Watching Everton v Spurs and it’s really apparent just how far off the standard of a decent premiership side we are. We can blame manager after manager after manager- but the real truth is our recruitment record is abysmal. For every Murillo we have signed a Shelvey, Sangare and CHO. too many weak minded players. It’s clear Everton aren’t the best footballing side but by heck do they battle and scrap- same as Luton.

DTP the last six games are irrelevant. The truth is these teams around us play with passion and desire even if they are limited in their attacking options. I see none of that in our performances apart from the Newcastle and Man Utd games. Luton are miles more effective than us. I’m sad to say this but honestly I think it’s true.

RF, we've had half the team missing recently plus our main striker out, you can see what a difference he makes straight away. We will be getting stronger now with players returning from injury and AFCON.

Garner was never our player, we had him on loan for 2 seasons, we did keep enquiring for him last Summer, but conehead only made up his mind to say he could leave Utd after we had already filled our midfield late in the window. Can't really blame Forest for that, but of course, that won't stop people.

RF I was literally going to post the same thing about Luton and read your post first. I totally agree with you, I am watching Luton at Newcastle and seeing how they press in both halves but especially in attack they get forward in numbers and are way more effective than us. I saw the way they dominated Brighton the other week and had won the game by half time just by pressing Brighton and being more ‘up’ for the game looking hungry for the ball.

It pains me to say, but I think Luton will stay up and if we don’t change, we will go down. We have to change our style of play because this counter attack approach letting teams come on to us does not seem very effective. We seem disjointed in attack and I don’t see a lot of bodies getting into the danger zones in attack.
