Has anyone read the interview with Nigel Clough today? He chooses his words very wisely. He says he would like to manage Nottingham Forest however, he could not leave Burton is a relegation scrap half way through a season as that would be the wrong thing to do. I think I can see where this is going. He will do right by Burton and stay with them until the end of the season, we will have GB in charge until the end of the season and then Nigel will move over (given Fawaz had stuck to his promises) . He was careful not to distance himself from Fawaz saying the interactions they had were positive.

I read that report and agree with you. Either NC has a 'gentlemans' agreement in place with Fawaz (not the brightest thing to do) or NC is hedging his bets for if/when Burton are relegated.

He made a point of saying twice that it would not be right to leave Burton "mid-season". He said if they were higher in the league then he probably would have joined. He will join in the summer, i'm convinced of it.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that he doesn't decide to come.

Either Clough wants to manage Burton Albion or he wants to manage Nottingham Forest. I would now look elsewhere but not until the end of the season. If GB continues to do well maybe he could be the right man but there are still so many maybes before May.

NC came across very well and I wouldn't mind him joining in the summer. However, what I don't understand is why even meet with Fawaz if you had already decided it wasn't right to leave Burton mid season?

We all realise Nigel could not come here when the club has no CEO, DoF and some kind of Financial Control - begging the lady's pardon, and especially if Fawaz is still looking to sell. He has kept his options open. Depending on the next owners and their level of stability and investment, we may well see him at Forest. I think Burton is a smokescreen for him.

Nigel is not Brian and will never be.
