Well who would have believed it. Tonight we could sink into the bottom 3. Weren't we there when SD took over? He pulled us out and we were battling and I feel we would be in a safer position today if not for impatience, stupidity and lack of loyalty. If we get relegated then SD would be the best bet to get us up again. This incumbent won't. To think what marinakis was hoping to build after promotion, " we will win trophies " well we haven't and we won't. As I see it his dream is in tatters and a return to moderation is looming. FFP will be after us if relegated, just look at Leicester, they aren't exempt from making poor decisions.
We scraped into this league and we rode our luck to the pinnacle of last season then marinakis the hot head through poor decision after poor decision has destroyed the buoyant crest of a wave created by probably one of the decisions he got right. But he couldn't let it rest he had to be involved to the detriment of team and manager. Remember he was found guilty of spitting towards an official, how awful. I dread to think what his next move will be if we're relegated. The scrutiny and potential punishments will make us unattractive to sell and certainly the megga mugs will be gone. Yes these are exciting times ahead for all the wrong reasons.

Who's looking forward to tonight. Got my recliner and beers ready. Watch MGW, Anderson and Murillo turn up tonight. I'm going for 1-1, Man City home goal. .edu out.
2.) 04 Mar 2026 10:52:42
Got to go for that 1-1, and will our nearly gone/going players impress? (Not sure who they want to impress, though).
Keef, retiring to Norfolk? Join the 'work from beach' brigade that have been here since Covid, in the cafes as well with laptops and briefcases.
PS Get used to roadworks/tractors!
3.) 04 Mar 2026 12:51:41
I'm afraid Norfolk may be cheap because it has such poor infrastructure. Roads, schools, hospitals, etc. are all poor. I worked there nine years, but wisely chose to live outside the county.

Yes. Shame, it is beautiful, but the culture and aspiration here are somewhere in the fifties!

I wonder how this managerial appointment is going to work out. Judging by results and players attitude nothing has changed. None of the players had their usual cutting edge pace. Was it lack of fitness or mindset. The bench looked dull and not interested. The players don't seem at one with peirera. Would you want him at the helm if we get relegated? I cannot see where the next prem league win is coming from. I said before the wolves game that a draw would be acceptable where I got shot down. It wasn't SD fault that we didn't score but we didn't concede and that was crucial. We were in disarray at the back yesterday and that is where you need your base.
If Dyche was still in charge we would be better off going into the final quarter and better prepared for a return if relegated. Marinakis will set another new record if we lose another match and a new man will be given a contract till the end of the week. Marinakis had dug his own grave with his petulance and pandering to the judas' in the garibaldi. Peirera looked lost and out of his depth again yesterday and I can't see him turning this ship around. Expect an interim high profile caretaker in before season end.

Good post, Rutland. I've been saying this for some time, mate. As a passionate Forest fan, I always saw Dyche, with his long and successful record of either getting struggling teams back into the top flight, then keeping them there, as our best bet of survival. Especially at this business end of the season, picking up the pieces of a long succession of very poor decisions by our over-ambitious, quick-fix, and reckless owner.
His record shows he was on the way to doing this at Forest when he was sacked.
I think quite a few scales are falling from quite a few eyes on here.
However, Pereira is a good manager and I have faith he can get us over the line this season, then see where we go from there.
2.) 02 Mar 2026 10:55:09
Good post, Stokey. I agree that Vitor is a good coach, and, given the hand he's dealing with, it requires guts and thick skin.
Gamblers often don't win, so take heed, Mr. Marinakis. And, to add, I'd forget about your new stadium at this point in time.
01 Mar 2026 17:08:20
The minute marinakis called the players to him highlighted the disdain he has for his managers. The players should have been Spartans, support the boss. Dyche may have been awkward but he knew what he was doing. Marinakis is a hot headed looney gun slinger shooting from the hip with wall eyes. Peirera will not see the season out as I saw more weakness than strength. Our defence in dissary and a total lack of effort and cohesion.
Playing out from the back was clueless and turgidly dangerous. MGW gave it everything but generally lacked composure again. As for our free kick specialist don't make me laugh. No Lucca even in the squad and again playing with wingers, stupidity. I don't care if we get relegated because the owner has blown any credibility we earned last season. He destroyed nuno and Dyche. Unforgivable.
1.) 01 Mar 2026 17:16:18
I agree with most of this, sadly. I agree the owner is totally to blame. We look like a clown outfit. Bakwa and Lucca are useless. We have a coach who cannot see the tactical needs of our side, or where we are in the league. Brighton outfoxed us and outplayed us in every area.
Why we didn't bring Dominguez on after half-time, I'll never know. He would be a better winger than Bakwa any day. If the answer was Ndoye and Bakwa, then the question was not even understood.
2.) 01 Mar 2026 17:51:49
Remember Nuno's results went downhill around this time last year. However Big M rewarded him with a 3 yr contract, ie he wanted him to stay and rated his abilities. A serious rift occurred early in the season. We can only suppose what went on between them, but you cannot put all the blame on Big M; it was 50/50, I expect. Then, really, player power took over; they wouldn't play to the Australians' tune and rejected SD's approach, yet SD was a step up. Big M failed to consult the right players, ie Chris Wood. He, I am sure, has advisors on the ground who must have fed him negative vibes re SD.
One must not forget he bankrolls all these players, had given to charity and even gone a long way down updating the ground - may never come to fruition, of course. Those with longer memories may remember the Fawaz era, the Portuguese imports etc. To be careful what you wish for is a common statement on this site. But we have seen a gradual stepping down of able managers being appointed; let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. Big M has sunk millions into our club of his own money, so let's respect that.
3.) 01 Mar 2026 17:53:35
Big M has done a lot of good for the club. But his appointments and decisions will see us go down.
4.) 01 Mar 2026 17:53:37
It has to be said, some of Dyche's tactics were bizarre? Abbot at RB and Dominguez down the right V Leeds?
5.) 01 Mar 2026 18:36:27
I would have hoped, after today's result, Mr M will have digested the fact that we're going to be relegated, and now is the time to start planning for the event. The back-stabbing five won't be playing any part in our fight next season. Sack Edu, we don't want any of his rubbish. We need players who can put a Full shift in and stay on their feet.
We should have a look at the teams being promoted. They always shed a few players not deemed good enough for the prem; throw in the cream from the academy, along with the remaining first team, and we might have a chance. I find myself clutching at straws, but I love my club.
6.) 01 Mar 2026 19:25:02
Oh and bring back Cooper, he's the only one who is capable of getting us back up first time.
7.) 01 Mar 2026 19:35:22
Why would Cooper want to come back after being sacked by Big M. And why would Big M have him back, knowing he's not good enough to get this team anywhere near a European place when we get back in the Premier League. Let's move on from past managers and past players who fans want as managers. Just sack Edu.
8.) 01 Mar 2026 20:23:18
Any better suggestions, Skeggs? I can't think of any decent coach wanting to come to Forest, and get us back in the prem at the first attempt.
9.) 02 Mar 2026 14:18:16
Well, Dyche got teams promoted to the top flight (Watford and Burnley), and kept them there. But that ship has sailed, unfortunately.

Talking about playing 2 up front tonight highlights whst I think are our areas of confusion. We play with 2 wingers and 2 attacking fullback. We overload the wide positions and have no one in the middle driving into the box.
Certainly no one in the sense that Jayzoos is too small a too slow. Our great down the middle is minimal. So with lucca and one other maybe a 3 5 2 formation crossing it early to on rushing strikers might reap some rewards.
1.) 26 Feb 2026 16:55:25
Jesus has scored 7 goals in Europe. He clearly isn't too bad to score goals in Europe.
24 Feb 2026 09:32:56
I know YouTube is not generally the way to judge a player. However has anyone on here had a look at Lucca and his goals last season? Bulket headers quick feet at getting a shot away. Great running, timing. Everything we need for way we try to play. He needs game time and a bit of love.
I believe we have a proper striker on our hands but feel we will blow it and our chances by not committing to him. On the break early crosses and thus man will deliver. Our problem since wood injury is we break and fart about delivering am aimless cross to no one in particular.

Very good point. You couldn't make it up. I didn't think it would happen again until SD got called back to the ground. What a shabby, undignified sacking. I think the soul is being ripped out of the club.
When you hear MGW after the first match in Fenerbache saying "we are really buying into the manager's ideas", then it says they didn't buy into SD. Were they even trying? Unprecedented.
28 Feb 2026 10:08:19
It's a difficult one. You look at his 14 goals and you see a clinical, positive striker. He scores a great goal against Leeds. Are we playing to his strengths? One thing for sure, effort is a given at any level.
I have not seen much of him, as I don't have tnt. I still think we dither too long in wide positions and should get the crosses in early, like Hutchinson did at Leeds. We might see a different player.
24 Feb 2026 13:11:13
Munmad, do you ever read my posts?
23 Feb 2026 09:07:35
Yesterday, starting with 2 wingers was the perfect scenario for Lucca. I'm sorry, but the rhetoric aimed at Wood was exactly the same on here, yet he just kept banging them in. To start with, Christopher almighty was a wasted opportunity. Jesus just cannot pre-empt or make deft moves to lose his marker, where Wood was the master at that. If you watch the goals Lucca scored last season, you can see he has this ability and can head a ball.
He just needs to be picked, or if he is no good, then why put him on the bench? Bakwa, ffs, taking off Hutchinson for that? Did you notice how MGW faded drastically? Once his running goes, he offers nothing. What yesterday needed was Lucca in for Jayzoo, and a midfield pushing right up, supporting and getting accurate shots off.
22 Feb 2026 18:47:09
Been saying it for months rhr. He shoite and the fact he started shows stupidity from the manager. What erks me also is still our crap delivery and inability to deal with crosses. Our balls into the box are aimless whereas Liverpool were so accurate.
