Stuart Pearce will offer Matt Derybshire a 1 year contract extension, but Simon Gillet, Ishmael Miller, Gonzalo Jara, Marcus Tudgay and Guy Moussi will all leave the club.

Loan signing Rafik Djebbour will not have his future at the club considered and Pearce is also looking to sell Djamal Abdoun.

To be brutally honest those mentioned can all leave, and I wouldn't mind some more adding to that. Think Derbyshire is a good call for an extension, just a shame we did t get to see more of him under you know who. Can't help feeling a little bit sorry to hear about Abdoun and Rafik; I think they needed more time with us.

2.) 05 May 2014
Keep Lichaj, Cohen, Lansbury, Reid, Mackie, Lascelles, Paterson, Wilson, Vaughn, Hobbs, Osborn, Peltier, the rest show the door!

{Ed034's Note - no darlow or any other keeper??

3.) 05 May 2014
Does anyone know what's gone off behind the scenes with the Algerian pair? I thought Abdoun had put some good performances in this season when he played.

Can we add Majewski to that list, been poor and clearly not got the fight in him.

5.) 05 May 2014
No ED new keeper more experienced!

{Ed034's Note - crazy. Darlows first season and he has top clubs watching him every game and one put a big bid in for him in January. This is because he is a very good keeper and one who will get better and better, with experience.

6.) 05 May 2014
Why show the rest the door? you can't just have an 18 top championship players because there will be so many people unhappy and we couldn't afford to bring in that much. We've needed our squad players due to our entire defence and midfield being out and not the best quality strikers unlike Leicester and Burnley who have had next to none. No Darlow is crazy, I could barely find a goal that I would say was his fault especially before the back four got injured then he fount it harder because the other team got so many good chances.

7.) 05 May 2014
Cannot comment on Djebbour, since he has not played so much, but with Abdoun, I agree with one of the earlier posts in that he is a good tricky player and you would think he would have played more and should stay based on talent, so for me, there has to be some serious issues in the way they act on a day to day basis at Forest behind the scenes and we do not see this. We would surely not get rid if they were pulling their weight in training and bonding well with the rest of the squad. My guess is this is/was not happening.

8.) 05 May 2014
@ marko 99, we do have a more experienced keeper in De Vries, but is he more talented? IMO, if we got rid of Darlow, we would not be able to find and sign a better and more talented keeper, so he MUST stay

9.) 05 May 2014
Darlow will want away, I just do not think he is good enough! If we get these players on high wages, Miller for one off the wage bill, with the rest of the deadwood, of course we can bring the right players in, Pearce will know what we need, De Vries maybe as back up, but still say we need a more experienced keeper!

{Ed034's Note - Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool scouts think he is

10.) 05 May 2014
Yes Ed maybe they do, but what happens to all the young players they sign?

{Ed034's Note - so what you saying, they sign players like darlow because they're bored??

11.) 05 May 2014
Would definitely 100% keep Abdoun. If he goes I can't see how it's anything he's done ON the pitch. Shame if he leaves.

12.) 05 May 2014
Can get rid of Harding definitely. Not up to Forest standard. The thing is we need proven Premiership standard, not proven Championship standard. I agree with post from other day that we need a smaller squad of 24-25 but we need to increase the quality.

{Ed034's Note - proven premier league standard costs a lot of money in terms of transfer money and wages.
Wood you say Leicester or burnley had premier league players when the season kicked off??
You need a balance between proven and up and coming.
When we signed Lansbury, Hobbs and pato we could not say they were premier league standard.

13.) 05 May 2014
I would keep all marko99 said, with the addition of the 3 keepers (darlow, de vries and evtimov), fox, halford, mclaughlin and derbyshire. would then try and promote some of the under 21's through, i. e. blake, rees and demetriou if they're good enough. then sign 3/4 quality players. quality over quantity is the absolute key

14.) 05 May 2014
Cant beleave people want rid of darlow. Madness!

15.) 05 May 2014
Yes JW but we were lacking quantity when we got injuries need depth of squad as well!

16.) 05 May 2014
It really worries me that some fans perception of a good player is someone like Abdoun. He wouldn't shine many lights in div 2 never mind a team with aspirations to play in the PL.

17.) 05 May 2014
Jara is out of contract and will go. Miller is out of contract, small mercies and all that. Harding has a year left, on the money he is on will stay as l can't see anyone offering him as much. If so then don't sign Fox. Gillet to be sold or loaned as not good enough to start and at least 3 good young players can play centre mid. Tudgay is out of contract and will leave, Mouse gone. Personally l would give Derbyshire 1 year but something in his gestures last game of the season says he is off. I would sell Henderson and cash in on Cox before his contract runs out as l can't see him being happy sitting on the bench. I would love to see Abdoun stay as l have a soft spot for him but it appears he causes rifts in the dressing room.

18.) 05 May 2014
JW398 we also need quantity and more quality if we want to get promoted next season! Look at what the injuries cost us at the end of the current campaign!

19.) 05 May 2014
We can only get rid of players who are out of contract. Any 'deadwood' that is in contract, we cannot show the door to, unless they decide to leave. This will restrict for financial reasons, the amount of new blood that we can sign.

20.) 05 May 2014
No ED they sign them to warm benches, then they loan them out, then sell them on again! I'm a right or right?

{Ed034's Note - they sign them because they think they are good players who can develop into even better, so you are wrong.

21.) 05 May 2014
Chugsy, div 2 player? Daft comment!

22.) 05 May 2014
Heard Sheffield United looking at Gillet.

23.) 05 May 2014
My opinion is that we had a big squad but the players being used to fill the roles were simply not good enough. The upside is that a few youngsters were tested (I agree only a few games) but definitely gave us a lift! Remember if it wasn't for the injuries we would probably not have seen laselles, Osborn or McLaughlin.

24.) 05 May 2014
I'd like to have seen more of Djebbour. I think there was a lot of potential there but, for whatever reason, he never got enough time to get adjusted to the English Champ. What I did see was good runs and movement off the ball-that it appeared no one was looking for.

25.) 05 May 2014
Abdoun a div 2 player? LOL yea ok.

26.) 05 May 2014
Wilson having work done to his house. Anybody that knows where he lives can see this from the scaffolding surrounding his house. He told us he asked Rafik outright if he was staying or loaned because he wasnt sure himself. Rafik told him he's been bought and will be staying

27.) 05 May 2014
05 May 2014 20:10:50
Whilst I don't totally agree with Chugsy I can see his point. Abdoun is tricky and skillful and can look good going forward. He does however need educating when and where to attempt the fancy stuff. In this area he is at best naieve and at worst a liability.

28.) 05 May 2014
Its been a terrible season for injuries and its unlikely (touchwood) to be that bad again. of course that means a bit of luck will be needed but leicester and burnley have named consistent sides throughout the whole season and both gone up

29.) 06 May 2014
We need PL standard players, well a PL standard player will be playing in the PL surely? unrealistic and daft comments.

30.) 07 May 2014
I for one hope we keep hold of rafik and abdoun. I honestly believe with a bit of time they could work well and get us those all important goals
