Does anyone Know why Leicester fans hate us so much?
I bumped into one the other day and he was trying to dish it out as if we were big rivals. I tried to explain to him that we don't see the the fox cubs as major rivals as we already have derby as our big rivals. I don't know why but he got all upset and I didn't even say anything about them only getting 1 point of us this season.
Is it a bit like England and Scotland do you think?how we don't mind the scots but they hate us. Any ideas?
1.) Think they're jealous that the big midlands derby is forest v derby and that our club has history and tradition. Whereas what they've just done is just about they're greatest ever achievement!
2.) They are jealous. Best way to deal with is ignoring them, don't be negative or give opinions.
And before any genius suggests why would they be jealous, I mean from an historical basis.
Until they win Champions League twice they are nothing to us.
3.) Not living in the city or county I have more banter with Leicester fans than derby as i'm surrounded by them, its purely down to jealousy and them looking up to us as the bigger, more successful neighbours. let them have their moment they deserve it for the way they've played this season but i'm pretty sure it will be short lived
Ps although they deserve it on performances this season what they have been allowed to do behind the scenes to local fans and businesses is disgusting.
4.) I can't say why fester hate us apart from geography, but the reason the Scots hate us goes back hundreds of years too things like the battle of colodan (sorry that's spelt so wrong)lol.
5.) Leicester have always seen us as their biggest game as we see the sheep as our's.
6.) They feel left out I suppose - two company threes a crowd sort of thing. It makes things worse for them that we don't really have any emotions about them ( which I think is great!) plus there is no historical connection really like we have with that bunch of sheep.
7.) Coventry city should be their their big rivals but I think it has to be they are jealous of our past achievements & we are seen as the big team in the east midlands, but fair play to them for what they did this season I don't give two stuffs about them its the sheep I can't stand hope they fail in the play offs
8.) Can you imagine how frustrating it is for them. Having a rivalry with a club and supporters who couldn't give a hoot about them. It's a bit sad having a one way rivalry.
9.) Foxes v Oakham is the big one in the South Midlands derby. No wonder they are so jealous!
10.) They hate us because we don't hate or care about them.
They are insignificant to us.
Good season they've had though so well done to them.
11.) I have a few friends who live in Oakham and support Leicester.
Just thought i'd share that fact.

I live in oakham and its full of festa divs they hate Forest so much its funny we only hate derby but I hate them both let's hope sheep shaggers do a festa in play offs like last year and festa get the worst team in prem history and go back down and The mighty Forest go up Happy Days C. O. Y. R :-)

What was Collins doing. When you are a central defender you clear crosses you don't stop and put your arms out allowing forward to score from behind you. That was Sunday league defending.
Vaughan just looks at a different level to the rest. Glad we have him.
1.) Surely that was just poor and can't be bothered defending from Collins for their winning goal.
2.) He was waiting for Darlow to claim it as he would normally but then forgot it was de Vires in goal who does not come off his line with the same confidence!
3.) Like I said, poor defending.
4.) He was waiting for someone else to do his work for him then. That's not good enough. Again ball in the box a defender should deal with it unless keeper calls for it.

5.) Collins is woeful yes, but why has no one mentioned Harding being at fault for the last goal?Harding was watching there striker and should of shouted Collins, or even better made an attempt to get goal side of the striker. in stead he just strolled back and let Collins take the blame. they were both at fault but in my opinion Harding could see everything and should of acted on it. Collins struggles to see the game out the front of his head never mind seeing it out the back of his head.

With all the good young players we now have coming through and the one we lost (Branford) goes to show what a good job doughty did sorting out our academy it proves him right about the good crop of youngsters we had on the way.

That's that then.
Just shows how our season gone we only had one player today that played in reverse fixture. No wonder our results have been patchy.
I look forward to seeing what psycho does with the team over the summer.

I have to disagree. I can't see his age being an issue at 29.Any good team will have a mixture young and older players as experience can be invaluable. I don't know about his injury history though as that could be an issue at forest.

I couldn't agree more. Veldvick was a donkey who could not head a ball and was not upto championship level. NB is a better option who has played at a much higher level than ours and hopefully feels he has a point to prove. The idea is to sign players better than you have and other than losing Burke I think we have done that. Really looking forward to seeing how we do over next 5 or 6 games.

did any of the teams that finished in the top six last season have Lansbury in there team? If we sold him we can still get top six if we have a good replacement or plan in place to play without him. I don't think we will finish top six with or without but do think we will slowly improve as a club not just team.
