Dexter Blackstock is currently trying to find himself an agent with links outside the UK. Well he has been asking for one, I assume for himself. Judging by what has been said on here, it seems likely he will be leaving Forest and you will all be happy to be rid.
1.) 07 Jun 2016 07:20:01
I don't think he's ever let us down ed and I wouldn't be one to say I'd be glad to see him go, I've heard he is paid a ridiculous amount so the money side would be beneficial but he has been a decent player (with a few limitations) and did put in some important goals for us. Good luck to him.
{Ed001's Note - ok mate, I was just judging by the posts I have read. They tend to be very negative about him.}
2.) 07 Jun 2016 07:45:36
Turns up a couple of times a season. No thanks, get him off the wage bill.
3.) 07 Jun 2016 08:31:32
He can go for me .
lazy and no good for us going forward in the future.
I wish him all the best.
4.) 07 Jun 2016 08:51:11
Lazy?
Dexter is not the most gifted player, but anyone who has actually watched him play will know that he is not lazy. It is not his fault what he gets paid. He is always willing to put his body on the line and this is why he has suffered from so many injuries.
The biggest problem with Dexter is that he needs a run of games to find his best form, but his body struggles when he plays regularly.
Having said all that, if he wants to leave, I would not stop him.
5.) 07 Jun 2016 08:51:55
Dex pops up with the odd important goal but as GazzaRed says he only turns up a couple of times a season PLUS he is very injury prone. I wouldn't say he was a lazy player Darrenforest1976 that is just his style of play ;)
6.) 07 Jun 2016 09:23:24
Sorry just read he needs a run of game and had to chuckle he's played well over 200 games his best ever career total is 13 goals but I would look at him playing a different role may be in defence it's worked successfully before give dex his due though he's not lazy and good with his head.
7.) 07 Jun 2016 09:36:02
Never let us down. Brave in the air but not the best option going foward. All the best dex.
8.) 07 Jun 2016 09:58:51
I must admit when he first arrived on loan and his first season he was great but his major injury finished him off. last couple of seasons. slow, uninspiring, massive wage bill. got to go.
9.) 07 Jun 2016 09:58:52
Another of the players like Guy Moussi who once they got their three-year contract never were the same again. Blackstock wasn't lazy just too laid-back. And never pinned down a regular slot. A luxury on the bench.
10.) 07 Jun 2016 15:33:12
Scored more than Macheda, Akpon, and anyone else who should have been behind him in the pecking order.

Forest have spoken to Hull City regarding Maguire. I don't know anything more than that, though they are looking to send him out to the Championship on loan, so I am not sure who approached who about him. It might well be that Hull asked if Forest want him to cover injuries.
1.) I'm not saying this is untrue, however I can see why we need another CB when laselles is available, Hobbs yes is injured but is it long term? Wilson ands mancinne looking good partnership. COYR
2.) Cant see us needing another CB on loan, we have Laselles, the 2 kids in reserve, plus Halford Collins and Fox who can all play in this position too
3.) And don't forget there is Laing as well

4 years ago today, when "Big Coop's" got us to The Promised Land!!!!
Never forget it, all my mates, in Forest shirts!!!
Uuu Redddss!!!!
2.) 28 May 2026 10:59:25
4 years ago! Wow! Where's that gone? Watched it at my daughter's, pretty full house in Doncaster, then BBQ.
But don't mention Cooper on here, mate, he was useless apparently. Likewise Yatesy. ?
3.) 28 May 2026 11:22:22
Que "Waldorf & Statler!"
. ???
4.) 28 May 2026 11:58:46
Rogie. ????
5.) 28 May 2026 12:22:38
Cooee Roger, I'm here for you, how's tricks?
??
6.) 28 May 2026 12:26:07
Stokie, get it right. He wasn't good enough to take us any further in the Premier League, fact. A good Championship manager, fact. How many full games has Yatesy had this season, 3 or 4? Another good Championship player.
We are not in the Championship, we need better players and better managers to do better, another fact. As Shaun Dyche was proven, he can't do the job either. ?
7.) 28 May 2026 12:48:45
??????? And awaaaaaayyyy! ??
8.) 28 May 2026 12:53:09
Stokie, so you agree with me, Cooper, Yates, Dyche are not good enough. ?
9.) 28 May 2026 13:14:28
.....And it's Waldorf to the rescue once again!!!.
???
???
10.) 28 May 2026 13:16:28
"Catch Of The Day!!!"
Stokie, mate!!!
????
11.) 28 May 2026 13:25:17
Make sure you put them back in gently, mate!
???
12.) 28 May 2026 13:54:01
That's why I don't go fishing, mate. It's much less hassle to shoot them in a barrel.... I "cod" you not, Rogie! Easy to knock them off their "perch," but, hopefully, their scars will soon "eel". ???
13.) 28 May 2026 14:19:58
Maybe that will be the "Fin" ish!!!
14.) 28 May 2026 13:44:48
Rogie my little seal ? ? ? ? so every time you and stokie talk crap about cooper yatesy and dyche we can't say anything cause your getting your rods out.not a chance pal we've listened to your crap about them to long.has beens ????
15.) 28 May 2026 15:03:58
Every team needs a "Yatesy", mate.
Cooper done something I (and you) thought we'd never see again.
He, at the very least, deserves huge credit for that. Now get back up into your balcony, the pair of you!!!
???
???
?
16.) 28 May 2026 15:39:13
Like I said, Rogie, good Championship manager and player, simples. ?
17.) 28 May 2026 18:16:45
Rogie, you can "bank" that certain posters on here regularly drop a "pollock" and say things that are out of "plaice". Talk about making a "rod" for your own "bass". ? ?
18.) 28 May 2026 18:36:24
You pair, don't half talk some 'carp'. ?
19.) 28 May 2026 19:31:34
Brilliant. ???
20.) 28 May 2026 19:49:06
Lot of ya gotta nasty "halibut" of arguing. Get one your pikes. Includes you, cyclist.
21.) 28 May 2026 20:10:09
I'm just a toad from Toad Hall.
Got a sole but know f*** all? ???
22.) 28 May 2026 20:48:23
"Reel" ly good stuff lads! ??
23.) 28 May 2026 19:40:32
Any more of that mate, and I'll "Batter" yee!!
????
24.) 28 May 2026 21:21:47
All a load of codswallop. ?
25.) 28 May 2026 21:33:00
DTP, I bet the first book of the fish bible you read was about the Craytion. ?
26.) 28 May 2026 21:33:37
I knew you loved fish, but I didn't realize how much until I saw your mullet. ?
27.) 28 May 2026 21:42:40
That's how you do it, Stokey.
Not once, but twice, talking to himself. ???????
28.) 28 May 2026 21:55:52
Cod you please calm down? You're being a reel pain in the bass. ?
P.S. Stop liking your own posts, no way anyone else would have liked it before I saw it. ?
And, honestly, trying the fishing carp on a thread about fish puns and jokes makes you look even more of a Willy Wonker. ?
29.) 28 May 2026 22:01:50
You can't resist winter. ???????
30.) 28 May 2026 22:10:15
You should enroll for dumber and dumber part two, you'd definitely get the role ????
31.) 28 May 2026 22:32:46
It's a red herring winter, like a bullfish in a China chop. But that's another dory.
32.) 28 May 2026 22:39:19
Lol, you can't just basically repeat what i said to you. Pathetic attempt once again. Your just lucky that ED is on tonight and correcting the grammar and spelling mistakes. ??
33.) 28 May 2026 22:45:22
Can't resist, like I say. ??
34.) 29 May 2026 15:39:35
This is starting to feel a little fishy. Time to scale back. ??

Many thanks for this Ed and the rest of the seasons summaries mate
Interesting, informative and a good read as usual! ?
{Ed001's Note - thanks Stokey. My eyes need the rest from watching it all!}
2.) 27 May 2026 19:20:27
There's only 104 matches to report on at the World Cup Ed??
{Ed001's Note - I won't be watching that mate, it is via subscription here and I am not paying for that crap. I don't like international footie at all.}
3.) 27 May 2026 19:34:08
Fair enough Ed, I'll miss most of the matches to, way too late from me. ?
{Ed001's Note - yeah it is very late here, so that is also a consideration.}

I think it is fair to point out, I have nothing personal against Joe Cole, he is actually a lovely lad, a really nice lad who does work his butt off when he is on the pitch. The problem is that he is not very bright, and when he is training he tries too hard to be one of the lads and ends up slacking off messing around with his mates. That is probably why he did better while in France, as he would not have been able to do that, with him being unable to really get into the banter due to the language barrier. He allows himself to get distracted and led astray, in a very similar way to Gazza, though without anything like as much talent to get away with it.
02 Aug 2025 16:16:07
Thanks mate, it just amazed me as I was thinking he was flying and then it is a real shock to see other players keeping pace easily.
16 Oct 2024 18:18:38
That will confuse everyone.
31 Mar 2023 15:25:27
Nonsense Rutland. The country can insist a player is checked out by their medical staff. Clubs cannot refuse to send a player, they can only advise the national team they are not fit for selection. It is then up to the nation to decide to call them up or not.
14 May 2022 14:50:37
I thought you might be suffering today! Cheers mate, and good luck for Forest in the play-offs.
08 Apr 2022 19:23:18
stay safe please Bowie. It is always good to see you around on here!
