Df has stated that he will be looking into these injuries we are getting as it can't be just bad luck.he has also in my opinion blasted some players saying they need to take care of there own fitness.

yes to some degree but haven't we got a fitness coach to do that? injuries during games can't be helped. Seems to be getting his excuses in.

He's given Osbourn a rollicking for not taking care of his self and for getting food poisoning from dodgy kebabs.

How do you know if it's a dodgy before you have eaten it and suffered from it?osborn runs round all game everytime he plays so he can't moan about him.

All kebabs are dodgey! Dougie said in an interview he has had two have words with Osbourn about not taking proper care of himself. He didn't say any more than that but I heard a rumour that he was hanging around at night with his mates and that's where the kebab part came into it. Do professional sportsman eat kebabs? I have the odd one but I'm an 18 stone builder.

lol I think the point is that professional footballers shouldn't be eating chip shop kebabs, Uptheforest.

I don't think Ronaldo or Messi eat kebabs from John's Fish Bar. It's a small price to pay when you earn £££'s per week.

5.) 06 Oct 2015
06 Oct 2015 11:16:23
Agree if you play any sport and are earning thousands per week you have to eat right if he wants to eat kebabs and stuff like that do it once you finish playing but when you are in that profession looking after your body is top priority or you may find your not in the profession long or do as well as you should! Look at Reid he could have done so much more in the game had he looked after himself remember Paul hart giving him and Keith foy the same talk and look what happened to foy

06 Oct 2015 13:35:04
Hanging around with his mates isn't allowed?so he has to stay in every night eating salad to stop him getting hamstring strains, dislocated knees, torn acl or bad groin strains?a kebab here and there won't hurt anyone and if you think it will then you are mad.you think messi and ronaldo eat healthy food all the time?messi is/was on steroids and has had growth hormone which will help him in all aspects of fitness so you can't really compare with him.mind you he has just done a ligament wonder if that was because he had a dodgy kebab.lol.
If he was out eating fast foods all the time and sound sod all on the pitch then I would agree but when he runs round giving 100% when he plays and playing like he has done can you really moan about 1 dodgy kebaba?

7.) 06 Oct 2015
06 Oct 2015 14:49:57
He hasn't played though has he? That's the whole point. Forget kebabs for a minute. Dougie has had a go at him about his conduct and fitness, what exactly , i'm not sure but he felt the need to bring it up in an interview.

8.) 06 Oct 2015
06 Oct 2015 15:02:03
Uptheforest how do you know he isn't on the piss every week and eating kebabs every week? Dougie thought there was something there that he needed pulling up on so has done it! And at the end of the day if your boss told you right you will get 5kplus a week until your 36 but you can't eat a kebab until then would you take it? because I would!

Joe Kinnear was not too happy with Yohann Kebab or Phil Kebab when they were eating Kebabs from Abrakebabra.

Top athletes do not eat kebabs, or at least they shouldn't be. This is the way the game has gone over the last 10-20 years. In this country it started when Arsene Wenger joined Arsenal and implemented a strict diet regime. This has now slowly filtered throughout English football and any footballer with aspirations of playing at the top level, to the very best of their ability, needs to adhere to the strict regime.

It might sound petty but sometimes these very fine margins are what make the difference. This is the difference between being Wayne Rooney (a top player that enjoys the odd fag and a curry) and Cristiano Ronaldo (a top player that is an exemplary physical specimen).

For me, I have no problem with DF instilling this into players at Forest, especially those young players that need the guidance.

Osborn was out because of food poisoning I'm pretty sure it was the game before he last featured. Was just after he came back from the dislocated shoulder which would be one of the reasons this was probably brought up. Another reason being that actually the food you eat can effect your energy levels.

Many people think Robo was our best player ever, trained on fags, and ale!
CARLO

Well many people ere wrong then- our best left winger was Storey-Moore, and best player was either Collymore, Des Walker or Pearce IMO.

A cynic might say Dougies comments about Osborn have worked. Whilst we're arguing over the rights and wrongs of Osborn's diet we're not talking about Dougies results, team selection or tactics.

Gazza was crap at footy wasn't he!
Ronaldo is ronaldo because of his ability not because of the food he eats.he practices like hell and is always in the gym but that's not why he's the player he is.its his footballing brain that makes him what he is.he could eat a kebab everyday if he wanted to because he would just burn it straight off.im not saying it's good for you or the way forward ,but like I've said if he eats kebabs like df says and he puts that much in and works his nuts of like he does where is the harm?

16.) 06 Oct 2015

Seeing Benny made to play on the right wing made me a little nauseous, probably pulled his groin trying to play on his wrong foot!

17.) 06 Oct 2015
06 Oct 2015 22:22:14
Gazza!? Great example.

Had he not smoked, drank and eaten his own body weight in kebabs every month imagine the player he might have become? In this country Paul Gascoigne is the No1 example of a footballer's lifestyle hampering a supreme talent - Twice the ability of Wayne Rooney and less than half the accolades or silverware. I have absolutely no idea why you thought he might be a strong reference point for your argument.

Ronaldo could eat a kebab a day if he wanted. Ha. I like that.

Lets get serious and stop talking nonsense!! Get back onto a serious subject- Who prefers shish kebabs to donners??

Osborn lost a lot of weight from the food poisoning and has struggled to put it back on. His recovery is holding him back

Some people can't do it mentally. doesnt matter what anyone says it's not in some peoples mindset.the brain is a very complex peice of the human body and there's many reasons why some can (like ronaldo) put that little bit extra in and some (like gazza) can't.

does that me a they should stop playing football no it's just one of those things.should df pick one man out and tell him he needs to sort himself out maybe maybe not.some people can't change there midset.were are not robots programmed with the same goals, mental states or physical attributes we are who we are.

Is smoking as bad as dodgy kebabs?both messi and Ashley cole and zinedine zidane have all been caught smoking before.all three have had shocking careers.

10 Oct 2015 15:01:39
Rumour has it until Kebabgate The Bridgford Chippy were going to be the shirt sponsors for the season. Then Terry the Kitman could not get the chilli sauce stains out in the wash and Ossie gets the runs off the pitch. So both of them get flushed down the toilet at the club!

23.) 10 Oct 2015
10 Oct 2015 15:52:38
Ronaldo put what he eats for lunch on instagram - didn't look like doner kebabs and chips but I could be wrong!

24.) 12 Oct 2015
12 Oct 2015 09:19:41
Lol all this talk is making me hungry. Uptheforest you keep changing you're argument, you tried to bring up Gazza as an example of a great player and then changed your mind and started saying Gazza couldn't handle his lifestyle. Then you're talking about smoking? I think everyone knows Ronaldo's hard work is a big part of why he is so good, having a footballing brain is necessary but isn't everything and any professional sportsman (boxing, athletics, football) is encouraged to stay in shape and eat well nowadays - this shouldn't be a surprise.

Haha Redinexile I doubt Bridgford chippy would sponsor anyone, proper dodgy - nice though.

Ps 2tone, donners all day for me :)

Gazza was quality no mater what he are drank or smoked.
What I'm saying is would gazza of been a better player if he had stopped drinking eating and smoking?maybe he is one of those people who relied on drinking to calm him or help with pressure.different people have different mindsets.im Not talking about footballing Brains I'm talking psychologically some people aren't programmed to be like ronaldo.
