Myself I have no confidence in this forward line, midfield without Anderson, (I know and agree) gone and have to go on. But he was one of the only midfielders to not only break up attacks, but could play a decent ball through. The flanks show nothing, the coaching, set pieces etc. pathetic. Is it me or do you lot really think Glasner can change this lot.
Big M obviously hoping so. Reds yes I come over negative and I swear. Apart from family and friends I live Forest. Only want the best. Yet I see a struggle with goals and working as a team. Gonna be hard getting this dressing room together. Shoot away. My opinion.

You watch, MGW will pull himself either side of the flanks because of his workrate and insecurity with them. Hope Aina does stay fit. As he has strength, can dribble and put a half-decent cross in. Hutchinson needs to up his game, loads. Williams will work 110% as per. (One of our only chances of a goal from back.) Sangare needs the same.
Last 3rd of the season useless. Hope and know Wood will work for the badge. Hudson needs to try changing his play. Happy defending for me. Jesus, I hope learnt a lot from last season. Don't get me wrong, the laddie tries, but just not Premier.

Well, Bowie, to be honest, I agree with you.
Only time will tell regarding Glasner.
New players are definitely needed ASAP, otherwise what's the point of hiring Glasner on false presences?

I have faith in the lads because...
? "And the shame was on the other side (Fester or Derby, take your pick)
Oh, we can beat them for ever and ever
Then we could be heroes
Just for one season
We can be heroes
We can be heroes
We can be heroes
Just for one season
We can be heroes." ? ?

You will remember, Bowie, how appalled I was at both the fact of VPs sacking and the disrespectful and classless manner in which it was done by Mr M.
He had the team purring, organised, playing some great football and scoring for fun. He instilled great team spirit and was charismatic. He got the fans onside as well, I thought he'd earned another season at the very least, mate. Or, as I and a few others put it, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"....
The jury is out on OG. I said at the time of his appointment he only came to us because he'd burnt his bridges at Palace and didn't get one of the "big" jobs at Chelsea, Man City or Liverpool.
I hope I'm proved wrong...
As for Ando, we had plenty of warning that he was off and we should have had replacements lined up and oven ready instead of all this messing around....
As you rightly say, it doesn't look good atm, sadly.

As a reminder to everyone, I said at the end of last season we wanted 3 things, and they were stability, stability and stability!
I also said we wanted no more than 3 or 4 signings maximum. A replacement for Ando, a beefing up of our goalkeeper department, and a centre forward to replace Woody.
(We may get away with the latter if Taiwo keeps performing as he is doing.)
Perhaps a ball-playing centre back to cover for Murillo's injury, and because OG likes to play 3 at the back.
Of that wish list, so far, we have Schlager on a freebie... with just over 2 weeks to go before the season starts.

Great reply Stokey, bud, and couldn't agree more on VP. ?

As for the Star Man up top... I'm fairly optimistic that Big Taiwo is looking strong, fit and hungry. He looks like the type of forward that needs love. If OG backs him, he could easily get back the form we saw when he first came in. ?

Oh dear, Arsenal are in big trouble. They lost 3-1 to Real Betis tonight in a friendly. Maybe their owner should invest in some new players. ??? It's the end of the world, I tell you. ??? We love Mr M. ?

05 Aug 2026 21:44:30
And p.s. Who was the Geordie we sold for 116 million? This time next season, we won't remember him, and Man City will be wanting to sell him for 40 million. ?????

Wow Skegs, bit weak that one, bud. The laddie fought till the end for us, even going through his hardest time. Cmon.

Bowie, don't make it out that he's some sort of saint. We all lose loved ones, and I'm afraid we still all have to carry on working, that is life. Forest was just a stepping stone to him to get to the big time, which he's done, he's now a Man City player.
So I've well and truly moved on. Good luck to the lad, but he won't do anything there, just like Johnson with Spurs and Elanga with Newcastle. ? Judas.
14.) 05 Aug 2026
05 Aug 2026 22:52:09
Or maybe let's put it another way, you said you've worn a Forest shirt all your life, supported them, invested money and time in them. And tomorrow you slip on a Man City shirt and start supporting them. What would you like me to say, thanks for being a Forest fan for decades and investing money in them, well done. ???? Or Judas.

Erm, you've lost me, Skegs. Just leave it.
16.) 06 Aug 2026
05 Aug 2026 23:55:44
So, Skegs, in your first statement you admit you loved Ando? As did/do we all. Fantastic player who gave his all for the club. Now he moves on to better things, which, in honesty, we all wish for our beloved. ?
17.) 06 Aug 2026
06 Aug 2026 06:45:29
Yes, he's moved on, RRH. So have I, that's all I'm saying. He's a Man City player now. Let's move on with the players that play for Forest.
18.) 06 Aug 2026

Ando was a brilliant player for the Reds, he's moved on with his career and we wish him well. However, getting the dream move might not be right for his career! Look at Calvin Phillips, Jack Grealish, both went to City, but it didn't work out. Now, is it Noorgaard? He went to Arsenal, which hasn't worked out, so he's now gone to Everton.
Chelsea have brought in a lot of players, as have Spurs, Man Utd and Arsenal. It remains to be seen if it works out, or will these players be sitting in the stands watching!

I agree, when players move on, so do we move on. Anderson will always be remembered for what he did at Forest, but that chapter has ended. People think we can just sign our previous players and get the best out of them when they have failed elsewhere. Elanga, Jonson, Garner have all moved on; Garner is the only one to have shown the potential that they had with us. The reason Anderson's replacement was not identified, I believe, is EM was looking for a different manager, and it seems, according to reports, that OG is identifying targets.
The GK department is light. It's good to see Taiwo looking back to his very best. The most important thing this season was to keep Williams, Sangare and MGW. I still believe we will make 3 signings before the start of the season.
