Hearing that QPR are interested in Ward and Mancienne.

1978

1.) 02 Jul 2018 18:45:46
Good luck to both players but once this window is closed we will have better player than the pair of them.

2.) 02 Jul 2018 21:54:49
Flog em for a pound a piece.

3.) 03 Jul 2018 09:03:37
Should fetch around a million combined?

12 Dec 2016 15:55:37
Goalkeeper very indecisive Cash young and may progress to be a good player but not a full back Mills and Perquis solid but always prone to a mistake Eric not a left back Mancienne not a midfielder but a very good sweeper being played out of position to accommodate Perquis Kasami very poor can't pass the ball and is too slow. Lam, not a midfielder . Thinks He is better than He is. Bendtner past his best.

Caryol not up to standard passing poor and so is his judgement as to who to pass it to Osbourne The only player to keep going for the whole game. PM might be a good manager but needs to adapt to the EFL ways of playing.

1978

1.) 12 Dec 2016 17:04:45
Not much I disagree with there 1978. How Vaughan can't get a start is beyond me. Lam and Kasami offer very little.

2.) 12 Dec 2016 17:32:40
agree - Kasami, Lam, Carayol extremely poor. Bendtner average. Vaughan and Hobbs are better than any of these but the manager doesn't fancy them. Without Assombalonga and Lansbury we look unimpressive. Could have lost by more, at least Cash and Osborn gave it a go. Get rid of the deadweights and bring in some more youth players, they couldn't be any worse.

3.) 12 Dec 2016 20:07:18
Carayol shouldn't wear the Garibaldi again. He never broke into a sweat. Either he's got a fitness problem or somebody needs to explain to him what a sheep v Forest match means.

4.) 12 Dec 2016 20:57:38
If Carayol was any good we would not have got him on a free transfer from Boro
As with Bendtner if He was any good He wold have found a bigger club than ours
The same could be said for Mills Perquis Storkavich, Lam Licha
It seems like we are a dumping ground for the sick and elderly. I wonder if Fawaz had done a deal with Dept for work and pensions.

5.) 13 Dec 2016 10:39:55
What did you expect for a bunch of freebies? Unfortunately we are in a position where we can't spend millions on players like derby can. A bit harsh to criticise them all against a better side. Kasami and Carayol are probably the two I agree most on, Kasami is one of the worst CMs I've ever seen. I still think Bendtner has potential, and at times has shown his brilliance, but there's only so much a lone striker can do. He's only just come back from injury too, remember.

6.) 13 Dec 2016 14:39:43
Derby were not much better than us an own goal a mistake by a full back that is not a left back and a shot that the goalie did not hang on to
Team selection was all wrong and attitude in the second half was very poor.

18 Sep 2016 10:36:27
Just a little snipit from yesterday.
The American consortium is led by Brad Friedel and He was at the ground last week. so with luck this will be going ahead soon.

1978

1.) 18 Sep 2016 15:05:26
Must of made a lot of money in the last 5years. was made bankrupt 5years ago.

2.) 18 Sep 2016 15:18:30
So with any luck we will have someone joint in charge that has made some cracking decisions that led him to be made bankrupt.

3.) 18 Sep 2016 17:02:44
Like Fawaz It does not have to be his money He may just be advising the Americans,

4.) 18 Sep 2016 17:06:08
Not true. Friedel was there with the USA under 19's on a tour of the ground.

5.) 18 Sep 2016 17:18:31
Fawaz wasn't in a consortium. brad would be having to put money in like the rest of them, weather it be from a company he has links with or himself. his net worth couldn't run the club for a month. not much of a partnership if brad is advising and the others are putting the money in. they could do that without him.

6.) 18 Sep 2016 19:37:26
Fawaz was in a consortium with the rest of his Family.
His brother pulled out about six weeks in because He could not see it working and the rest of his family backed him until recently when they pulled the plug on spending any mone money because they could only see the debt racking up and that's why He needs investment.

7.) 18 Sep 2016 20:06:28
If Friedel is part of the consortium it will only be as the face for presentation purposes.

Pure because he is repected for his achievements as a footballer.

8.) 19 Sep 2016 16:51:42
1978 i here you but i thought the family pulled the younger brother out because he was making a pigs ear of it, not paying debts and players not being paid?

9.) 19 Sep 2016 21:17:20
Rutland just think of what you have just said
The Bills to this day are not paid on time
So I don't think you at right.

10.) 19 Sep 2016 22:40:25
1978 that was irony lol. Do you remember his bald cousin or brother totally out of his depth. But is fawaz any better?

11.) 20 Sep 2016 15:40:50
You serious TNGH? Briedal has a face like a bag of Spanners!

12.) 21 Sep 2016 08:51:31
Aye, he's got a face like a stuntman's knee, that's for sure.

28 Aug 2016 18:40:02
Just had a message to say Burke gone to Leipzburg (spelling? ) for 13 mill.

1978

1.) 28 Aug 2016 19:13:44
Yeah on sky sports news now.

2.) 28 Aug 2016 19:16:32
Gutted but wish him well. Guess we needed to balance the books.

3.) 28 Aug 2016 19:19:46
Yup it's true he's gone to Red Bull Leipzig for 13 mil. Just watched them on TV actually v Hoffenheim, they were pretty dull.

4.) 28 Aug 2016 19:20:09
And me, there a picture of him holding the shirt (photoshop? ? )

5.) 28 Aug 2016 19:20:37
If invested wisely then that is good business. Gutted to see him go but every cloud has a silver lining. At least he will play week in week out there, so won't be a bench warmer and a waste of talent.

6.) 28 Aug 2016 19:40:32
Gutted. I hope we have a winger and striker lined up. Wont be surprised to see britt go now. You can't believe this owner. PM said he thought fawaz would keep OB. Any outside chance we had of promotion is slipping away.

7.) 28 Aug 2016 19:42:23
Gutted let's just hope the money gets reinvested well.

8.) 28 Aug 2016 19:51:51
On the radio yesterday Montaniers post match interview he said he hopes to be signing a news striker Monday or Tuesday.

9.) 28 Aug 2016 19:56:54
I'm furious! 13 million? Can you imagine if we had lascelles, Morgan, Burke and Antonio still?
I get you can't keep players if they don't want to play for the club any more, but if we do keep selling our best players we are always going to be a mid table championship side. We were kings of Europe for gods sake!

10.) 28 Aug 2016 20:01:53
Must admit feel sorry for all the kids with BURKE Forest shirts.

11.) 28 Aug 2016 20:10:14
13 million is not going to do much damage to our debt-getting to the prem will - that has become less likely now. what's done is done, let's hope PM gets to use all the cash.

12.) 28 Aug 2016 20:14:36
and if we had kept Peter Davenport instead of selling him to Man Utd. We would have gone Bankrupt.

13.) 28 Aug 2016 20:38:57
Very disappointed, can't help but feel Fawaz has let us down again! So we have 13m from Burke sale and an apparent 1m from Patterson sale, who wants to have a guess at how much of that will be spent before Thursday? I think 2 very good signings are needed now to even try and win back some of the Forest faithful. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

14.) 28 Aug 2016 20:40:29
Belperred, think u need to get with the times! Every champ club a selling club and 13 mil for a 19 year old is good money. Don't get me wrong I'm gutted, but that's football today, so let's save the slagging off til thurs after we see who comes in because if money invested wisely then something good could come of this.

15.) 28 Aug 2016 20:47:15
I think we all need to keep calm for a few more days. If what I hear is correct his head was turned and didn't want to stay, was acting a bit of a spoilt brat. Before we all start screaming and shouting, let's wait and see if we don't strengthen the squad and replace Burke before the window closes. I wish we could have kept him but we have to move on. I have positive thoughts about the next couple of days, I hope we are one of the clubs in for Asomoh Gyan.

16.) 28 Aug 2016 20:52:42
Sad though it is, we have to live in the real world. Of course finding a way into the PL is what we all want. But if we still had those players, Belpered, we wouldn't have got out of ffp, and most probably be bankrupt and closed down.

17.) 28 Aug 2016 21:03:35
With you on this belperred. Add to that Bamford and you have a good young base to a team. Darlow also. I know in the real world bills have to be paid but come on. Twisty plays a handful of games and boom. Gone.

18.) 28 Aug 2016 21:13:55
I gather Leipzig is the feeder club for Bayern Munich.

19.) 28 Aug 2016 22:01:12
No one is looking at what Burke is only what he could be!

He is a player that has only made 10 senior starts in his professional career and we got £13m for him. Yes he could be worth £50m in years to come but he could just as likely flop and be worth nowt. Look at how many players have fallen from grace in a season or 2!

Let's judge this on who we bring in before Wednesday and where we finish at the end of the season before we decide on if it was good or bad business.

20.) 28 Aug 2016 22:08:26
Lascells, was slated for his positional play, Morgan was called a donkey and too slow. Bamford was desperate to go to Chelsea, Darlow was also criticised for his ability with crosses even Antoio was criticised for not tracking back and making us one dimensional.
The point i'm making is we always remember ex reds for their better moments especially if they do well after leaving us.
We are no different to every other club in the land, players are going to move. Look at Southampton a feeder club for Liverpool and Arsenal even though in Premiership, how many players they have produced and sold on in last 2-3 years.
we will be fine.

21.) 28 Aug 2016 22:23:00
Looked a great prospect but 13M! that is a great cash out. Good luck to him and thank you for helping our club. Amazing sale and we can buy 3 players. Awesome.

22.) 28 Aug 2016 23:59:39
This fee has put Burke in the top 20 most expensive teenagers of all time (Ronaldo to United was £12.25m) , which for someone with 10 starts is a great return. Let's wait to see if we can bring in 2-3 first teamers before exaggerating how bad a move this is.

23.) 29 Aug 2016 07:06:31
I'm all for this move. I think it's a great deal on both sides, it'll be £13m to help balance the books with a few clauses. Look at the deals we did previously 6.5m for lascelles and Darlow? Maybe a bit cheap but we got them back for a full season for free, then reinvested that money into Assombalonga and Antonio, who we then made what £6m profit on? Assombalonga SHOULD fetch £12-15m if he's sold in the next couple of days I'd say £15m min. Again that's profit.

We are a championship team, we want to get into the prem but let's be fair, I would rather us stay in this situation of wheeling and dealing and gaining positive equity than how we previously worked and spending money which tbf still kept us in the championship just at a higher end.

Also just want to add that this is a fantastic move for Olly it'll put him on the work stage in a very good league. He's a fantastic talent and I wanna wish him all the best. He's a great lad by all accounts, and was a great servant. He'll go far and I hope to see him in the prem in a couple of years, hopefully with us!

24.) 29 Aug 2016 09:00:20
Forever red. Diamand geezer and Polska. I'm not remembering what the players did at forest, I'm saying about the quality of the player now.
Lascelles is Newcastle United captain, wes Morgan is captain of current premier champions, bamford banged em in at this level for derby county and boro, Antonio has just been picked for England. i'm telling you now, ad Burke to that we would be a prem side. We aren't going anywhere if every time we have a player of quality we sell them. because then we are left with no quality players. We have signed an awful lot of crap for good money in the last 5 years and it seems to be for the sake of buying.

12 Aug 2016 09:11:29
Dorus in Glasgow for a medical at Celtic.

1978

1.) 12 Aug 2016 10:24:53
From Forest number one to being a backup goalkeeper. Money must be good.

2.) 12 Aug 2016 10:30:13
Done deal! Really sad to see Dorus leave and very surprised. Can't see the fee being very big as he was in the last year of his contract. From what I've seen so far, Henderson looks very shake. let's hope he can establish himself quickly.

3.) 12 Aug 2016 10:58:39
Yet again fawaz has weakened the side.

4.) 12 Aug 2016 11:06:09
money talks, dorus might of wanted to go?
work with old manager more wages
not sure about Henderson hopefully prove me wrong tonight

keep brit and burke is a must.

5.) 12 Aug 2016 11:07:57
Calm down NFFC73, try saying something positive, it's getting boring now. Dorus leaving isn't the end of the world, gives other's a chance and I wouldn't be surprised in we bring a GK in now.

6.) 12 Aug 2016 11:12:51
Unfortunately Players hold all of the power nowadays, especially those in the final year of their contracts. DDV obviously wants to go to Celtic and join up with Brenda. Good luck to him and we move on. Henderson would have been understudy to DDV this season no doubt but now he has an opportunity to make the number 1 spot his own. At least he will play the majority of the games and get some vital experience NOW. We could have been in the position of DDV leaving on a free next summer and Henderson having to step up having played relatively few games. At least we were proactive in getting another keeper in BEFORE DDV left. Hendo just needs a few games to settle in .

7.) 12 Aug 2016 11:26:08
We are set to approach Newcastle on bringing back Karl Darlow to the city ground for a transfer fee of 1.5 million after the sale of DDV to Celtic.

8.) 12 Aug 2016 12:02:47
Would not want Darlow back unless he has improved. We now have a director of football and he will know where the decent replacements are.
Talk about spin, some of you lot would make good journalists. When Fawaz was talking about keeping hold of our better players, he was clearly talking about Burke and Assombalonga.
DDF has instigated this move, encouraged by his old boss, Fawaz will have had nothing to do with it.
All parties very quiet on the Lansbury front though.

9.) 12 Aug 2016 12:22:15
I feel if we were able to spend £1-5m on a goalkeeper we would have got someone better than Vellious in.

Vellious is decent technically, and is good in other areas, but for just over £2m we could have got better than him.

Unless he just needs to settle in, he is just Blackstock mk2.

10.) 12 Aug 2016 13:12:08
Darlow? That would be awesome eh? Newcastle have that Belgium lad now as 2nd keeper so I guess he is down the pecking order. Would love to see him back.

11.) 12 Aug 2016 14:04:01
Shock move this is to play in Mickey Mouse league. Hope hendo is up to it but dorus will undoubtably be missed very much.

12.) 12 Aug 2016 14:24:19
Is DDV any gd? Not seen much of him since he last played in scotland.

13.) 12 Aug 2016 14:44:45
I say good luck to the fella. Was really good last season for which I thank him for. Getting on so fair do's. Be sorry to see him go but onward and upwards. I am sure Henderson will prove to be a decent replacement.

14.) 12 Aug 2016 15:52:19
Fee rumoured to be 2 million. Not bad bit businesses. Darlow on loan rumours starting but can't see this happening.

15.) 12 Aug 2016 16:24:52
Might be a weak league but he's moving to a bigger club (no offense) with the chance of champions league football. No brainer even tho a don't want him.

16.) 13 Aug 2016 00:05:27
It shows how far we have fallen that we are mourning the loss of De Vries. Average Championship keeper. Did well at the start of last season but cost us a lot of goals in the last two thirds of it. Would snap your hand off at Darlow coming back, a much much better keeper. Shows how poor we were last year for DDV to win POTY.

Hearing that Britt could be on the move today Middlesbrough have increased their offer.

1978

07 Feb 2017 19:46:20
I was informed today from a good sauce that GB knew nothing about us signing McCormack till it was done.
Another signing by Fawaz to try to appease the fans.

1978

1.) 07 Feb 2017 19:56:45
Ketchup or Brown?

2.) 07 Feb 2017 20:07:47
You are so sourcey.

It is not a surprise, if true.

3.) 07 Feb 2017 20:45:53
Now the Carlsberg window has finished.
Which I agree was great. Let's get down to the nitty gritty. CEO no! Dof no. New excuses from fawaz so the structure still isn't in place.
Does he think he's bought enough time again.
It appears some fans think he has?

4.) 07 Feb 2017 21:01:07
True as He knows Brazil very well.

5.) 07 Feb 2017 22:01:16
Didn't Brazil actually say he spoke to his pal Brian
McDermott about McCormack, who told him how good he was?

6.) 07 Feb 2017 23:52:05
They did speak. Obviously a moan for a moans sake because there has been a decent past week with not much to moan about. Some people aren't happy unless they are moaning and will even lie to get that moan in lol. What a life to live.

7.) 08 Feb 2017 07:17:25
Shanghai Red . Not a moan for the sake of it just trying to inform people of the facts.

8.) 08 Feb 2017 07:28:23
I'm no fan of FAH, but if he offered the CEO role to someone, and they turned it down, for whatever reason ( cue the ' because of Fawas' responses) at least it shows he is trying to put a structure in place, and keeping us informed, even when he probably knows he will get slated as it's not the news we want to hear. There were many moans before that we were always kept in the dark. FAH has an awful long way to go before anyone will start to feel positive about him, he knows that, but he's got to start somewhere.

9.) 08 Feb 2017 09:20:38
1978, if you want to quote facts, you should actually be aware of the facts. It's public knowledge GB knew about the signing beforehand.

10.) 08 Feb 2017 11:09:07
Shanghai Red. it was not Public Knowledge that GB spoke to or knew anything Before the transfer took place. My information was He spoke to Brian McDermott after he had signed,
So with out GB coming out and stating that He had known about it before hand then it is not fact .

11.) 08 Feb 2017 14:42:03
I bet GB had told fawaz he will have his notice if he ever dares to give him players like RM again.

12.) 08 Feb 2017 23:04:04
He equired about him beforehand, check the news and 'quotes'.

31 Jan 2017 08:52:37
We are in talks with Ipswich to re sign Chambers onwards and backwards we go

1978

1.) 31 Jan 2017 10:42:22
Omg doom and gloom ffs he's a quality player Jesus give it a rest.

2.) 31 Jan 2017 10:46:20
I wonder if Jeff Whitefoot has still got his boots?

3.) 31 Jan 2017 11:06:38
At least he'll bring some passion, grit and determination unlike Perquis, Traore, Carayol, etc.

4.) 31 Jan 2017 13:38:12
Wes Morgan is on his way up the A60 to complete the defence!

30 Jan 2017 21:15:16
I just wonder if our Chairman and Owner will realise that the offer from JJM was in fact good one.
nobody wants to loose money in any business but if you make bad decisions you have to swallow some pride and get on with it. Will he have to wait until season tickets are so low with people not renewing
that He then has to reduce his asking price to sell up, but by then the price will have dropped even more.

1978

27 Jan 2017 09:26:13
It is really about time that Fawas started to grow up and stopped acting like a spoilt child, It is not my fault for this and not my fault for that. Being the owner the buck stops with you if you allow people to make the wrong decisions whilst working for you it is YOUR problem. If You allow a manager to sign players on wages you can't afford to pay it's YOUR fault, but if you have signed players that the manager knew very little about then who are you going to blame for that.and
If you allowed the Greek to pick the manager and the director of football and then buy or loan players that were not up to standard then it's still YOUR FAULT. until the ink is dry on a contract to sell the club YOU are still in control and as such FAWAZ it is all YOUR FAULT

1978

1.) 27 Jan 2017 09:54:58
I agree 78 but the battle for now is lost. Fawaz made his excuse re hands tied whilst due dilligence carried out. He admits that it mwy have looked that he was lying. I in hope more than reality think he is reigned to sorting the mess out and some of his actions since bear this out. We have no choice we must stop all the negative stuff get behind fawaz as he likes his ego being massaged. If nigel arrives then that is clear indication that the situation is acceptable to an experienced manager so going forward maybe at last through massive errors fawaz is rebuilding the club. Maybe to sell at a better price but who cares.

2.) 27 Jan 2017 11:00:45
I am sorry Rutland red but I can't forgive someone who has lied his way throughout and now will not take the blame. It is no wonder his family don't want him any where near the family business, He would ruin it. If you weigh up all the cock ups he has made it would add up to half of the debt that we owe to the Halasawi family yet He will not budge on the value of the club. He should hold his hand up and say I will take less money and Go. He knows nothing about football or how to run a club and refuses to appoint people who do. He sacked Paul Faulkner because He told him to sell players to stay out of FFP and then went out and bought Antonio and Britt the man is a complete fool and if it wasn't for Daddy he would be living in a tent in the desert.

3.) 27 Jan 2017 11:45:55
1978, i agree with you and like both your posts. I am only saying that as fans its best to see the positive aspects though little they are. If he can pesuade nigel to come then maybe just maybe he is getting the house in order for the sale. Or maybe he realises that to get any money back he really has to pass the reins on to people with real experience. let's be honest selling fridges to arabs is not rocket science lol.

4.) 27 Jan 2017 14:08:28
Rutland please explain this getting his house n order, Was it not in order before he took over ? all he has done since he arrived is rip the heart and soul out of this club from his puppets sacking loyal people who have been at the club for years even hounding out the kit man been there 25 years, pampering to players whims not taking advise from anyone with his I know best attitude and then blaming others when it all goes wrong. If he had known anything about any business he would have put the right people in when h first bought the club. I would you if you had just bought a business you knew little about would you not get in professional help to run it, or would you like the clown he is entrust it to your family members to run for you who by the way knew even less about running a business the he did. If He was anything like a man he would still be attending games week in and week out, but NO he hides away because all he wants is to be liked by the fans.

A new manager would normally get time to bring in his own players and let them settle in, However AK has seen what is like a cancer in our dressing room and operated with swift actions trying to get some response from those who are left. Having watched both Preston and Hull games We are is desperate need of a leader on the field. Fox is not a good left back and Mancienne is no captain Osbourne is being asked to do so many jobs he has lost the plot, There were so many people crying for Vellios to play yet when he does he falls over and is no better than Ben Brereton Dowell has gone off the boil since MW was sacked We need a good strong midfield who can win the ball and provide some service to our lone Ranger up front although I would prefer two up front.
I am sure AK will get this sorted given time.
