What do we think of Surridge so far? I know he's only just signed and needs time etc; etc; but can you see him being any good as a goal scoring centre forward? I reckon that the reported £2.3m that we paid for him could've been invested better elsewhere. I personally don't think that he has goals in him and the 4 in 24 for Stoke doesn't give me much hope either.

We could say that about Taylor as he's banging them in now I think Cooper can get the best out of players hopefully he will start showing that and scoring if not its 2 million not a big gamble compared to the 15 million gamble we just got rid of for nowt.

I think he's looked excellent so far.

You don't necessarily need to score a hatful of goals to be an effective centre-forward. His hold up play looks good, he works hard and he has a physical threat about him.

But yeah, we've seen at least 3 games and he hasn't scored twelvty-millions goals so he must be gash. You reds.

Agree SSWE Surrage is an asset a plan B something we have been asking for, he will score a Nd make chances for others.

I like surridge and he will get goals if given game time, particularly a full game occasionally. I agree with skeggs in that Taylor is scoring in a poor Brum team, 3 in 4 I believe. Surridge has better technique than Taylor though and has more Ariel threat.

I'm with you Perko, looks to be another striker living off a past reputation. He doesn't look like he has a goal in him. Hope to be proved wrong.

Gotta say perko mate i'm with sutton, if we do lose davis and grabban is back in i think the two will do ok. He does hold the ball up well and his work rate looks top notch for 2 million. I can see surridge/ grabban getting around 20 million goals though. But I've been told a million times, not to exaggerate. This is me thinking on championship level btw.

Surridge has done well. He's not a world better but got straight involved. Won us the pen the other day. Started that move for Johnsons goal with a great pass out wide. So far so good.

Have a bit of patience with the lad he’s only been here 5mins, once he gets his first goal they may come thick and fast, remember Birtles at Man U took him a hell of a time to get going.
