I do not see the point in selling him as we can't spend the money or replace him

north london red

1.) 12 May 2015 13:36:34
Of course we can replace him but would have to be a free signing and under 10 grand a week. The ffp might just mean we sign a couple of players with points to prove rather than big time Charlie's who don't think they need to try.

2.) 12 May 2015 14:19:34
As much as I would like to keep Antonio I think he will be sold,5 to 6 million is a good profit, maybe more if a few clubs go head to head for him.As I said hope he stays but Fawaz sold the two lads to Newcastle last year for 6.5 so he maybe tempted if he gets a crazy offer.

3.) 12 May 2015 14:31:20
Daz, would you take 6 or 7 million and a player on loan maybe for the season? I know Antonio had an excellent season but I would take a punt that if we can get a player in that he will be gone.

4.) 12 May 2015 15:11:55
I would take that deal nick26,risky,but money talks at the end of the day and it will be hard to replace his goals and assists.Of course there is the chance that he might not want to leave, think he has said that recently, time will tell.

5.) 12 May 2015 16:55:17
If we sold Antonio for 5 mill what EXACTLY could we spend the money on,is it free signings on 10,000 a week,or does it come off our fine,

6.) 12 May 2015 17:16:31
Said a few weeks ago that Antonio will be gone this Summer, as I heard from a low-level agent - I think £7-8m would be a fair price.

Personally, I think he would struggle in the Premiership. You can get away with a few dodgy touches at Championship level, where pace and power alone will see you succeed. can't see him getting away with that in the Premiership and I think he runs the risk of looking a bit of a donkey at the top level.

Not saying he's a bad player, he's been destructive in the Champ.

7.) 12 May 2015 21:31:22
Every agent is a low level one wonky- all come from the gutter!! One of the main reasons why so much money is lost. You can't blame them for making so much money but the people running the prem, fifa and uefa should hang their heads in shame for allowing it to continue.

8.) 12 May 2015 22:09:42
No way I want the club to sell him and no we can't buy another player, but what the money does do is balance the books a great deal so when it comes to our accounts being reviewed as to compliance with FFP for next year we will be there and there abouts with such money coming in. Long terms if we are to lives within the rules and be able to buy players again books have to be balanced

How would fellow forest fans feel about this as our four fowards for next year sharp, wilson, fryatt and hosiner if we got these four in at I would say quite a small cost then I think we would be in for a very good season. I know people will say sharp not that great last year but he's a goalscorer and that's what we need I rate him always have and 1 bad season is not going to change my mind.

north london red

1.) I really think we need to consign Billy Sharp to the pages of history now he is not what he used to be struggled at reading and didn't do a great deal for Doncaster.

{Ed034's Note - here, here

2.) Ed you put him in the archives over a year ago :)

{Ed034's Note - I got sick of hearing about him. I just hope he gets a club soon

I've just seen joe cole has left west ham. He states that he is not intrested in a big wage just wants a new challenge and to play football. he's now 32 and I know well past his best but still a very good player if he wants a challenge why not come a join us. Also got a big personality so would be great round the dressing room to help the young lads along. I personaly would love to see this happen anyone else?

north london red

1.) I agree North London red, I think he would be a very good addition and for me a realistic target, my only concern is that he picks up lots of little injuries.

2.) Totally agree would be a great addition

3.) Disagree. Don't see where he would fit in and comes with a big ego. I'm more than happy with Lansbury.

4.) Hes at the wrong end of a wasted career. If your going to sign a Role model for the younger players, then sign one whos made the most of his ability. Pearce will go the "young & hungry" route.

5.) Reid has much more ability. Wouldn't they compete for the same role?

6.) "Reid has much more ability".

Are you joking mate. How can you even compare them. Cole is far superior to Reidy. He'll have better legs in him, bring the experience Reid has and will track back more. Cole > Reid.

I will second that lansbury is the best player on the pitch i don't think people on here understand what a massive loss he will be if he goes

Good shout with big sam but he would go nowhere near us.With df i can't see things getting any better and if we sell lansbury who i in a minority on here rate and then antonio we could be as bad as blackpool i fear for us that much.

north london red

{Ed003's Note - that will take some catching up but with idiots running football clubs you might be onto something.}

He also chipped in with 9 goals and 5 assists burnley are a much stronger unit than us he's that good in my opinion that he will make them even stronger lansbury will be a massive loss if he goes antonio next?
