Sounds like Nashu has had a premionishion,does he often have correct one,s I,ve had one with us playing in the cripple,s guild league , we get more injuries than A &E at the QMC, like long alley skittle,s at the city ground ,down you go!

I think that the FFP IS a good thing for Nottingham Forest as a football club. It will stop us from trying to buy our way to the premiership and will go a long way to improve our financial situation and help us to be more sensible in the future.

Not only that, we will look at players in a long term manner, rather than one squad for the championship then buy a load more for the prem.
It will also quash the fans expectations. It pains me to say but the past 5 years or so have been hell, odds on favourites for promotion just to watch it dwindle to nothing time and time again.
I hold my hands up, I've booked playoff weekend off since time gone by, hoping & dreaming.

How can FFP be good for us?? Huge price to pay for "quashing fans expectations"! These long term signings are more than likely going to be in the heat of a relegation battle this season. Our owner wants to spend to get to the top, its his prerogative. How can strangling our ability to function be good for us?????

Mmmm. Sounds a bit like austerity is good for you so get on with it type stuff. It's the ownership and marketing money-making that is the central problem. We are just observers.

Completely agree cjay. FFP is a travesty for the club. Better management required with the right plans and structures - definitely. But a strangling restriction on trade and squad improvement is not the answer. Far from it!!
{Ed003's Note - I think ffp rules in the FL are a great idea - more fine tuning may be needed mind.}

I am getting this uneasy feeling that Dougie isn't going to do what he says like scouring the continent for bargains, giving our youth a chance or not signing his past players. Has anyone seen or heard from our recruitment officer? Maybe he is scouring the continent. Someone please tell me that Landsbury is not going for 1.5 m plus a player that I/we haven't heard of. Worrying times.

At palace he said he was going to be scouring the continent like he has said when he joined us, similar position with little money to be spent and having to unearth jems. One of the unknown player he found and signed was jedinak who has been quality ever since he joined palace being arguably there best player over the past couple of seasons. You can't just fly to foreign places and suddenly see an abundance of world class footballers or otherwise it would happen all the time however it takes a long time! Be patient especially with our restrictions it won't happen over night.
