I agree with you, RHR, but easier said than done. Delap, I suppose, would be the obvious choice as the 'young apprentice' to replace Woody, but with his poor performances and injury-history recently, would it be a good move for us?
Saying that, though, he's young and proved that he has got talent if we could nurture that properly.

I keep hearing worry about where our goals will come from. Our team, if you look at each player, is more than capable if they are used right and they perform, same as any other team. Wood is capable of 15+, Jesus 15+, MGW 10+, CHO 5-10, Ndoye 10+. Our backs can easily chip in 15+ this season. All these players have achieved those stats at one time or another, and most of them recently, albeit not all at the same time in the Premier League.
I have faith in what we have, and don't know if buying a striker for 40-50, who is probably going to be 2nd choice or replaced if something better comes along in the near future, makes sense.
