who had the squad onside, the team scoring for fun and playing great football, which the fans were loving.
As I keep saying, if it's not broke, don't try to fix it.
This smacks of another Ange-type disaster unfolding. Another blunder from our glorious leader
"Living the Glasner/Mr M dream."
How's it going for y'all?

Football is such an emotional sport that it feels impossible to not want to either panic or celebrate after every success or failure. That said, Iām annoyed we have already exited a cup competition in which we have such a long standing pedigree. We are out of our best chance of silverware already.
But the reality is that we have faced a relegation scrap in 3 of the 4 seasons since we returned. Nothing I have seen of this season or over the Summer can make me feel anything else is likely again. Our team is weaker than this time last year as we have lost an unbelievable player in Anderson. We came 16th last year and were in not for him, MGW and VP, we would have been relegated.
Rather than build on that positive vibe and progress, here we are again with our Owner. The words āstabilityā, āstrategyā and āplanā don't seem to exist.
Glasner is an excellent manager, but the reality is we have acted in this window like a club which is saving money. Perhaps we need to, despite the £116m sale of Anderson, and if so, that is 100% down to the chaos of prior spending summers - last season being largely a mess in terms of what we bought.
Glasner will need time and on gigantic wages of Ā£13,5 a year he will have to get it surely. But Mr M is so trigger happy and so impatient, that nothing would surprise me. Thatās why Glasner is already joint favourite to be the first Prem manager to leave.
Squad wise we look thin to me (specially in midfield where the plan appears to play McAtee in most/every Prem match). Too few established Prem players - and we are not yet an established Prem club - and apparently we now only want a RWB. Delap has potential but Heās not scored goals for 18 months and is overpriced. I saw him a lot last year and have to hope he improves.
Weāve been slow in this window (Leeds bought Wilson on a free in early July and then Trafford, Englandās next No 1, for 10m less than Delap, in early August as an example) which is either some great tactical game of chess on key targets or another sign we are perhaps tightening the purse strings. No idea.
I have zero idea what will happen, and with our owner itās pointless predicting much, but we do need to see an improvement all round.
Whatever happens, Glasner needs our support as he is 100% an excellent manager.

After watching that match at the City Ground Iāve got only 3 words to describe it: āabject dismal surrenderā.
26 Aug 2026 07:39:44
Forest were wide open in the full back positions! Leeds played the ball into that space and created chances. Dan James unmarked when he received the ball to score!
Shocking again!

Post match quotes via Glasner.
Nottingham Forest āignoring realityā in opening losses ā Oliver Glasner.
āThis is a little bit the assessment after six weeks here, that maybe ā and not just in the team, itās maybe in the club ā that thereās a little bit of ignoring the reality,ā Glasner said.
āRight now, we are far away from where we want to be, and what Iām really convinced in that where we will be.
āThe fact is that this team had a relegation battle for nine months. Very turbulent season and it ended with a huge effort to stay in the league, and this is our starting point.
āItās really very important not to blame anybody because sometimes I tell them facts and they say, āOh, Glasner is complainingā.
āNo, no, no. But then maybe your best midfielder (Elliot Anderson) leaves the club and now we expect we compete for European places because Oliver Glasner is in. Sorry, this is what I canāt deliver within six weeks.
āIām no magician, no messiah, just hard work. That is what we have to do.
āIt doesnāt make sense talking about seventh two years ago. Itās hard, itās tough, but if you ignore the reality then you live in dreamland and this is never the best thing to do.ā
Fair points I'd say.

Following another defeat, it appears that the current squad may not be optimally suited for the tactics being implemented by Glasner. Specifically, Wood seems to be past his prime, and the players collectively appear disoriented on the pitch.
In hindsight did Marinakis do the right thing with VP?
It is evident that VP and Nuno successfully motivated the team to function cohesively.
Each player demonstrated a clear understanding of their individual role and the roles of their teammates.
Will OG get it right? I sincerely hope so, because we can't keep rolling the dice and getting rid of coaches/ management.
It's not over as yet but it doesn't look great at this early stage.
Patience is needed, along with a few replacements.
Please maintain your belief.

The Glasner honeymoon period is already over! C*** and clueless, Whatās this 3 centre backs and wing backs rubbish! Itās not the way we play and is isolating our better players. Itās early days but Iām gonna call this now, this Austrian g**** wonāt last the season! I said as soon as we were linked with him that I didnāt like his smarmy smile nor his hair style and my opinion wonāt change anytime soon.
Glasner out!
26 Aug 2026 04:36:03
The Glasner bounce is in full cry. 𤣠Even Burhnam got some bounce. Absolutely headless chicken stuff, we were flying under Vitor & scoring for fun. Enter Maricrackers. 1) Let's ditch a winning formula & a happy squad. 2) I'll get Glasner round for a few pints, if Mythos & a dodgy gyros make him the highest-paid manager in the league.
3) I got ripped off for 35 mill with Hutchinson, I need more of that great Ipswich team that got relegated. Mmm, I know Delap has flopped at Chelsea, they paid 30 mill, but I think I can prize him away for 45 mill plus add ons. Coco the clown stuff. Enjoy your season, chaps.
26 Aug 2026 05:29:28
If Glasner is a top coach, then, due to his knowledge and expertise, I expect him to turn this around and get something at Liverpool.
26 Aug 2026 06:14:46
Just watched him saying, "We had no stability in the team."
Oh yes we bloody well had!!!!!.
š”š”š”
26 Aug 2026 06:24:49
Exactly Rogie, Vitor was building something good.
26 Aug 2026 06:40:30
I just don't get why we had to change coaches???!!!
We were flying under Vitor!!!!
The football was free flowing.
They've looked lost these first 2 games.
Nothing against Glasner whatsoever, however we just didn't need him, Mr M.
25 Aug 2026 23:30:23
So we lose sight of yrt another piece of silverware. If we go out of the FA Cup early that only leaves (yet again) Prem League survival.
I don't like the odds. We looked like a bunch of strangers playing in a pub team tonight.
We lost Nuno and Pereira who did us proud and now we are too late to rebuild.
As others have said this will be a very difficult season (again).
