Great news

Nottingham Forest have made a third bid for Sporting Lisbon striker Fredy Montero. The bid us believed to be for a fee of £1.5 million.

Red Targaryen

1.) Very much doubt it. He has a 60 million euro release clause. Not coming to us for 1.5

2.) Agree with Lincoln Rob, valued between £8-10m with a ridiculous release clause.

Decent forward though, 82 goals in 216 appearances. Would be an outstanding addition to most teams of our ilk.

3.) Not sure where that release clause would've come from but since he only joined Sporting in January for £1m on 4 year deal not sure he would be available.

4.) This seems unlikely however I agree with the ethos of looking abroad instead of naming the usual candidates.

5.) Whilst I also think this is unlikely, I wouldn't pay much attention to the release clause. In some countries it is a contractual obligation to have one, so they're often sky high and unrealistic.

He joined Sporting in July 2013 on loan and completed the permanent transfer in January. There are top division European sides after him too, so I can't see him coming to Forest.

6.) Just to add a bit more info on release clauses; Sporting have just signed Ryan Gauld from Dundee Utd and he has a £48m release clause!

7.) Talk of looking abroad, if we were early enough we could have snapped up ex-legend's son Cristian Silenzi who has just signed for Milan. Sure there would have been wonderful things he heard about Nottingh lol

8.) 01 Aug 2014 15:24:29
He only signed for them in January for €2m. So unless he's had a big fallout or they want rid, I can't see us getting him for that amount of money. Does anyone know if this lad is decent? I know his wpedia page says he scores, but is he a good player?

Chelsea's Josh McEachran is expected to complete a season long loan deal to Nottingham Forest by the end of July. He has rejected both Leeds United and Fulham to work with Forest boss Stuart Pearce again.

Red Targaryen

1.) Would be a good addition if true. Very talented young lad but not performed great on previous loan spells. I think it would be a great signing as I believe Pearce will get the best out of these young players and get them playing with real passion. Do you know where this has come from ed? I.e reliable source

{Ed034's Note - havnt seen anything saying this but I do believe we are interested in him

2.) Don't know where this all comes from. but don't care as long as it's true!

any more news on the shirt sponsor yet. FTID

3.) Again a good bitof business. Very good player who looks aftethe ball and ikes to play good football.

4.) Really happy with the way the squad is shaping up. McEachran would be a great addition to the squad and nice to see players deciding to join us over others. Defo the SP influence

5.) I agree another good cog in the Forest Wheel if true

6.) Would be a great addition to the squad, Chelsea rate him and gave him a 5 year contract, I think he would be great to cover ried and lansbury in the middle

7.) Having seen the thorne news I would not be surprised to see derby make a move as they are both similar players. Hope we can land him

8.) The last thing Chelsea would want is for him to come here and sit on our bench
He needs to be playing and getting experience.

9.) I'd imagine we will be playing three in the midfield and McEachran will offer competition for Lansbury and Vaughan at the base of a 4231.

McEachran is technically sound and a clever player but I think he has struggled to impose himself on games in his previous loan stints. Hopefully, a year wiser, he can perform well if he joins us at the City Ground.

Looks like we dodged a bullet with the George Thorne rumour too - He's just ruptured his ACL during his first pre-season game for Direby and he's out for 9-months! (Tried to post it on here as a rumour but Ed wouldn't allow it :)

{Ed034's Note - I put it on but on the 'other forest' page

10.) I remember ray wilkins saying 2 or 3 young players in the chelsea youth team have a billy big balls attitude. they have the flash car and they think they have made it!!hope he wasnt talking about young josh, could possibly have meant chalobah. good potential but that's all it is. hope stuart gets hold of him, and educates the lad.

11.) I personally don't think this would be a good signing. stinks off a lad whose done nothing but been given everything as he earns over a £1.5m a year already. looks decent but can imagine a Chalobah effect thinking he's too good already and does he have the hunger to battle for Forest to get into the prem!. didn't do much last season for Wigan tbh!.

12.) Leeds never put in offer, so pretty difficult to reject them

Nottingham Forest will launch a bid for Chesterfield player of the year goalkeeper Tommy Lee if a bid is accepted for in demand Karl Darlow.

Red Targaryen

1.) Its seems that every player we are chasing is a goalkeeper and a central midfielder so it would seem that a deal has already been agreed for darlow and landsbury. If it is bamford, darlow on loan and say 11 million for the two then it would be good business. The replacements that we are chasing wouldn't cost anywhere that and will balance financial fair play. We can also count on darlows and banfords wages being contributed to by chelsea freeing up wages for a top quality striker from a lower league

{Ed034's Note - I can see why you would draw that conclusion with darlow, but we have just released greening and moussi, as well as letting Peltier go back from his loan, so we are bound to look to bring in midfielders.

2.) Isn't this guy the drummer in Motley Crue?

3.) Is he still married to Pamela Anderson, it will be nice to have Pam at the city ground.

4.) Tommy needs to stay in the crue, last tour for motley.. tommy lee (chesterfield) is a good keeper i'd take him.

5.) There is no way Darlow is going to move to a top 6 club to play second fiddle. A season loan back is no good for his career as he will still not be first choice the following season as these clubs chase Champion League /International keepers and he will end up like Butland.

Staying with Forest to be number one in the Premier League and then a full international with Forest, then a £20m transfer to a Champions League team

6.) Pams ex Tommy Lee would be great in goal he has got 3 arms! :-)

Nottingham Forest launch 2 million bid for Watford midfielder, Adlene Guedioura.

Red Targaryen

1.) 11 Jul 2016 23:02:59
Sorry mate but why would this be the case when he was at forest couldn't wait to go palace in the dying stages of that transfer window. Seems strange really but hey ho he's got a cracking strike on him.

2.) 12 Jul 2016 08:19:41
Having not competed in midfield for at least 2 seasons, Guedioura is just what we need.

Guedioura, Lansbury and Benny in your midfield three will be more than a match for most teams. Season ticket sales will get a proper boost too.

Make it happen.

3.) 12 Jul 2016 08:25:44
Pity we let him go in the first place. decent player who always put a shift in. unlike a few.
