Hi folks, just want to mention something for the last time and then I'll let it go lol. people slagged me off on this site when I said we got rid of Steve McClaren too early! I think my opinion doesn't look so odd now does it. I said a few weeks ago, that although it pains me to say it I believe the sheep will go up. They play attacking fast flowing football and I believe are the top scorers in the league. SMc was never given a chance at Forest, he was promised money by the board which was never forthcoming and tried to stay loyal to us until people like Mark Arthur made it impossible to stay. Putting the England job aside, every other club job he has had, he has done a good job except us of course, but how can you sack and judge someone after 12 to 13 games. People in the game when interviewed say he is a top class coach. He is proving again that he does actually know what he's doing and he really isn't the wally with the brolly that a lot of people think he is

{Ed034's Note - sometimes a manager and club just do not fit. That was the case with mcclaren.
Not sure why you still feel the need to bring him up though. It's been and gone

I just mentioned it Ed because as much as we don't want to admit it Derby are sweeping everyone aside and look a very good team under his management. Anyway I'll drop it now - onwards and upwards PSYCHO! PSYCHO!

{Ed034's Note - so what?? What's that got to do with us and next season?? As you have said....psycho! Psycho!

2.) 11 May 2014
McClaren even admitted he rushed things and got things wrong with us.
Also without sounding rude mate who cares about him anyway!

Billy Davies has been and gone, twice, yet on this site we still talk about what he may have not done.

One thing is certain, Steve McClaren is a good coach and Billy Davies, whether think he is or isn't good, is nothing but trouble.

Derby have finally recovered from the damage he did last time, how long will it take for us to recover from his two ultimately destructive failures.

{Ed034's Note - Derbys downfall had nothing to do with Davies. He got them promoted and there for made them a huge amount of money. He was then sacked not long after. They should have handled that money better.
You clearly have a bee in your bonnet about Davies, that's fine but what's the point in bringing up mcclaren?? There isn't any.
You put you'll drop it and go 'psycho' psycho!' and then carry on haha

He earnt the nickname himself "good" coach or not.

Second of all who really cares! Because it's very old news. Or was the aim of the post just to appear smug (which it seemed to) no offense

5.) 11 May 2014
I have dropped it Ed, it's other posters carrying it on not me mate

6.) 11 May 2014
I backed mclaren I backed mccleish I backed sod I backed billyd but hey ho they've all moved on. Its probably time we do too. Psycho psycho psycho. I back sp and in 3 years time you can come on and claim he wasnt right. But at the end of the day your job is simple. Support the club you love. Back whoever is in. The rest will pan out one way or another.

youuuuuu reddddsss

p. s. I do love pearce though #hero #blushing

Totally agree with Mod, I always back the manager and hope for the best sometimes this is uncomfortable esp with Mcleish who came well tarnished and with Billy whose rantings esp on the big screen were a wee bit embarrassing. can only ever remember shouting Gillies out!

8.) 11 May 2014
It is what it is.

9.) 11 May 2014
What Mod Red said x 100%

{Ed034's Note - register please

10.) 11 May 2014
Failed to mention him nearly getting Wolfsburg relegated and his second stint with fc twenty, funny that. he will always be remember for the 1-2 defeat against the sheep where we went 1 up and derby went a player down in the first minute and he tried to hold on for the 1-0 from the 3rd minute. now if that's good coaching I would hate to see the bad side.

Just like to point out that Mclaren got very lucky when getting the Derby job. It's still 90% Nigel Cloughs team and I thought at the time it was a very harsh decision. For me they would have finished top 6 anyway. All Mclaren has done is tweak it with a couple of loans of which only Andre Wisdom is a regular in the starting line up.

12.) 12 May 2014
You must be alone in thinking that derby were going into the top six LC? everyone I know thought mid table at best for them. I don't really see how SMc got lucky or how you back it up by saying its 90% Nigels side? he has done an amazing job making a mid table side (built by NC) into a team who are looking likely to head into the prem
i'd like to take this opportunity to wish SMc and every direby fan well in what i'm sure will be a successful relegation campaign next season! :)

13.) 12 May 2014
The reason I said Nigel was unlucky is because when they arrived at The City Ground on the day he actually lost his job, Derby had only been beaten twice ( Leicester & Burnley ) and we all know where they ended up. They also had the best away record in the championship at the time. After we beat them narrowly on the day the general feeling around where I sit was that Derby were the best team we had played so far that season. So yes, in my opinion, I did think Nigel was unlucky to lose his job

LC- I would have been gutted if our manager was doing a job like Nigel and got sacked but there is no doubt that SMc has taken Nigels side to a completely different level.
