I see nothing wrong us being called Forest Red Bulls, in fact I quite like the name. We can drop the Nottingham, most other fans call us Notts anyway.

They can call us Bulls£! t for me, as long as we get to the promised land.

2.) 06 Oct 2016 17:11:59
How about Forest Red Bollocks. This would seem to sum up how things have been in recent years.

3.) 06 Oct 2016 17:52:13
Yes some fans and media do refer to us as Notts, and any true Forest fan will tell them it's not Notts it's Nottingham Forest!, really pisses me off and has done for 65 years!

4.) 06 Oct 2016 18:55:59
No! No! No! We would be an even bigger laughing stock! Who else in the Prem have changed their name? . Correct! You all know what our nickname would be! Let's say your in the Pub? With your mates, and they're asking "well how did Bulls**t get on today? " And the songs? "Aaand it's Red Bulls Forest! Red Bull Forest FC! " Yeah you get the picture! Ain't going to happen anyway!

I would never have anything to do with the football club again if we did this as it simply is not the same club! I love nottingham forest not anything else!

6.) 06 Oct 2016 20:00:46
Herefortheforest

Off course would have anyeto with this club again, we would be a new vlub effectively.

7.) 06 Oct 2016 20:10:51
Tricky Bulls, tricky horns, horny reds, bovine trees, tricky cattle, need for steed?

8.) 06 Oct 2016 20:11:56
Hftf I agree about the name change but at the minute were not exactly a football club to be proud of I would be quite happy any new takeover whoever it is because I don't think it could be run any worse than it has been over the last 5 years.

Never Wrong A

You need to Steer clear of such things.

Do you have a branding iron, do you think the sheep have farmers that would russle us, would we be served up steak burgers.

If true, it proves that all Fawaz cares about is money and from day 1 has never cared about Forest. If selling these players makes him leave then so be it, Forest will recover and rise again eventually. Fawaz is one of those humans who make the world a better place when they leave it.

Agree about Vaughan in the DM role. Lack of pace in a DM is not a major problem if the player has a football brain and can read situations. The best DM Forest have ever had was John McGovern and quick would never have used to describe him.

I think that signing Mills for free and on a lowish wage due to FFP is quite a good move provided we can sell either Wilson or Hobbs. Financially we'd be better off and I don't think it weakens the squad. Mills is a decent defender at this level and less injury prone. I think Mancienne is the best footballer out of our current four, although I have seen very little of Laing.

Jenas has signed a 2 year contract with the BBC as a pundit on football focus and MOTD. I don't think he'll be playing again for anybody.

Maguire quoted yesterday 'looking forward to playing in the premiership and Europe' sounds to me like he's off to Hull.

I read that report and agree with you. Either NC has a 'gentlemans' agreement in place with Fawaz (not the brightest thing to do) or NC is hedging his bets for if/when Burton are relegated.

Loaning him to Port Vale is a good move. He will gain experience of League 1 in readiness for next season, which is where Forest will probably be playing.

I think the Premier League is the most hyped-up league in the world and is certainly not the best quality wise. I also think the Premier League is not even the most exciting league in England, the Championship is.

Mackie, Halford and Raddy are still Forest players. Given the situation with FFP, does anybody know if they are counted as part of our limit of 24 first-team players?
