I see there are many posts on here criticising Nuno for his perceived lack of passion, comparing him unfavourably with SC. I think this is unfair. When you think about the Master, Cloughie, it was very rare for him to jump out of the dug out. But when he did it had maximum effect. He spent most games sitting down, analysing, talking to his Assistant ( Taylor, Fenton etc). He certainly never patrolled the touchline and behaved like the drama queens of today. The greatest England manager Sir Alf hardly raised an eyebrow back in the day.
By the way, can anybody tell me what the role of the 4th official is, apart from to get earache every game from opposing coaches?

I've read with interest the posts on here, I thought we played really well Sunday til the 2nd goal killed us off, a reproduction of that performance at bramall lane would get 3 points, but we all know we won't get a performance like that away from the city ground, and that has been our main problem since being promoted, our away form is utterly pathetic, I think it's 3 away wins in 2seasons, , and neither manager has looked like solving that problem, it puts so much pressure on our home results, to the point where we HAVE to be getting points against the big clubs to survive, and if we manage to survive, unless this problem is solved, next season will be another struggle,

I'd like to see wood Cho and elanga stop with us. With the any spare cash I'd go for Spence, spurs want shot of him, he do a job if Williams or elanga left.

I think if you’re want to do a Leicester and bounce straight back you have to keep Murillo, MGW, Elanga and CHO. But finances will dictate recruitment and retention. Anyway, I’m confident we will survive, 100% mate!

Another interesting read Ed1 mate. As far as Anthony Taylor is concerned, absolutely ludicrous reffing. Welcome to our world…….
I once sat a Geography A level where a very clever examiner set the question ( from a quote from AA Milne of Winnie the Pooh fame) “Nobody knows, where the wind comes from, or where the wind goes”. Discuss! I worked out, correctly, that the answer was to test knowledge of world wind belts and climate.
The other day I saw a scurrilous and rather cruel quote on another site about Liverpool……
Built by Shanks
Bought by Yanks
Owned by Banks
And laughed at by Mancs
Discuss?

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - Anthony Taylor has cost Liverpool many times mate, still find it difficult to understand how a Mancunian can be allowed to referee a game involving a team from Manchester or Liverpool. And we are used to ludicrous reffing - just look back at that Spurs game when the goal was disallowed even though they knew it should have stood.}

29 Apr 2024 19:51:34
If we survive can we keep Awomyi ans our main striker?
Do we need someone who can play at least 30 or more games in a season.
If we could get a reasonable fe is it time to replace him?

I'd say part ways but good player when fit.

Awoniyi is a great player for us when fit. Sadly he is mostly injured- a curse that has played out through the last 20 years or so at Forest.

Let him go. Made of glass.

30 Apr 2024 08:47:08
We soon complain when players show no loyalty, however we would like the club to get rid of a player that gives 100% for the cause.

Let’s hope his injuries are behind him and he can become a great player for us.

I still think we rushed him back to play when a bit longer recovery would have been the better option.

30 Apr 2024 09:21:19
Pineapple mate. He gives 100% when he plays I agree mate.
Unfortunately that's only about 20% of the matches.

I've been a bit surprised to read some of the 'cool' responses to yesterday's game. As I posted yesterday we were, after all, playing one of the best teams on this planet. None of us could have dreamt about Forest playing in such a fixture even 3 years ago - let alone performing well and looking a threat for much of the game. OK, we didn't achieve the ultimate aim of putting the ball in the back of their net. But, so what? We played with more passion, intensity and downright skill that we've ever seen before under Nuno's tenure. Personally, I'm taking this as a massive positive going forward - whether we are in Premier League or the Championship next season.

Agree3 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 20:32:08
Legless we lost, you get nothing for playing well in defeat
Nuno changed to three at the back for the first time, we should stick to that formation for the last three games imo, but I bet he goes back to a flat back four
End of the day We beat arsenal, Liverpool and drew with city at home last season, all have beaten us under nuno this season
The first goal, we have nico injured and hobbling off, why on earth didn't nuno have a sub ready?

We are crap at corners with eleven men never mind ten, that was the killer moment and something that should never happen
Like I've said many times the football might look better on the eye but we lise to many games because defence can't defend as a unit and nuno has to take responsibility for that.

🤔🤔 DTP your words yesterday Nuno has put us up to get slaughtered with that team did we get slaughtered no 🤣🤣 to forward thinking you said now you want him to play like that for the last 3 games 😂😂 make your mind up what you'd like him to do as many can see on here whatever he does hasn't going to be good enough for you without the fist pumps.

Agree4 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 22:34:15
My mind been made up along time on nuno
No good
So skeggs we go to Sheffield Saturday, nothing but a win will do?
We competed against city, but they picked us off with the class they have
Sheffield have no class yes?
See how nuno approaches that game I say
City you expect to get beat and we got beat end of and you get no points for that
Luton one nil up and coasting till nuno makes the subs and invites the equaliser which soon came
What do you want nuno to put out against Sheffield skeggs formation wise?
Come on little man let's hear it?
Don't need emojis
Nuno don't do fists pumps because he hardly wins agame.

29 Apr 2024 23:03:32
What happened last season is irrelevant.
You may just as well say we lost at Newcastle, at home to Man Utd and Fulham last season but won those same games this season under Nuno 🤣.

29 Apr 2024 23:11:51
Beating Luton 2-0 at home and manager makes subs and invites the first and equalising goals.
Very short and selective memories some folk have 🤔.

29 Apr 2024 23:19:43
Exactly same formation but even though I'm not a Yates fan I would swap him for Danilo bit of fight in the middle my little Derbyshire pal and for a good season and half we barely seen fist pumps from the bloke who copied it from klopp 🤣 would love to discuss this with you further but for a bloke that as to work 7 days a week cause he's done something wrong I'm off to count sheep more interesting night night my little ub40 pal 😁👍.

Nuno supposed to be an upgrade Fred on Cooper, he's only on a par though.

Agree0 0Disagree

30 Apr 2024 09:03:26
At least you admit he's on par DTP that just shows you how bad cooper was in the premier league cause nunos done rubbish so far with results in the little time he's had compared to cooper 🤣.

Agree0 0Disagree

30 Apr 2024 11:59:52
You're splitting hairs comparing Cooper and Nuno. On the break football has no place in the Premiership. The 'mystery' of why Mourinho was so underwhelming at Utd is no mystery at all. That brand of football was passed its sell by date even then. And he had a billion quid running about.

Agree0 0Disagree

30 Apr 2024 13:35:14
That’s a worry Who Knows mate because Nuno is Mourinhos protege and taught him all he knows 🤔.

Agree0 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 17:42:37
So, here's a question. As thus season is almost done, would you keep Nuno if we stayed up or dropped down?
Personally I would like him gone. Doesn't inspire anything in me at all I'm afraid.

Thoughts?

Agree1 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 20:28:21
To be honest if it had been early in the season with the results he's got he would of probably been sacked so I'm guessing either way stop up go down he will be gone.

Mark Robbins deserves a chance - done brilliantly with no money at Coventry.

Agree1 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 21:31:23
Regardless of where we are next season Nuno should be replaced, the club and the supporters need a manager coach who can and should stand up to the owner and bring in the players he wants not what the owner wants. he has to connect with the supporters and bring back the vibrant atmosphere that's been sadly missed. We can't have a division between us and the owner it isn't any good for the club.

If we don’t win against Sheff Utd then we deserve relegation. The appointment of Nuno Dispiriting Santo has been a disaster. Still no solution to the defensive set piece situation, though in his defence, and I can’t believe I’m writing this, he has had some bad refereeing decisions during his tenure. The draw against injury ravaged Wolves at home was the.

Agree1 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 13:44:21
Can't defend + can't score is a recipe for disaster.
Nuno must have them in everyday and work on shooting drills nothing else. We are going to have to score more than the opposition ala Kevin Keegan style!
Get them hitting the onion sack time after time after time, all different types of goals. Tap in's, slide ins, shots from outside the box, damn, that'll be a first and headers. Goals goals goals in training might result in a couple in the real world. Bring on the blunt Blades!

Agree1 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 14:19:07
Roystone I remember when Steve Cooper arrived his first ever training and get to know the players session consisted of them shooting non stop and having a laugh and relaxing. It obviously worked because they never looked back after that for the rest of the season! 😁😁.

29 Apr 2024 15:01:41

29 Apr 2024 17:31:44
Clutching at straws again he dropped freuler which took long enough everyone could see he was shite but he was a favourite then he stopped parking the bus and let them play football then the next season he went straight back to parking the bus and after all them losses and the tedious football nearly as bad as your long comments on history. that's what he became history 😂😂🤣.

29 Apr 2024 18:05:03

We were also 5 points clear of relegation when Cooper left. We are still (if you add the deducted points back on) exactly 5 points clear. That means under Nuno we have scored a point less than Luton, who we were 6 points above when Coops left. This is what relegation form looks like.

Derby fans might think that's a good thing, but that isn't surprising, is it?

Agree0 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 20:34:33
I'm reliably informed that under nuno the players only train for one hour a day.

29 Apr 2024 22:51:22
Stella, mate, you’ve entirely excised the season where SC kept us up, erased from memory as if it never happened. As for history, that’s truly Stalinesque. I guess the logical next step is for SC to become a none person and never coached Forest at all! 😁😁.

Stokey skeeggs would never understand a word of that.

29 Apr 2024 12:56:45
So we played well yesterday much more positive in our play and game plan. The difference is Haaland one chance one goal, that's we he plays for an elite club and Woods is playing for a relegation fighting team. Not knocking Woods but that's the truth. City get the chances we had it 4 or 5 0 win to them easy.
It was the old adage I'm afraid where a team struggling play well have chances don't score, and you just know the better team will eventually punish them. Same adage afyer that, the poorer team have chances to equalise, don't take them then the better team kill the game off. We've all seen it a thousand times.
Pep blamed the dry pitch for Forest missing those chances which helped City. A few rumours flying about we did that to disrupt the City play, but still we got to take a couple of them chances. Mind you if we play like that last 3 games, with the sheclkes off we may just about be OK. Let's keep our fingers, toes and everything crossed we get a couple points back aswell.

But we are talking about the same team who thumped Brighton days before, you can't blame me for thinking that especially as with the a few games to go we just about keeping our head above water. Mind you we don't generally get thumped by the top teams at home.
