Mcgugan is reported to be homesick and he wants to make a return to the city ground

No he is not he likes St Albans he still lives in Ruddington but stays in St Albans I have tried to convince him to come back but for now he is There. I will keep trying though he would be ace behind a lone striker and he still gets on well with the other lads.

He's good for bringing offthe bench for last 20 mins but I would rather Lansbury to start games in the attacking mid role.

3.) 15 Apr 2014
Fact is he would walk straight back into our midfield, which says more about Billy Davies inability to take us forward than Lewis McGugans ability.

4.) 15 Apr 2014
This is rubbish - his wife and kids live near me with their kids in the same school as mine no where near ruddington. He is home sick though as his family are still up here but my wife told me they are probably going to move south.

Scored a good goal against us from a free kick early in the season but did little else. Has always been lazy. Wish him well but hope he stays at Watford

6.) 15 Apr 2014
Would love lewis back. One of those rare players that get you excited when on the ball.

7.) 16 Apr 2014
McGugan's lazy and we are well rid of him, I wish him well at Watford but really hope we don't see him back at the CG, we have enough players on high wages who contribute very little as it is. Yes he scores spectacular goals, but not enough of them to make up for his laziness, lack of tracking back etc.

8.) 16 Apr 2014
Lewis McGugan, your time is up at the City Ground. No thanks, have got better now with Reidy and Lansbury, Mackie and Pato and let's not forget Abdoun. Would much rather get Vaughan in on a permanent than McGugan.

Are you sure its that he can't find McDonalds and Burger King so easy?

10.) 16 Apr 2014
I'm sure some of the fans not wanting mcgugan back would have been happy to have him in midfield during our injury crisis?

Lewis mcgugan ain't married and definitely ain't got kids so don't no where one of the above posts has come from. he's happy where he is and often commutes down to watford for training and games.

12.) 16 Apr 2014
If he is homesick at his age then he has not mature enough to play week in week out for any top side.
No thank you.

13.) 16 Apr 2014
Take it by your nametag that your not the homesick type but some of us are still mummies boys at heart. :-)

14.) 16 Apr 2014
Don`t want him back, lazy, inconsistent and poor attitude to much of the time. (but annoyingly brilliant on rare occasions)

15.) 16 Apr 2014
I'm pretty sure he had his chance at Forest and he went missing too much for my liking.

16.) 16 Apr 2014
Yeh he went missing from the starting line up when billy only used him as a supersub. He was one of the few players we have had that could turn a game on its head in the blink of an eye.

17.) 16 Apr 2014
Played his best football at forest, went down hill at Watford, can't even get 90mins has not improved can stay where he is thanks

18.) 17 Apr 2014
Annoys me so much when people claim McGugan's lazy. Hoddle was lazy, as was Le Tissier - both of them were match winners though, as is Lewis at this level. I saw a stat, if you took away his goals for us last year, we'd have been 19th I think. Give me him over the useless '100%' players like Majewski who digs holes and hide in them for 90 mins. Sorry Ed haven't signed up yet, will get round to it soon

{Ed034's Note - mcgugen is not good enough to be able to be lazy, that is the problem

19.) 17 Apr 2014
On the flip side, its no good running round and tracking back giving 100% if you havn't got any quality to go with it.

{Ed034's Note - mcgugen was average with his distribution of the ball, very rarely created anything and was lazy. the reason most fans don't see this is it is masked by the odd great goal.
im not saying at this level he doesn't do a job, but he isn't the player some fans make him out to be.
saying that id rather he was playing than radi lol

Think some fans seem to be reflecting on the past and not reading the post. He wants to come back.
I sill say he was always lazy but do recognise the good that he did.
The point is would bringing him back improve our side when we have our players back as it looks like we will?
Not a chance
Respect to him but not a good move if we want to go forward.

21.) 17 Apr 2014
He would have improved the side that's been put out in the last couple of months that's for sure. he would struggle to get a start with everyone fit but what if we get injuries again?

Yeah he would be a good player to bring on or to use if we end up with all these injuries.
Can't see him wanting to be a "just in case player" or Forest wanting to pay fee and wages for another bench warmer.
