Frey deal now dead according to guy in the know on bird site.He has stated Forest pulled the plug and nothing to do with FFP.

Think Vydra will only come if Watford sign Balotelli, would love Vydra to come, but it's a massive ask and I can't see it myself.

In my opinion I would rather recall Lars and tell him to grow a pair and score some goals, or stick Ward or Pato up front as a striker if desperate, can't be any worse than the lad from Burnley that's for sure.

We already have a 20+ striker in Antonio bang him up front plenty of cover on wings in pato , Burke , ward , reid when fit and still hopfully had horses in those legs .

This future fee agreement that seems to be the hinge on whether we sign Michael Frey or not.Should Bevington not be able to sort this?
Why is he on a short term part time contract if he can't?Surely with his former high powered position within the FA he would know before we submitted this whether it would be accepted?

I think Bevington's role will be to use his FA influence to negotiate our eventual exit from FFP and not so much involvement in individual transfers and day to day stuff.
I think it could be a wise move by the chairman

Any transfers that are permitted by the FA, whether it be regarding work permits or FFP restrictions etc. are dealt with on a case by case basis, so I don't think there is anyway that Bevington would know for sure or not.
This is the FA, they don't know what they themselves are doing at times let alone what others can or can't do.

The FFP embargo has been imposed by the Football League not the FA so Bevington has no influence. His background in in media and communications which probably explains why DF has been more open in his interviews and trained to control his " shifty" body language.
Expect the Fawaz twitter account to become more informative.
Unfortunately his power will not extend to stopping the forum moaners.
Beware he is a lifelong Boro fan so he will no doubt get blamed for any bids from Teesside for our players!

Leeds are said to be interested as he is set to depart from Bolton.

7 million is an outrage for 2 of our rising stars.
I get that it is money in part for FFP. But are we not cash rich?Can we not afford a fine?Can we not afford to spend money on a big name striker or winger without having to sell to balance the books?
If we loan back Darlow & Lascelles after selling them then get promoted what do we do then?Wish them all the best and buy in foreign talent?Doesn't make sense to me.
In the end though it may be all part of SP's masterplan, so we got to have faith.

Chelsea have to recall before he goes out again as he is on a years loan. Constantly on the bench for Palace who had Gayle, Chamakh and Bamford along with some other striker on the bench against Everton on Monday night.
Wages may be another stumbler but i would put my neck on the line and say if we got Bamford in January then we would make the play offs if we get some of our injured lads back.
