A few people have told me Abdoun is back training with the first team. Has anyone heard this?

i havnt got a problem with it providing the squad are ok with it and he s willing to be involved in what fawaz and pearce are trying very hard to achieve

If we can't shift him we should try and get him training with the first team to see how he reacts and if it's positive get him more involved as it's a lot of wages to be paying for him to be out of the squad, may as well get some use out of him. pearce will sort his head out and get him playing. its hard to sell a player that doesn't play who is on massive wages. play him in the cup or something.

I think he is massively talented and can do great things with a football but he sounds like he needs a Pyscho boot up his Harris. Let's hope he gets a grip and understands what's needed. Be a good player to bring on?

Got no time for the guy personally, brings very little to the party. Would rather watch him rot in the reserves than risk the spirit Pearce has built.

Oakhamred- he won't be sold if he doesn't play. if rumours are to be believed Paterson has had an attitude problem over the last month after not being played so he's in the same boat. he needs to play to get a buyer. paterson will get his chance.
As someone said I would rather abdoun come on in stead of McLaughlin.

Cjay don't be so daft - you can't pay him that sort of money and let him rot in the reserves that's an insult to our reserve players who are doing the right thing.
We do need a 'water boy' though :)

He's confirmed as training and also confirmed as Pearce telling him he is not part of his plans.

I know you can never say never in football but it's a sure bet that we'll never see him in a Forest shirt again

Everyone deserves a second chance. If he proves he's changed and has apologised for his previous behaviour then give him a chance. He's costing a lot of money after all. You could easily dump him out the team if he starts acting like an person again

I agree that he's too expensive not to play.

I think gentle reintegration with the new team and allow him to earn his place. Surely some games in the reserves to get his fitness up and then in to the 1st team if, AND ONLY IF, he deserves it with both ability and attitude.

Failing that, we'll have a player that is short of match fitness that we're paying a fortune to that we want to sell/move on but isn't in the shop window.

He needs to play, showcase his ability in order to engineer that move away. It's galling to say it after everything I've heard from Ed but the lad needs to be on the pitch in order for us to move him on.

Half a season of good performances as a league sub or cup starter could see us rid by February.

I agree NE red - get him on the pitch at every available moment, passing the footballers their bottles of lucozade which they need to refuel after putting effort in! (sorry Ed-other isotonic drinks are available) :)

He won't be involved. He's here for the money. He doesn't want to knuckle down. He doesn't want a second chance - he wants to leave.

The sooner this happens the better for all parties.
