Hobbs out for around 14 day with hamstring injury. From N Jackson.

Djc

1.) But is he staying with us or not, anybody any idea.

{Ed034's Note - yes

2.) Big loss for Saturday up against Gestede and Rhodes but hopefully Collins continues his form pre injury and Lascelles well the mans a superstar in the making!

3.) Could of been worse he could of been at for the rest of the season and the break could do him sum good

4.) With a bit of luck Rhodes will have been sold by then, lol

5.) Ed. Is that ys you have ome idea, or yes he is definitely staying? lol

{Ed034's Note - going on what has been said by both fawaz and Jackson, then yes he is staying

6.) Sooner play Halford match fit, and knows a few more strikers tricks since been playing as one, lol, Hendo up front or the multi million man, whoever he turns out to be

7.) Dont hold your breath on the multi-million man!

8.) Thanks, Ed. I was hopng you would say something along those lines. Great news (we hope)!

{Ed034's Note - fingers crossed

9.) Have we got to pay to keep him?

10.) I had a dream that we signed Rhodes and he scored a 93rd minute goal against Brighton last game of season and we won game 2-1 to finish champions of the league! Fester finished 2nd, 1 point behind us. Then again I had another dream that I was in a fight with superman and won and we all know that's never going to happen, but we can dream.

MysticRed

11.) A piece in Nottm Post and also the Independent suggests Lascelles picked up a knock at Bolton and that he could also be out for a couple of weeks. Anyone know if this is correct?

12.) Multi million man? Isn't lee majors a bit old?

13.) Fawaz just tweeted he has done a agreement with hull chairman for hobbs

14.) Fawaz tweet Hobbs done deal

15.) I wonder if Hobbs will all of a sudden be fit now!

16.) Does anyone know when Wilson is due back from his back injury. He can't be far off now if he hasn't returned to training already.

Hobbo

Celtic accept bid from qpr for hooper. SSN

Djc

1.) Dirty Harry!

2.) I hope he goes soon so we can put this one to bed!

3.) Its a pity. I watched him on youtube. his finishing is quality. watch qpr now.

4.) We were never going to get Hooper but this might now pave the way for Austin and possibly Mackie who I think would be surplus to requirements at QPR if they land Hooper. Don't think this is a bad thing really.

COYR. Steve - Wisbech Red!

5.) Celtic accepted a QPR bid a while ago but he can't agree personal terms!

6.) Hopefully this will free up a move for Mackie to come to us!

7.) Chukles inanely :-)))))

8.) 24 Jul 2013 17:32:04
If you want somebody as good as Hooper then you must be prepared to up the ante. forest obviously didn't and quality passes us by once again! {Ed034's Note - woe have a slightly bigger budget than us. Think about what knock on it would have on the rest of our budget, if we paid £4m+ for one player

9.) £5 million for Gary Hooper awful lot of money for a player who's only played for Scunthorpe and the Scots Premier league.

10.) If there is a worry over whether Austin injury/s shoulder/ knee, don't hold up make an offer based on number of games the shoulder/knee holds up, kind of stage payments, which happens anyway in football, not taking into account any other injuries he may incur.

11.) Gary hooper is the best English striker fact, so 5million is a bargin, Charlie Austin up there with welbeck and Sturridge IMO these lads need a chance Austin DOSENT get gr8 service at Burnley and how many did he score last season, if we get one of these I'd be a very happy man there is no one else maybe sharpe but that's it and sharpe won't cut it in prem the other two would, hooper is a better striker than Rooney. This strikers need a chance at international level the FA r a joke stop going with the name and pick the players that would sweet and bleed for there country rant over, does ne1 agree with me

Aaron-24 {Ed034's Note - how is it a fact when he hasn't once been called up to the English squad. Silly comment to out fact to don't you think??

12.) £5 million seems cheap to me, that guy would score goals in any team, just like Collymore did.

13.) ED the English manager isn't willing to take risks ricke lambert highest English goal scorer last season where was his call up? Fear of back lash off the press and fans, I'm a massive fan of hooper look at champs league juventus had to cheat to try and contain him world class team had to cheat to put a leash on him. I love this football club as do everybody else, with hooper in our squad not only would we be a massive force but also attract higher quality of players and you know in right ed x {Ed034's Note - you are not right as you wrote 'fact' and in fact you should have written 'in my opinion'. Hopper wouldn't help attract players to the club at all, he's not messi lol
You obviously think he's a good player but he isn't anywhere her as good as you think

Forest are poised to make a fresh bid for Olympiakos winger Djamel Abdoun.
While they have also had a fourth offer for Grant Leadbitter rejected by Middlesbrough.

Djc

1.) BD flying out to Kuwait to speak with Fawaz about transfer targets including Morgan, Leadbitter and Abdoun {Ed034's Note - he was in Kuwait yesterday

2.) I also think BD and Co are in Kuwait for other reasons as well. Sponsorship being one of the reasons.

3.) Perhaps checking out Bader Al Mutawa too hopefully!

4.) Are these really rumours, just stuff in today's local paper. {Ed034's Note - if that is not a rumour, what is your definition of one??

5.) Why can't they just save the money to put a tidy bid in for someone and phone him instead! :)

6.) This is reported in the nottm post

7.) I know it's in today's post I was just sharing the rumours/gossip with my fellow reds as maybe not everybody will have seen the post!
I could always make up stuff.

Keep up the good work pal.

{Ed034's Note - that is usually the case. luckily she is having a couple of weeks of not being ill, but I am sure she'll pick something up from nursery soon enough

2.) Lol been there. England's chances?

Doh I have just read the article in the NEP, I thought it may have been the original statement By SP rehashed!
I guess we will all know for sure within a little over 2 weeks.

I'm sure SP said in his radio Nottingham interview/phone in that he had been offered a new contract but had yet to sign? Or is this an improved offer that he has been offered?

It will always be the City Ground regardless of any renaming. Fantastic times ahead, young lads in, tried and tested in and more to come. One of the things that exites me that we have not had is the stability and people in the background working wonders.

Hopefully all is well and talks and terms have been completed and the medical is all that's left.
His tweets (obviously no official word) read that the guy has set his heart/mind on us and soon we will have a new striker.

Djc

McClaren even admitted he rushed things and got things wrong with us.
Also without sounding rude mate who cares about him anyway!
