Approach the game against Chelsea how Olympicas.

We have the advantage two fold

Being at home
Playing last

Munmad always said the three that came up would go down
If it wasn't for points deducted for us and Everton they'd be down already
Don't want to jinks it but Burnley don't beat spurs and they are gone?
Realistically gone already with their goal difference
Luton lose?
Then the game against Chelsea becomes irrelevant
It's a case of thanks sky for picking us as the live game?

Agree2 0Disagree

09 May 2024 20:55:20
I'm definitely recording the Chelsea game, just to see Sky talking about nothing because Luton lose and Burnley fail to win before we play.
Job done.
No relegation decider on the last day.
Stuff Sky and their meddling.

Just a few thoughts regarding Saturday.
Both Spurs and West Ham can be a bit flakey but I'm hoping, firstly, the Hammers can do us a good turn in their last home game of the season and give David Moyes, for all his faults, a good send off and secondly for Spurs to put Burnley out of their misery and fight for a European football place.
Depending on these results, we should be wary of the threat Chelsea pose at the moment and we don't want our 11 and 17 goal difference eroding if we lose. We've seen them put 6 past Everton and 5 past West Ham in recent weeks. I think I'd be detailing Yates to shadow Cole Palmer through whom everything comes. I read somewhere that he's played 30 Premiership games, scored 21 goals and 9 assists which is some record. Plus they have a very expensively assembled young squad which, unfortunately for us, is coming together under Poch just in time for Saturday!

Despite being the eternal optimist nowadays Stokey, I'd be thrilled and amazed if we even get a draw against them.

09 May 2024 19:09:52
I agree they really are playing some great football.

However If we can defend well and frustrate them hopefully they will implode.

Legless mate, a point would be pure gold and enough to keep us up. The nightmare scenario would be for Luton to nick a point at West Ham and us having to go to Burnley needing a win or draw.

But I predict (tin hat on here) Spurs 3 Burnley 0
West Ham 3 Luton 1
Forest 2 Chelsea 3, but we’ll all be pi**ed and in the Trent with Yatesy long before then!?
Coyr!

I'd be putting my kevlar helmet and full body armour on after that prediction Stokey!

Legless Chelsea are abysmal away from home, they couldn’t even beat Sheffield united.

My team to beat Chelsea on Saturday when hopefully Burnley and Luton have both lost

Sels

Awoniyi no where near fit enough to start mate
Toffolo?
He ain't good enough at premier level
He won't play a back three either mate.

09 May 2024 20:44:34
That’s our best 11 I’d say and if we stay up wow some big changes needed because it’s a very poor team to try and compete at this level.

At this stage though I’d have Yates in the team, should we retain our status sangare, Danilo (sad as he looked like a decent prospect last year ) and Dominguez (especially) need replacing.

Agree0 0Disagree

09 May 2024 21:13:31
Won't be the team though 2 star
And a lot of good players, need a better coach.

09 May 2024 21:37:35
Yes your probably right DTP this coach was a upgrade on the last coach so maybe we to upgrade again 😁.

Yates must be play to shadow palmer and basically dropping Elanga and have an extra central defender.

Agree0 0Disagree

09 May 2024 22:05:14
I'd love to see Worrall brought back and played alongside Murillo next season (if we can keep the latter. ). I think the two could compliment each other really well. What do you think Munmad?

Agree0 0Disagree

09 May 2024 22:32:34
Nowt wrong with danillo he's only 21 aswell, never had you down as a doom and gloomer 2 star
Dominguez is also a very good pkayer
Both far better than Yates
We can't play another season with Yates in our midfield.

09 May 2024 23:29:26
Perhaps it’s the coaching as you say.

Again reading reports consideration being given to the possibility of leaving the CG and moving to a new 50, 000 seater stadium. What's everybody's thoughts on this? On the one hand sometimes a tired stadium needs to be left in the history books and you move on. Also there is the ability or lack of ability to expand and build bigger stands due to housing, shops businesses being in the way. Take Leicester their old cow shed stand at Filbert street you used to have to enter between 2 houses and were surrounded by streets houses ect. On the other hand a new stadium loses that unique atmosphere takes away some of that charm especially for the romantics amongst us. Look at Arsenal, Highbury the stands were virtually on top of the pitch creating that authentic atmosphere and the Emirates still doesn't feel the same. But is it a case of move with the times or fall too far behind the rest
I love the CG just not sure a move would be a good thing.

Agree0 0Disagree

09 May 2024 13:50:51
Yes I saw that article, looking for a place big enough for the academy as well. Toton fits bill so does the embankment but city council owns that. I just worry about a move, you only have to look at the mess Everton are in over Bramley dock. Forest were offered land opposite lings Barr roundabout on the a52, the council yard. I don’t understand why mr m hasn’t made a offer to buy the city ground, after all they own all of the houses around the bridge ford end, they’ve been buying them up for years.

Agree0 0Disagree

09 May 2024 13:55:39
Bin the city ground off. Its a dump awkward to get to, no where to park
Don't own the land. Its a car crash of a set up.
Get down Toton and build a proper ground 🎈.

09 May 2024 19:59:59
Can we really afford a new ground, upwards of half a billion pounds, where does that leave the club with sustainable rubbish. the establishment will love that. We posted yesterday about the cost of lively hoods when clubs go down. The same can be said if a club moves, there are a lot of pubs and bars around the city ground that do well when we're at home.

Agree0 0Disagree

09 May 2024 20:48:08
Don’t look anywhere in the city- the council won’t play ball. County council may be different. We discussed Gamston some years ago but that hasn’t really got the infrastructure to handle the traffic. It’s bad enough there during rush hour.

Agree0 0Disagree

09 May 2024 20:49:15
Thank god for that, our ground is a complete tip after years of no investment under ND and fawaz. It’s a very poor experience. Anfield and villa park prove that it can be done without moving but we just don’t have the wherewithal. To be honest when big M triumphantly trumpeted ……‘this will be our home forever’ ……you somehow knew it wouldn’t be!

Sometimes can’t believe what I read on here. As soon as any manager, no matter how mediocre, is sacked there’s a general mood to sign him up. I think we have collective inherited Greek Marinakis managerial merry go round syndrome.
Wouldn’t touch Moyes with a barge pole myself. Only ever won one Micky Mouse Europa Trophy in 25 years of management often at well resourced established top tier clubs. There’s a reason West Ham have had him replaced comrades
So let’s give our heads a wobble and at least give Nuno a pre season and a chance to make his mark.
Especially when you consider the disadvantages he faces which are none of his making ie poor recruitment, lack of planning for AFCON, FFP breach, large unwieldy squad etc.
SC had similar problems which he eventually succumbed to but that’s for another day ….

In york with the my good yank father in law, and jimmy 10 bellies. Wife sadly couldn't make it, really bad, just a virus. nothing too bad. Tell ya, our history is just beyond belief. Ya know reds that f kn minster just blew him away he was almost in tears. But as i remind him and the wife. Yank history we find roman sandles they dig up nike jordans etc. (Chim, it's a sign it's a sign) 😉 no but what I'm getting at is our history as a whole, each area fought with pride. I mean i'm on the border of jocks. But it's the guvner ya believe in to challenge them encounters and challenges. And lay the defence in front of ya. Now I'm not expecting Alexander the f kn great, with the hammer attack (for you stokey) just want them shirts looked at with pride in the dressing room. And just please try. Your set for life, we need to kid ourselves we've got one. And for a lot on here it's through the beautiful game. 😍 night you lot.

Ronnie died last year, after football he got a job at Port Talbot steel works but still quite young had a massive stroke and spent the rest of his life in care. Played most of his football in top Div. West Brom, Coventry, Forest, regular international.

Can you imagine that today, footballers in a hot dirty steel works. They are all multi millionaires from that level.
