Do we really need Mateta he’s a feast or famine striker imo at the moment he’s famine
Similar player to Awoniyi in terms of stature if Dyche can rebuild Awoniyis confidence and get a tune out of him we could save 35m which we can il. Afford to spend and we already have Luca who is untried.

I hope that moment of brilliance against Brentford boosts Big T’s confidence and he keeps scoring and producing great performances.
My thoughts on Mateta is he’s a replacement for Wood who let’s face it is coming towards the end of his career even if he does comeback from injury,

If we can acquire Mateta, I believe he would be a valuable addition to the team. Awonyi has made significant contributions during his time here, scoring important goals. While he may not be a prolific scorer, his impact should not be overlooked. Players come and go, and his departure is a natural part of the football cycle.

Was just pointing out that MUNMAD at one time was relentless in saying we should get Mateta.
If we can afford him it's a no brainer. I'd even give them Bakwa and McAtee in exchange.
Highly unlikely we'll see him playing for us though.
