Bendtner signed. 2 year deal. Welcome the Lord. COYR.

Seeing the press conference he seems to have his feet on the ground. Impressed by the philosophy of pm and saying its 11 players that win a game not 2 when asked about a partnership with Brit. I know a lot of what players say at these things is what we want to hear "club with fantastic history" etc etc but I feel a bit better about his attitude now.

Telegraph reporting, "Forest target Tom Ince" we approached hull on Monday according to the article.

RedStuart

1.) Yep, its on NEP website now, good player if on form & who would pearce drop to play him ???? intresting

2.) I'd play a 4-2-3-1. Two out of Vaughan, tesche and Lansbury. Then Burke, ince and Antonio with Britt up top.
Ince in a number 10 role linking the play.
So fryatt would be on the bench

Sheffield Wednesday looking at Oliver Burke. Loan or buy. Attacking mided player. MW, please bring him home.

RedStuart

1.) 18 Jun 2017 18:28:33
That would put us in another embargo, would love him back but would you be one of those complaining if we were unable to buy anyone because we brought him back. We can not gamble on him getting us promoted.

2.) 18 Jun 2017 19:30:29
Why couldn't we compete for him in the loan?

3.) 18 Jun 2017 19:51:36
If we try to get him on loan we would probably have to pay £30,000 in wages every week, however if Wednesday are thinking about buying him would his club want to loan him out to us. It is a lose, lose, lose situation.
Either we will not get him on loan if Wednesday offer enough to buy him, or we would be paying silly wages on a player that is not even ours, or we would buy him then be put in another embargo. It is a tantalising, and romantic idea but not realistic for a club in our position. Where would we be as far as bringing in other players.

4.) 18 Jun 2017 20:49:09
Should never been sold.

5.) 18 Jun 2017 20:59:17
Heard another snippet of gossip! Apparently we are now in talks with Homebase as one of our Sponsors? . let's hope they don't lead us up the garden path! 😂😂😂🌷🌷🌷🍻🍻🍻.

6.) 18 Jun 2017 21:36:43
I heard it was going to be The Range, but if you wear anything Red or Denim the staff turn you away.

7.) 18 Jun 2017 23:02:35
Interested to know what supporters who boycotted games when he left, would pay to get him back?

8.) 19 Jun 2017 07:13:42
Nobody boycotted the games because he was sold. lol. it was just the spoilt brats that were having a hissy fit and throwing there dummies out the pram.

9.) 19 Jun 2017 08:32:42
UTF, I think you're right. Albeit I do shudder to think how much of the money was wasted on last seasons dead beat signings and another failed manager.

10.) 19 Jun 2017 09:32:00
2star most of those deadbeat signings were made by a bloke that our new owners put in charge. i'm just happy we have clough because if he's used right next season he will be worth some serious coin and will be player of the season. i just hope the Greek doenst start smelting mw splash the cash.

11.) 19 Jun 2017 09:54:31
UTF
If your boss gave you a grand for a company car, would that car be as good as a car if your boss gave you five grand.

12.) 19 Jun 2017 10:51:27
By all accounts you're spot on mate, he did. My message to marinakis is please don't sanction any signings over 2million as we just can't afford it. Don't sanction daft wages either because we can't afford that either. There is plenty we can do though and much to be positive about. Too many fans still don't get though and I dare say another 5000 tickets would sell if we spent 10million. I doubt we will sell more than 15000 tickets unless some Big statement signings arrive. I find that disappointing support for the new owners and their promise of more stable and sustainable horizons.

13.) 19 Jun 2017 09:34:38
Oh yes they did
People who pay to go and watch their team have every right to have so called hissy fits ect, when they can see their club making so many many bad decisions and like Paul Taylor said last fans week we were denied the chance to see his talent develope in a red shirt and like 2star says the money was absolutely wasted!
CARLO.

14.) 19 Jun 2017 13:21:12
Carlo we are talking about Burke going and people not attending jusst because he was sold. no need to get in your high horse with all the "in a proper fan, I go to all the games" if you don't go to every game your not a true fan" rubbish. burke was sold for the good of the club which would of helped with the sale of our club as well.

15.) 20 Jun 2017 18:19:42
If Burke was sold for he good of the club I, m a Dutchman, sold for the good of you know who, as for being a proper fan, I, m an England fan but I don, t go, but am a fan or just English, but as I, ve said before if at all possible most fans try to get to a game once in a way, my son is a serving military man away from Nottm but gets to a couple of gams most seasons so l, m the last to say you must go to every game to be a fan, he loves them, .

I like most people would love to see MON in charge next season, but if this is not possible who? Iv looked on various betting sites at who's favourite and I'm not sure. One name that's not been mentioned is Michael Laurup.

RedStuart

1.) 27 Apr 2016 16:42:54
MON will hate forest after a few months because the fans will want him out lol so doesn't matter who we get really because nothing will ever be good enough for some fans. say we do get promoted in the next couple years, how many of you will expect us to get champions league and win the league just because Leicester have been able to do it.

2.) 27 Apr 2016 17:54:10
Look at hull fans. protesting mid week even tho they are in the playoffs, shows that fans are way off it when it comes to there club. they should be getting behind them at this moment in time and being that extra man.

3.) 27 Apr 2016 19:33:43
These fans are ruining the football.

Whoever we get will be named "tactically inept" within weeks after a 2-2 against QPR. This is confirmed. By christmas, after facing a shock defeat to Bristol City which has taken us from 6th to 8th in the table, the manager will be sacked after fans protest, and the hunt for the special blend will continue.

4.) 27 Apr 2016 20:28:01
As much as it pains me to say this, I don't think MON is the right Manager for us at this time. Basically under Fawaz any Manager coming in has one season to achieve promotion, and if he doesn't have us in the top 6 he will be gone like the rest. I think at MON's age and at this point in his career, it's not a cushy number of just keeping things going for a few seasons. There is a big job to be done at our club, and I think the time has been and gone for MON. If time was no issue, I would like to see someone like Brendan Rodgers. He built a great Swansea side, that has served them well. My second choice would be Ian Holloway. Again proven record of getting teams up, and I think he is very much a motivator which I think our current team would respond to. Third choice would be Warnock.

5.) 27 Apr 2016 21:24:01
Check out Ollies record other than Blackpool it's surprisingly poor. I too thought he had a much better portfolio.

6.) 28 Apr 2016 07:06:25
MoN definite for me. He has an over 50% win rate and has got Ireland to the Euros. He is 4 years younger than the current England manager . He would sort the club out I am sure and would not be a journeyman. Patently he is reading the rumors in the press and not denying them so is probably weighing up the offers. Remember if Derby don't get promoted - and sadly they might - they will also be looking. Looking at the last series of managers I agree the prospects are poor of attracting MoNs caliber of manager, but is a true football supporter without hope?

Just watched the mitre 2014 goal of the year via the forest you tube. Lost count how many times Paterson was mentioned and featured a few time for goals! Please watch that SP. Play him!!

RedStuart

1.) 24 Jan 2015 19:49:55
I like pato, but he doesn't track back and can't tackle. To my mind we need to loan him out to develop his play and give him some games under his belt.

2.) Done nothing to justify a start in the game time he has had this season I'm afraid

3.) Been said he,s gota big ego but I don,t see any thing wrong with that being a striker ,but now seems to lack confidence ,last season it was great to see him on the ball that,s what I go for, did most of his damage playing down the middle not on the flank , dosen,t need to go out on loan but needs his confidence restoring and that,s a good managers job.

CARLO

Hello. With regards to this embargo, can we resign players who are out of contract in the summer? Ie Eric Lichaj? Kelvin Wilson? Or offer contract extensions that are not? COYR

RedStuart

1.) Yes we can we are allowed to renew contracts

2.) 18 Dec 2014 20:58:33
Who'd want kelvin Wilson on present form. Is Vaughan up for contract too.

I think leave Brazil and JL in charge until end of season. Our only hope of attracting a good manager is to have a good structure in place. So fawaz please put your effort on finding a good CEO and good structure. A good CEO can and will attract a good coach. Fawaz you obviously can't.

I would not want Lansbury back, he obviously wanted out for a reason, so time to move on. Think we got a good fee for him. I would like to see Gardener again tho. Yes his second loan spell wasn't the best, however if MW can get him playing like he did in his first spell then he would be a good acquisition. I believe however he did sign a new contract at villa so unsure of his value, but is he surplus at villa?

Chugsy, I could not agree more. IMO if we didn't make any signing in the window so be it, as long as the structure within the club is sorted. Foundations first. Tho my feeling of the potential clough appointment is that this is the roof and fawas want to keep himself dry and deflect some pressure. However If the foundations are not correct and addressed it will all just fall down. Again. COYR.
