So Fawaz has met with Nigel , but has someone else in mind as well , who might that be ?

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 29 Jan 2017 02:45:22
He is just saying that incase Nigel turns it down.

2.) 29 Jan 2017 07:21:49
The problem is Fawaz cannot afford to get it wrong this time. Also he is still being swayed by his inner circle. Who like Fawaz have no idea about football. Clough obviously told him what he wanted, but Fawaz knows he cannot deliver,

3.) 29 Jan 2017 08:03:59
Whoever comes is doomed, Nigel should stay well away.

4.) 29 Jan 2017 09:13:45
FOREVERFOREST you beat me to it but instead of telling NC he has other people to interview I would have expressed how much we wanted him. Fawaz probably thinks he is putting pressure on Nigel to sign but I think it could well put him off when all said and done nc has a loyal and respected chairman at Burton. If Burton on trent was as big as Nottingham I don't think he would consider a move at all, its that it never will be in a position to become a Premier league club. No wise cracks about Forest never will be either please.

5.) 29 Jan 2017 10:07:25
Nigel pearson must be in the frame so we may endcup with a nigel.

23 Jan 2017 21:02:54
Anybody heard anything on signing the lad from Grimsby, Omar Bogle ? Seen an interview with him on the net a few weeks ago where he was asked about joining Forest and whilst he said all the right things about just concentrating on his football with Grimsby his face lit up and it looked to me as If he couldn't wait to join Forest but since them it all seems to have gone very quiet, personally I would like to see him given a chance with us.

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 23 Jan 2017 21:29:28
The lad is now being linked with the sheep! We are a mess at the moment and as much as I hate saying it we will find it hard to compete with them for players.

2.) 23 Jan 2017 21:32:39
Watched him on Saturday v Notts and he seems a good player, solid, strong, hard working and could flourish with better quality around him. I think it would take a seven figure fee to get him so depends on if Fawaz will reinvest the money. Only problem is Derby have been linked tonight.

3.) 23 Jan 2017 21:36:31
My mate who is a big notts fan went to the grimsby game and said bogle was no great shakes but a big lad. Who looks after himself scored thou with a tap in

4.) 23 Jan 2017 21:58:10
Would like to see us go in for both Omar Bogle and Josh Morris. I expect neither would be really cheap but would think you could get the pair for what lansbury cost. Bogle being linked with Derby and Morris being linked with Bristol city.

5.) 23 Jan 2017 22:18:17
A strategy like the one when we signed holt and Tyson looks appealing right now

6.) 23 Jan 2017 23:08:29
Marty Taylor at Bristol Rovers another who can't stop scoring.

11 Sep 2016 10:16:19
Forgive me if I'm been a bit slow here but why would Fawaz sell the club for 40m when he says he has put in over 100m? I know about cutting your losses but can't imagine for a second he would go that far?

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 11 Sep 2016 12:56:22
Why would he sell now when this season we may actually have a chance of going up then he can recoup all of the money he's put in.

2.) 11 Sep 2016 13:15:24
40 mill gor the club but you inherit 100mil debt.

3.) 11 Sep 2016 13:17:23
Chance of promotion?

You see that already?

Something different is on the cards for sure but have you honestly seen levels of performance against a range of different opposition to predict we can be in with a shout of promotion.

If we are getting these results by early November expectations should rise.

At the moment we could just enjoy seeing where a different approach at the club takes us instead of the same path we've trod for many years.

4.) 12 Sep 2016 11:04:27
If he can sell the club for £40 million He would have to wright off 60 million and that would get him out of Nottingham forest otherwise He will either have to run the club down and still end up loosing money or take a loss of 100 million and give it away, taking a 60 million loss is his best option.

5.) 12 Sep 2016 13:03:48
Very surprised he didn't cash in on other players in the summer before running away! Then again, maybe none of the offers were cash up front so wouldn't have been in his best interest.

I can't see him walking away clean tho, and £40m is way off what he values the club at so wouldn't be shocked to see him keep a role and percentage at the club, promotion over the next few years, even at 20% could see him pocket £50m, on top of the £40m from Americans and the player sales, he'll be up.

6.) 12 Sep 2016 19:50:02
Agreed 2 tone, still very early in the season, Villa match really worried me, hope we can improve as the Season progresses.

7.) 12 Sep 2016 20:27:32
Rogie Red

We got beat 3-0 against Brighton, but could have been six or seven.

We got a fighting draw at Villa, we have players that are expected back soon that would most likely be in the starting line-up when match fit.

All very promising to me.

All hail Phillipe :-)

8.) 12 Sep 2016 21:19:22
Mystic you have to realise in Kuwait culture it would be thought bad to made bankrupt and not pay your debts, but if you sell your business for a loss and move to something else that is regarded as quite acceptable.

9.) 13 Sep 2016 11:52:04
Simple.

£40 million back in the pot.

New owner takes on £30 million pound loan Fawaz generously saddled the club with.

£75 million asking price almost sorted.

And Fawaz gets away from a £2 million a month loss.

10.) 13 Sep 2016 12:56:45
Taking a 60 mill loss is his best option? Big LOL haha.

11.) 13 Sep 2016 21:04:19
Is it not an investment deal?

30 Dec 2015 19:16:02
Could the player coming in early next week be Ziggy Gordon?

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 30 Dec 2015 20:07:46
right back?

2.) 30 Dec 2015 20:52:46
Doesn't he play guitar? 😃.

3.) 31 Dec 2015 12:01:54
Gordon Bennett.

4.) 01 Jan 2016 14:08:03
think he means ziggy stardust.

03 Nov 2015 22:48:35
Don't get me wrong I am starting to get a bit worried now, and whilst Dougie is far from perfect can't help feeling the players are once again shafting the club and its loyal supporters. it's not just this current group it's been going on for a while now, think they need reminding they play for Nottingham Forest it's a privilege and an honour. about time they showed some passion and pride for our great club starting Friday!

I'm not having a go at the new owners for a second as they have done wonders with the club but does anyone else share my concerns about the lack of a quality centre back coming in, I know there's still time but today I see Dean has gone to Birmingham and Hanley has gone to Norwich both of which are decent at our level and could of done a job for us, really hope the staff can pull a couple of surprise's out of the bag before the transfer window closes! A new centre back / leader and a new experienced goalkeeper would be my priority.

Morning all, with the manager saying he hoped a new signing would make his debut against Newcastle and Briddcut being cup tied, is another signing very close today? Cannot see it been the Danish goal keeper as we only submitted the bid yesterday.

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 23 Aug 2017 09:34:22
No MW did not realise that bridcutt came on as sub in the first round of this cup.

2.) 23 Aug 2017 12:11:15
With respect I find that hard to believe with the current set up we have behind the scenes, we have heard time after time from the manager about how much work goes on doing homework on each player making sure they are the correct fit for the team , character etc , you seriously telling me they didn't know Briddcut had played for Leeds in an earlier round !!!!!!

04 Aug 2017 16:59:10
Anyone know if the new owner will be attending the match tonight, if so let's make sure we give him a warm welcome. Let's get behind the team and enjoy the ride!

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 04 Aug 2017 18:12:46
I agree and I have a song for him, one of my classics
Intro. la la la la la la. ever forever and ever forever Evangelos. you've saved our club from that awful dross
Get the tricky trees back to the promised land
This is what us fans are dreaming of.

It's quite high pitched if u can remember it so u might have squeeze and cross u legs. 😉 OPA.

03 Aug 2017 18:21:04
Having seen the manager's latest interview he said he's hoping for 1 more signing before the big kick off, anyone heard anything on who it might be? Leaving it a bit late in the day now but I'm certainly not complaining the business so far has been very good, really looking forward to the season ahead . I personally think it might be a keeper with the squad numbers been given out and no one been allocated the Number 1 jersey, although a little harsh on Jordan Smith.

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 03 Aug 2017 20:21:30
You could be right and i for one don't think we need a keeper Smith is good enough.

Could be a left back? Cover needed there?

2.) 03 Aug 2017 20:22:12
Still need a central midfielder.

3.) 04 Aug 2017 09:41:51
Another DM for me.

If Bouchalakis goes down, we're left with the same ineffective midfield base that most folk walked round last season.

Vaughn maybe deserves a go under MW, but I ain't confident, given its lack of legs that's the fundamental problem with the player.

Still feels like the aim is to outscore the opposition, when we could do with addressing that goals against column.

08 Jul 2017 15:42:43
Obviously don't want Britt to leave, but if we got say £15 million for him, I am interested who would you other Reds fans think we should try and replace him with? Honestly myself I am struggling to come up with any realistic suggestions that guarantee championship goals.

FOREVER FOREST

1.) 08 Jul 2017 15:58:03
Jordan Rhodes is one who would get the goals, but would prefer to keep Britt.

2.) 08 Jul 2017 16:33:04
He hasn't managed to score many for boro or wenesday his days are gone.
Cant even get into scotland squad.

3.) 08 Jul 2017 16:43:37
Don't forget whatever we get for him Posh get 40% of it with their 'sell on' clause. So if we get 15 million for Britt it's means we get 9 million with 6 going to Posh.

4.) 08 Jul 2017 18:34:12
Is 40% like the £8million release clause?

5.) 08 Jul 2017 23:01:58
Doubt very much itd be 40%, where do you get this nonsense from?

6.) 09 Jul 2017 15:06:12
Off this board FF79 but then again it is a rumour site!

7.) 09 Jul 2017 18:02:56
Got that right mate no offence.

If this is correct then Fawaz Al-Hasawi hang your head in shame, don't ever repeat the words I love this club, I want wants best for the club, you are an utter disgrace .

Totally agree why would anybody currently want to become our manager in the current situation, but let's just stop for a second and think about what we are saying here with all respect to Barnsley, that their manager wouldn't want to leave them and manager Nottingham Forest, what a sad state of affairs, I fear very dark days ahead for this once great club.

It doesn't matter if he appoints a CEO and a finance director if he hasn't learnt his lessons from the past, if he continues to overrule and try and do everything his way instead of trusting people who actually know what they are doing it's all going to end in tears again . Paul Faulkner is a perfect example ran Aston Villa fine came to us Fawaz interfered and he left, he is going to have to stop interfering if ever things are going to change for the better.

With respect yes we are currently one a bad run but I feel that people see Lansbury through rose tinted glasses, I'm not saying he's a bad player buy any stretch but I don't believe he is as good as everyone seems to think . For me he only turns it on when he feels like it or his contract is up for renewal ! If he were that good a player he would surely be attracting interest from bigger clubs with respect than Burnley, Watford and Derby . Take the first half against Newcastle whilst it was 11 v 11 he didn't get near their midfields and they are hardly world beaters, just saying !

I mean no disrespect to either Northern Ireland or Nottingham Forest when I say this but I would like Micheal o Neil to be given a go . I would say both sets of players are of a similar level , and o Neil did wonders with Northern Ireland . Failing that pheraps a bit unrealistic Martin o Neil & Roy Keane

With respect , have you just watched the same game as me , apart from the first 15 minutes that was poor. Same old problems , soft defensively, thought it was a bit slow on the build up tonight I'd like to see things moved forward with a bit more zip , Murphy took his goal well but apart from that had little to no help up top what so ever . Also the managers substitutions baffled me why change like for like why not get Cummings on & go 4 4 2 when you need to get back into the game ?

I'm sorry but if we sold Britt for 10m we would be a laughing stock as we were last season, I exept difficult desisions have to be made but as I have posted before goal scorers are like gold dust if we have to sell it MUST NOT be for a penny less than 15m, especially as Posh have a sell on clause .

I take no plesure in saying this but personally I think we are going to be on the wrong end of a thrashing, yes the manager has made some mistakes but it's hard to want him to get the sack when he seems such a decent bloke, I know being a decent bloke doesn't get you good results and he picks the players but for years there has been too many players coming to Forest for a easy pay day and not caring about this once great club . ITS ABOUT TIME THE PLAYERS STOOD UP AND TOOK SOME RESPONSIBILITY AND STARTED TO PERFORM.
