Apparently the Peterborough chairman is sprouting off again about Britt, worth 15M plus plus plus and being cryptic as to whether there is a sell on clause. Personally, I don't think he should be sold for any amount. Give it another season, see how he does under the new regime which I reckon would be awesome if injury free.

The man has clearly under valued our prized asset?

2.) 14 Jun 2017 14:35:32
There is a sell on clause. I think it is 25 per cent on top of the transfer fee.

3.) 14 Jun 2017 16:13:48
Is that from the PR department?

4.) 14 Jun 2017 17:02:51
True guys. he should not be sold! Give him another year, hopefully he's turned a corner.

5.) 14 Jun 2017 17:21:57
If Fulham can turn down a 20 million bid for cairney then we should not be accepting any less for Britt. If we do it's a joke.

6.) 14 Jun 2017 17:33:14
i don't know the rules to much but is
that bloke from p/ boro allowed to tout
our player even indirectly as he is
doing.

7.) 14 Jun 2017 17:43:28
I thought the fee at the time was 6.5 million rising to 8 million if we got promoted.
In his tweet he doesn't say there is asell on clause and i doubt very much it would be as high as 25 %.

8.) 14 Jun 2017 18:46:08
He doesn't mean 25% of the fee, FF79, he means 25% percent of the profit, based on his fee from Peterborough.

So if we purchased Britt for £8m and sell him for £9m, 25% of the profit would be £250k.

9.) 14 Jun 2017 19:12:42
Yep can do maths.
Know its on profit but the question is
Is there a sell on clausein the first place?

10.) 14 Jun 2017 19:13:58
I reckon we paid 5.5 for him pal we used the lasceles darlow dough with the remainder going on Antonio.

11.) 14 Jun 2017 20:22:07
As much as I was hoping for him to come back the same player, he was wrapped in cotton wool last season due to his constant niggles
As much as I would like him to stay if big money is offered I would expect it to go through and, if the money was spent strenthening, I would be happy because I am never confident that he will get through the game.
To get promotion or push for play offs we need to be consistent and need a strong forward duo.
Cummings could be good if we get him and not to forget Vellios who has done well with limited game time.
If he goes it needs to be early in the market so we can replace.

12.) 15 Jun 2017 11:42:17
There is a sell-on fee, FF79. The Peterborough owner says as much on his Tw*tter feed - You've already pretended you can do the maths, now's your chance to pretend you can read too.

13.) 15 Jun 2017 12:51:38
All i can see is a face pal nothing to read.
Not actually said anything other than he thinks britt is worth 15million.
Hopefully we won't sell anyway.

14.) 15 Jun 2017 13:47:41
If you look through his feed he is asked whether they have a sell on fee for Assombalonga and he replies "Do bears sh*t in the woods? ".

Keep practicing those reading skills, fella x x.

15.) 15 Jun 2017 14:07:59
I don't do twitter at all so thanks for that only bit i saw was face bit.
Keep up your people skills😚😚.

Just like to say, whether he's had one arm tied behind his back or not with FFP, or whether we find the football we play attractive or not, fair play to Fawaz for sticking so long with DF. Can't recall a manager given so long under both Fawaz or Doughty before him other than BD and perhaps CC. Nigel Pearson got Leicester to the EPL after a lot of ups and downs whether we rate him or not but he was given a lot of time and he did it. Perhaps if we keep on with the same setup things will slowly fall into place, we can main about the draws, some dire football perhaps, but then maybe the football will get better, the team stronger, and the club more stable. I'm in no rush for EPL football. I'd like to see how this works out next season with DF at the helm. That'd be the real test in my opinion.

I really don't care what kind of football we play, who would have thought back in autumn that we would now be 13 games unbeaten in the league, 3 wins and 3 draws in the last 6 games and every chance of another win on Saturday. We don't go in to each game with the assurance that we're going to win, but we can be very confident that our opposition will be lucky to score a single goal against us which is almost as good. If DF can carry the ethos in to next season and add firepower then who knows what could happen. The only niggle I have as I know so many do, is that I hope the running of the club could stabilise just like the performances on the pitch.

2.) 08 Feb 2016 13:50:31
Could be wrong Gazza but I suspect you ain't paying thirty quid a game or five hundred pound a season. The football plays a part in the attendance which plays a part in our finances. It matters to more people than you think.

That said, Freedman looks to be putting something much more watchable together now. Its been a slow burner for sure, but I genuinely think he is some real intentional football at the City Ground away from being a real managerial find.

The benefits of winning the Huddersfield home game should reflect our approach to it.

3.) 08 Feb 2016 14:43:51
I suppose I'm looking at it from the view of, if we continue with our current form, we will get another 33 points from the remaining 16 games which will see us into the playoffs easily. I guess point being, why change something that isn't broken.

4.) 08 Feb 2016 23:02:25
He changes something every game. It's something thickos like the Leeds manager don't understand.

Don't know if you'll post this Ed, but there are a lot of hypocrites on here today, especially after this result against Derby.

I know a lot have been critical of Burke, suggesting Pato takes his place etc and perhaps there has been a case for it, but the assist for the second goal last night was just incredible. Although not Forest, Mourinho suggested with Oscar that he only needs to have one moment to change a game and needs to work on that. Don't get me wrong, I like Pato and his ability and am happy if he's in the team, but on the wing only Burke and Antonio could do that, a game changing moment from so far back on the field. Suppose I'm just inspired watching that goal so only an opinion. Boy he can take players on at pace. Wish he'd do it more often tho lol

Shanghai Red

1.) Think Burke has been decent last two games. Getting back to form. Even against Cardiff had an excellent spell

2.) I would have Burke in the starting 11 every game. He works hard for the team, he's solid and has the ability to create loads of chances. I'd have him and Pato in the team. 4231 formation with Tesche and Vaughan holding, Antonio Pato and Burke behind Britt up top. Lansbury has got to improve to get back in the team now.

3.) Nice to see that he is finally getting credit. He can pick a pass out and shot with both feet and does his bit for the team when out of possession.
First choice for me every week.

4.) Burke is a quality wide man, but he's low on confidence. He would be in my team every week and there's still room for Patterson. 41311 with Patterson between Burke & Antonio. Fryatt behind Assombalonga. We need someone dictating play in the middle of the pitch, why not Patterson?

Not Forest related, but Football. I'd like to quote a been report into FIFA corruption investigations, those who represent the game including us fans:

"Fifa's ethics chief Hans-Joachim Eckert said a decision on the findings of Garcia's report would not be likely until next spring.

He also told BBC Sport the information contained in the report would "never" be made public. "

Seriously, how can he say "never" to be made public. Who do those fools think they are? Above the law? Disgraceful and dishonest thing to say. It's a huge poke in the eye, or elsewhere, to those who love and follow football. Stick them all in the ICC at The Hague.

FIFA is a maggot infested pit to put it lightly lol

Maybe they just had a crappy second half and he's been pulling your todger for the past 1000 years, as a Derby fan would. The Reds have been a different team either side of half time all season.

Very smart comment NorthNotts, or is it your general hate on for everything lol. Thought it was players and coaches, and owner support, that enable teams to be crap enough to be relegated. He, and likely the coaches, had to work with what they had. Who's fault is that? It's highly unlikely he personally took them down several divisions, and Norwich haven't done Wolves level bad.

It may also make it look like Britt is staying, depending what your inclinations are.

Middlesbrough, to shut up their fans when Britt scores for us. You know, the ones saying we only just avoided the drop, they have a ton of money and likely going straight back up. Why on earth wouldn't Britt want to play for them rather than us ya da ya da. That would be a nice start to the season. Welcome back to the championship, thud, Villa style.
