Just got back off holiday hence the late reaction to the sacking of Vitor Pereira. The best manager we have had for many many years, the man who saved our club from relegation. The man who almost won the Europa League but for a huge injury list. The man who brought the players and fans together to believe. The man who played attacking football to save us with a smile on his face. The man who gave us stability after the managerial circus we have just been through.

The promise of a deserved new contract, only to sacked by E-mail. For the first time ever in my sixty seven years of supporting Forest, I felt ashamed and disgusted of the club. I understand it is Marinakis' club and have always been grateful for his financial backing but the way he betrayed Vitor Pereira is dreadful. His own goals at the club are numerous, like four managers this season, but nothing compared to this. Shameful.

I thoroughly agree with your post, Rutland. It's an absolute disgrace, mate. Mr M, as you say, has brought money to the club, but no stability and no class whatsoever.

Sorry, Retford!

It's about time fans realise that it's the Premier League, and it's a ruthless business where there's billions of pounds involved. Maranakis wants the club to be the best and be involved in the best competitions in Europe. It's his money and his business at the end of the day.

If you don't want to be involved in supporting a club that deals in the 100s of millions being spent, and you're not happy, do what Gazzi does, go and watch grassroot football. Simple, really.

You know what, Retford, it's like we've won the jackpot with Pereira, then decided to stake it all on another roll of the dice. Stupidity doesn't begin to describe it imo.

What I don't understand is why people on here are not allowed to criticise M without getting hassled themselves. It happens each time, pretty much.
How anyone can defend Mr M so completely, as many do on this site, I find odd. It is possible to support his investment (and be grateful for it), to like aspects of his passion, and to support his investment, but also be critical of him.
Myself, I hate how the club appears to be run, and how he brings it into disrepute (in my view).
No, we are not in the Championship or even League 1, but we've had 3 relegation scraps in 4 years despite huge investment and more managers than the Queen Vic.

So does his 'I'll do what I want' approach actually work? That's the intriguing question. Personally, having been promoted, I'm not sure it does, which is why, again, it's totally fine to be critical of him and the way he controls the club (and the way it appears to act). How they look like they treated VP is another example.
Let's see if it works. I'm not sure it will. Even if it does work, you can still not like the way things are done.

I'm not defending Mr M. If you'd have read a post of mine the other day, I did say if he messes up with Glasner, then he's an idiot. But all the moaning and whinging fans are doing, for a bloke that's trying to get Forest to be a top 6 club is ridiculous.

It's like reading an article from Dear Deidre. I can understand if he sacked Pereira for someone like Dyche, but Glasner is one of the best managers in the Premier League, so stop your crying, please.

All very heart wrenching, Retford, but he aint as good as Glasner. It's that simple.

I don't think I'm crying, and your reply kind of makes my point for me.

This site has become somewhat poisonous and all the worst for it.

I've supported the club for 40 years but I'm leaving this site now.

I left it c10 years ago because it got like this, and it hasn't really changed.

Thank you to the Ed for his very hard work, it is appreciated.

Stay classy all and goodnight.

You leaving, Agen, will be disastrous for this site, mate. Your posts, including the latest ones above, are brimful of common sense and wisdom. As always. I fully understand your reasoning... a sad loss, and I urge you to reconsider. ??

05 Jul 2026 15:28:19
Hey Stellaboy, that's what I've done. I've blocked you so I can't read what you put. ? You're right though, when we're away, I do go to some excellent non league matches.

13.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 15:55:04
Thanks Gazzi, I thought about blocking everyone so I could just see my own comments, as I'm always right. ? But it will only let you go back a few. I might have a few runs up to Lincoln this season. 3 quid on the bus, plenty of cheap places to drink in Lincoln, and probably some good games to watch.

14.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 16:03:32
It's a ridiculous statement about Vitor anyway. It's like. That Cortina I had served me well. Got me to Cornwall & back for 5 yrs, then the Mrs got rid & brought me a Mercedes, outrageous behaviour. ??‍♂️ ??

15.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 16:49:34
Stellaboy, I recommend Lincoln United (Northern Premier League East) cracking little stadium. Tenner to get in, including a pint.

What's your wife got to do with anything skeg?
I thought your deidre was out in the shed ironing your deckchairs or collecting donkey rubbish off the beach? ??

Is this the Glasner whose side finished one place and one point above a side who struggled all season? Did a great job at Palace then didn't he? Pereira did us proud, and the way he got the bullet was disrespectful. Time will tell, but I ain't that keen on him.

19.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 17:46:15
Spot on Perko, bud. ? Get your ass back on agen.

20.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 17:59:23
That would be the Glasner that got Palace to win the FA Cup Charity Shield, then had his best players sold from under him. He stayed on a season, and still won them the Euro. He could have thought to himself, 'I don't give a crap.' So we will see, won't we.

21.) 05 Jul 2026

I've found something better to do. ????????

22.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 18:03:19
As usual, a ridiculous statement Larry. That " Cortina" had got the fans and players onside, the team playing great football, ( sorry, actual stats again, lost on you I know) goals for and against, extrapolated over the season gets us a Champions League place, and Semi final of Europa despite injuries to key players.
Feel good factor up and running and then our Glorious Leader pulls a stunt like this and in a manner that abysmal.

I wish Glasner well and I support the incumbent Forest manager whoever is, but that " Cortina" has won more trophies than the "Mercedes" 8 v 6.
Own goal in my view.
And while I'm on, well done to Skeggs on losing the site an eminently sensible poster in Agen.
The Skegness attention seeking retarded knuckle draggers strike again. It's not as if either of you are Forest supporters is it?

Look Jay, now listen here my donkey riding, waltzer boy friend, I don't like his hair do, I'm not that keen on his gormy face or sly looking smile and i really don't like the fogie clothes that he wears on match day. He's a gooch and that's that.

05 Jul 2026 19:25:04
DTP, I don't know where you get this "reel you in" from, mate. I love debunking myths and calling out foolish untruths. Or, even better, destroying untenable arguments with a few well chosen facts or stats. I'd do it all day, every day given the chance. It's what healthy debate is all about, isn't it?

Gentleman, today I found the solution to watching late night games and not feeling touchy or bitchy the next day. Here's how it works.
1: Take the hound out on an epic Sunday walk across the moors, stretch those legs and get the kilometres in.

2: Put the F1 on with the intention of watching the whole race.
3: Nod off before the cars even make the grid.
4: Wake up at teatime, long after the race has finished.
5: Open that crate of beer and prepare the recliner for the next late rollacoaster ride.

28.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 19:41:07
Don't confuse them with the facts, Perko. The knuckle draggers on the East Coast can't cope with that sort of stuff.

29.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 19:49:18
Oi, im very much East Coast. ??

Skegs, Palace sold 2 players Madike and Eze to Arsenal for a combined £115 million. They had to. Palace had to balance the books, and the players wanted to leave.
As I've said before, Glasner won the Conference, which I reckon I could have done with a Pork Butcher's eleven. He's still behind VP in terms of major trophies won.

Incidentally, he got Larsen and Johnson for a combined £70 million, which is about their true level.
I really hope OG does well and he hasn't just come to us in desperation because the big clubs Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City didn't fancy him.

31.) 05 Jul 2026
05 Jul 2026 20:14:36
I'm sure he was really excited about their signings, especially Johnson. ?? And if he was after big bucks, he could have gone to Red Bull, where Klopp is leaving for a job at Germany. Who'd have thought it? A German manager going for the German job. I thought they might have gone for someone English, like Super Cooper. ???
