I haven't posted for a while but still look occasionally and tbh the site is shocking now. Completely ruined by a few posters who are either self promoting or trying very hard to portray themselves as superior to others. There's always going to be a few disagreements and arguments and that's one of the things that made the site worth looking at but once the comments were more about people's everyday life or what literature they read the football site just died.

If people had read the room it would still be ticking over nicely. Some decent, knowledgeable football fans have been ridiculed whilst others have quoted tosh to explain how a team won or lost a game of football.

Good to see you post again 2 Tone. I've been reading your posts for a long time now - well before I even became a member of this site. I've always thought that you talk a lot of sense.
There is, however, nothing wrong with people defending themselves when others take it beyond Forest banter and turn it into personal rebukes on other individuals on here.

Should those under personal attack just roll-over and accept that? I won't. (Stevie will get it from his past.).
We all love Forest. End of. Maybe now a certain person has left, things will now get back to 'normal' on here. I hope so.

The best way to move forward on this imo is to respectfully request our long suffering Ed to organise a poll and resolve things through good old democracy.

A simple poll. perhaps along the lines of
. " This site's posts should consist of
A. Strictly football only posts or
B Football and other posts.

Also with a seperate question
A Personal remarks should be banned
B Personal remarks should be allowed

? What do you think ?

I agree 2tone, though most posters are ok there is one in particular who says things from behind the anonymity of a keyboard that he wouldn't dare says to my face.
I attend matches like he does, offered to meet him many times to straighten things out.

But he never will. The site was a laugh (yes even you skegs) ?? but not anymore. I rarely post now, one person about ruined it for everyone and we all know who it is.

{Ed033's Note - It seems posters leave because of the Personal remarks. On the other football sites, they talk 95%+ about football.

On this site it's different however, from now on we can have rumours on the Rumour page, football related content on the Banter page, non football related content on the Discussion page.

Eds, I take it that the issue about the manipulation of polls raised by Skegs can be controlled at your end mate ie one man one vote ?
Also, as I remarked to Larry, shall we leave it to the Eds ( men of wise and mature judgment) to decide which post goes where?

Did not interact very much with DTP, but read his posts with interest, the ones before he was dragged into bickering debates, he had a opinion about Sels, Nuno and would have liked to see his opinion about Jesus, who he said would be a goal machine this season ( still time?), if the Eds banned him there's still a few agitators on here.
