If the City Ground renaming is really happening and deals have been done, then how come there has been nothing official or anything on the bird site yet? Don't get me wrong because I know this would be potentially massive for Forest but surely it would be nice for the supporters to be hearing first-hand rather than by rumours from another continent. Great news if it happens as long as the next step isn't to change our colours or club name?

JONRED

{Ed034's Note - sorting out press conference. It's all confirmed and done

1.) When did you get this info Ed?

{Ed034's Note - from somebody that knows. Come on mate, I'm not going to broadcast names am I

2.) Ed have you heard what the figures are of the sponsorship?is it what has been said on social media

{Ed034's Note - I've see figures mentioned, but I think we'll wait and see

3.) I trust what you are saying Ed for definite but it seems a bit disrespectful to me that (and I can only speak for myself) people on the other side of the world know what's going off with our club but fans such as myself who have been going to Forest regularly since the late 1960s and have ploughed thousands of hard earned money over the years into the club are thrown crumbs of information over such an important matter. I agree that it could be massive for Forest so that's great, I just feel a bit more could be done to keep the actual fans informed.

{Ed034's Note - friends and family of fawaz will know, as will the people putting the money in.
The fans will be informed when fawaz is ready but things do come out and I don't see where the problem is.

4.) Sounds like a spoilt kid. all the deals are being done in Kuwait so most of the rumours will come from the said place. its not being fed crumbs because we all know things are on going regards to the sponsors and ground naming. maybe fawaz doesn't want to say anything till he speaks to the right people so he gets everything out and across to us in the right way.
Infawazwetrust

5.) Ok Ed. Exciting times at the club aren't they. Will be good to hear more details of the sponsorship and what it will mean for us. Fawaz is doing a great job for us.

{Ed034's Note - it's never boring being a red is it

6.) Uptheforest you sound like one of them that likes to lick the proverbial. I have my opinion and have a right to voice it.

7.) Uptheforest everyones entitled to their opinions even if they don't match yours pal.

8.) I wasn't forming my own opinion just stating how things are/were. we will all no in due course. how hard is it to have a little patience?so what if we are the last to no about this deal, if it gets done then happy days regardless of when we find out. fawaz dies his utmost to keep us informed or tell us about things that are happening.

{Ed034's Note - be a bit of a boring rumours site if we didn't discuss this lol

9.) Exactly Ed. Its gud that we have different views. We live in a democracy apparently. Unfortunately for utf he likes to try to force his view on others. Also sounds somewhat sycophantic.

No more news on the ground renaming or sancidino silva. were these just rumours then?

JONRED

{Ed034's Note - it was only mentioned last week. I'm sure more info will be out this week, whether true or not

1.) Silva is playing at Boston tonight

2.) Silva is playing for the U21's against Boston tonight along with Roger Riera and trialist's manuel Royo (nike academy) and Guillaume Asare (FC Dijon)

Hello there Ed, have you heard anything regarding these rumours about the renaming of the City Ground at all? Surely this would be fantastic news for the club should there it be the case. Not getting carried away yet though. Our great club seems to be being swept along on a tide of professionalism, optimism and positive feeling at the moment - whatever the truth in this rumour. Its good stuff. What do you think?

JONRED

{Ed034's Note - he has been mentioned in an interview in Kuwait. Not sure exactly what was said though

1.) I don't really think it'd make much of a difference to the fans. It's still the city ground. A couple of extra quid in the clubs account can't be a bad thing.
If things kick off properly at Forest, like Fawaz's master plan states, how long can we last in our beloved ground? It'll have to be a massive redevelopment or a new ground to keep up and be back where we belong with the big boys.
I think we all know this deep down, we don't want to admit it but come the premiership we need to be getting average crowds of 35 - 40k to push forward. Qpr are in that boat, they can't financially support their needs as the capacity doesn't meet the financial pull on the club.

2.) What's going rate for ground renaming
Sponcership. Maybe put some clauses in this because when back in prem next season lot more publicity.
Hope it's 10m a season.

I reckon next season is going to be a really exciting one with Psycho at the helm. It will be great once we can add some real firepower and a bit of depth to what we already have. Am sure we will be right up there challenging and hopefully getting up to the promised land. But if we don't then I will always be a Red and support our great club. can't wait for that first home game. You REDS!

JONRED

1.) Well said that man!

Good morning fellow Red uns. Do you think that the training and nutrition methods for the players will be a lot more scientifically based next season under SP? It was a big factor in our fading away this season I reckon. With our first choice players fit and healthy (psychologically as well as physically) plus further strengthening in key areas, we should have a great chance of being a dominant force in the division next season. Also I think it would be great to see Henri rewarded for his efforts this season (whilst fit) and given an improved contract. Terrific player who will get even better under SP.

JONRED

1.) Just got the burger contract at Wilford Lane. The team have to jump through onion rings and chip in before lunch!

I was just getting used to the Kuwait City Ground too, maybe I'm being picky but not keen on the abbreviated KCG Stadium at all. Sounds too much like KFC. Will always be the City Ground to me like everyone else. Any news on Sancidino Silva yet?

I reckon Forest are a club on the up. Just need to get out of this division and that time is coming! I know there are always comings and goings but if we can keep our best players - together with the up and coming youngsters and all the management and chairman then we could be flying once we get up there.

In my opinion we should do our utmost to keep Lansbury. He's one of our top players and could have a major role to play in our efforts to get out of this division. Seems daft to contemplate selling such a key, important player. Some players are more easily replaceable than Henri would be were they to be sold. Just my opinion of course - what do the others think?

JONRED

{Ed034's Note - I think 99% of fans agree

Just out of interest who are all these Portuguese players who have failed to adapt then?

He looks like more than just an U21 player as well. Could be our pacey winger in the making.
