Another GK: Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez would be open to the idea of a move to Nottingham Forest, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds are in the market for a new goalkeeper ahead of Tuesday's 11pm deadline, and Sanchez has been made available by Chelsea.

Sanchez is an interesting one, he literally swings from the sublime to clown on a weekly basis. Definitely a decent keeper in there somewhere, but it's whether he could actually settle himself down when he's got a settled defensive unit in front of him. 🌳

Morato is not as bad as people think. He'd be a monster in the Championships. He got the most accurate passes per 90 mins of any Forest player apart from Anderson (more than Murillo) last season.

For the Everton deal for Armstrong - now called off - apparently Aina was part of the deal, with him possibly leaving Forest to Everton.

Would have been a real shame in my view, one of our best players and I’ve always felt like he has real quality (Munoz incoming of course).

Forest looking to complete three deals before transfer window slams shut.

A new number one GK is being sought to provide a step up from Mats Sels. Giorgi Mamardashvili has been linked but it is thought this might be a smokescreen. If this deal is not possible, the backup is Aaron Ramsdale from Southampton, having been loaned to Newcastle last season.



After Armstrong deal collapsed, the new CM targeted to replace Anderson is Hugo Larsson from Eintract Frankfurt.

Lastly, Forest are back in for Dodo and are confident in getting this over the line before the deadline.

There is no step up for Matt Sels, imo; he is a top echelon goalkeeper for us. Which is why I never thought Henderson would ever sign for us. Neither goalkeeper would want to sit on the bench.
By the way, having watched numerous replays, Sels wasn't responsible for Isak's goals.

It was a perfect pass across the box. It's just what world-class players can do.
The spotlight is always on goalkeepers. No one is perfect, though, as shown by Leeds' winner last week. 99 times out of a hundred, Sels would get that.

This caught my eye as he is a CM and a RB. If Williams left, we need both a midfielder and a WB.

They were also talking to Andre for Corinthians. But they often take a year to settle after moving from South America, and I think Corinthians want him to stay until the end of the Brazil season in December.
