So is it Edu or Dyche? The wheels started to fall off with a dozen or so games to play last season. We’ve had some bright moments ie Brentford and Arsenal but mostly dire. We can’t blame Dyche for the balls up last season and the early part of this. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not necessarily backing the bloke but you can only f**k with the p***k you’ve got! A handful of those players last night wouldn’t look good playing for the Rose and Crown.
Shambles and it would be very interesting being a fly on Marinakis’ wall!

TK, SD was appointed to keep us up, I believe he will do that. As you point out the tools he was given were not of his choosing. He came in when we had been in free fall since last April and has gradually begun to turn us around. It sounds like the Braga match was very poor.
The players should be ashamed that 2, 000 came from Nottingham and they booed them twice. Last night 4 of the players starting were shoe ins for the first team. The rest starting were the bench warmers ie players mainly brought in at the beginning of the season. None of the SD out brigade have made a suggestion as to who they would bring in as an alternative.
They have to ask themselves after sacking Nuno and then Apostoglo. Which manager worth his salt would try and pick up the poison chalice which is our club atm. SD accepted the challenge I suspect out of loyalty which we should respect him for.
Although once more uncertainty once surrounds the club, so the sort of player we want will not come, unless they are looking at a final pay cheque? Luiz. So loans to the club must be key. Let’s face it we are not likely winners of the Europa cup so field the under 21s from now on. Let the first team concentrate on the premiership.

Just off the Club Shop Website. trying to flog jackets with a sweeping.
"Style and Substance for the walk to the ground jacket"
With Elliott Anderson looking mean and moody!
???
Pity you weren't that last night mate!
Or maybe, that's why he was sent off!
?????.
3.) 23 Jan 2026 19:32:46
Why does nobody blame our head of recruitment
Pedro ferriea?
4.) 23 Jan 2026 20:06:24
Just bought my Forest Pyjamas. "For that walk to the bathroom, in the middle of the night! "
???.
5.) 23 Jan 2026 20:21:52
Ferriea Has to go through edu for signings dtp. edu has last say on ins and outs also as the biggest say on managers tactics etc so ferria is just a pawn like dyche. its that simple I thought you knew a bit about football ??.
6.) 23 Jan 2026 20:30:29
Only good dribble you'll probably see this season rogie ???.
7.) 23 Jan 2026 20:48:44
Great posts all! Including you DTP. I guess the buck doesn’t always stop right at the very top of the hierarchy mate….
8.) 23 Jan 2026 21:04:34
Thers far more to it stokey and Palace didn't help by delaying the inevitable that they where guilty.
9.) 23 Jan 2026 22:11:32
I said before the start of the season DTP that regardless of which competition we were in, we should recruit quality not quantity. Say 3 or 4 not 8 or 9 or whatever. Keep a tight knit squad and re enforce in January in a measured way as circumstances pan out.
Yet, here we go again, scattergun, wasted millions and having to scrabble frantically now Jyst like under SC. Puts enormous pressure on managers especially newly arrived with no pre season to drill them.
10.) 23 Jan 2026 22:57:13
You can't just buy a couple though stokey once your in Europe and try keeping a tight knit squad
We've had loads of injuries this season but got lucky last season?
Don't you agree?
11.) 24 Jan 2026 11:24:12
DTP, it’s a great question but our recruitment should have been more nuanced and less scattergun mate. Firstly, I did say 3 or 4 quality replacements not a couple in the summer then a further 3 or 4 in January depending on developments making 8 or 9 altogether.
From what I've seen of the Europa most of the teams are Championship level with only a couple of mid to lower Prem at the “first phase”. We could have held our fire and reinforced then swapped it around as it gets more difficult after January ( like Chelsea in the Conference …. Virtually none of their big guns played in any of the opening rounds, nor did they need to). Of course, injuries are just bad luck.
You could do a Spurs and spend £60 million on Solanke who then is out for 5 months. During their Europa success under Ange they routinely had 9 or 10 players out and were lucky to stay in the Prem but gambled on a passage to the Champions League ( by the way, reverting to so called “ Dyche ball” in the final against Man Utd).
I’d have thought the recruitment team might have thought about, say, having a quality replacement for 34 year old Woody and a fading Taiwo lined up, but that was obviously not done. Instead we sign (at vast expense) Hutch, Bakwa and Ndoye as replacement for the sorely missed Elanga…… as I say, scattergun and a bit dim imo.
12.) 24 Jan 2026 13:02:13
Good post, Stokey.
Regarding the recruitment, you're correct that no striker was available to play alongside Wood/ Awonyi.
With hindsight and better recruitment, we might have finished in the top 5 and qualified for the Champions League.
Marinakis's success as both a businessman and team owner is evident.
However, the reported £200 million spent on mediocre players raises questions about the effectiveness of the recruitment process. A higher standard is warranted for future acquisitions and thorough due diligence.

Last time we had a Brazilian keeper he feigned an injury after a balls up, we never saw him again. The same has just happened, John dropped a massive clanger and goes down with a broken leg. Pathetic and embarrassing. What’s happened to coaching proper English goalkeepers instead of employing these mamby pamby foreigners.
1.) 03 Jan 2026 14:59:23
You've just seen him it was Victor at Exeter I think.
2.) 03 Jan 2026 15:14:20
Nah different flapper, was Miguel at Exeter ?.
3.) 03 Jan 2026 16:33:10
Yes, wasn't sure, took a guess?.

It's time to hold your hand up and admit your mistakes. for all your words on success, your actions over the past months are taking the club south.
Running on the pitch to confront nuno
Employing what I believe to be a very bad apple in Edu
Giving Nuno the tools to fabricate his own demise then succeeding him with an inept nob because of your Greek history, sentiments don't wash in football as you shown with nuno.
Nuno acted with petulance and immaturity in the end but can you blame him if what we are now seeing is what he had to deal with on a daily basis.
Calling for Ange to go last night I hope was out of frustration, I was there and I've never heard anger like that for a long, long time, however, he can only work with the tools he's been provided with and most I'm afraid aren't up to the challenge. I'm not saying he's the right man but the problems are deeper than just him.
1.) 03 Oct 2025 09:49:00
Very accurate.
2.) 03 Oct 2025 10:19:47
I'm sure Slot etc. could work better with those tools.

Felt proud for Garner last night. He really settled into the game and put himself about. Came on and instantly won a challenge and lifted the whole crowd. Not a first choice team but I'm not going to sit here and pick it apart. the weak links were evident but we got there in the end ??.
1.) 08 Feb 2024 10:22:40
Trees, agreed, Gardner came on and made a difference at a point in the game where we were flagging and getting over run. Great show of character, well done lad! ??????.
31 Jan 2024 16:29:48
My ten pence worth for what it's worth.
Shame to all the fans who left early and missed the goal. made the last few minutes the most exciting of the 90! Get why you did though, you just missed the best bit ?
Took my Mrs to the WFCG the first time (stags fan) and I've put her off for life!
Although I sat completely bewildered for the first half, they didn't really hurt us, yes we looked poor and I expected a drubbing but 0-0 at half time was shockingly positive.
Biggy for me again was Murillo, weaker in the air than some but as cool as a cucumber with the ball at his feet.
Stranger things have happened and on another day we could have nicked it 1-0. For all arsenals possession there chances were few and far between, so for all the negativity about the low block tactics, it could have worked were it not for 2 stupid errors. We weren't beaten by world class goals again, but avoidable individual errors.
Turner had a hole in his legs and Montiel passed completely blind leaving us in the s**t. Soon as he gave the ball away you just knew.
Some saying we should have had a free kick for there first goal but we switched off instead and Turner went home, forgetting as usual he has a job to do. Clearly been working on his kicking and his handling etc is on point but he has a f**k up in him every game. He's cost us too much now, it really is time to move on in the GK department.
Fear the worst as we all do but we keep the faith and go again, we'll all be there again next week full of hope.
COYR.

Has fan's we can only support the team the rest of the season and beyond we have no power in the decisions no matter how bad they are.
2.) 31 Jan 2024 18:19:59
Agree there mate
Saying that the atmosphere not same as last season n look how many we lost at home compared to last year, like luton now that was a massive boost.

Careful RHR. Can’t say it how you saw it. I made a similar comment below and they don’t like it ?.
29 Jan 2026 23:31:47
Yates always, Bleeds Forest. Sangare has turned into a quality player but the verdict is out with McAtee. We played Blidworth miners Welfare tonight so it’s hard to judge against that opposition. Great result however and a great night at the WFCG.

Old pick and sniff ?.

Has your carer not give you your tablets today. You talk so much bollox it’s unreal. Every week your running commentary about how rubbish they all are is laughable. You wanted MGW gone last week now he’s the only one worth keeping.
11 Oct 2025 13:26:16
All seems a little too coincidental if you ask me.
