Not really a rumour as such, just hearsay from a work associate in Spain who I talk to a lot - and a guy who happens to be a big football fan and likes to keep his finger on the pulse of things all football in his native Spain

He tells me that the Oscar Garcia to Forest story has featured in various reports over in Spain and looks very likely to happen and he was surprised that the appointment hadn't been already announced.

So make of it what you will, just a football chat with a guy that offers a Spanish perspective on things.

I for 1 would be happy to see him at the City Ground, but who knows? . seems the manager saga still rolls on!

Oscar Garcia appears to be currently employed as a Manager for Red Bull Saltzburg, surely if he is coming as our new Manager we will have to pay compensation? Cannot see the club wanting to pay out compensation.

I think we will have to pay compensation, however it won't be millions, he has had a good season with Red Bull Saltzburg, but he won't be on a mega bucks salary . so I would imagine any compensation will certainly be affordable if we get the rumoured investment that is supposedly imminent.

I think youll find out his contract is paid up to the end of may abroad so perhaps no anouncement till tomorrow.

4.) 31 May 2016 12:29:03
States on the web Garcia has been offered a 3 year deal so we shall see I guess in a few days.

5.) 31 May 2016 12:31:07
Garcia does look like a good fit imo.

6.) 31 May 2016 13:41:38
Garcia certainly has a good CV as a player and a manager. Makes Steve Evan's CV look mickey mouse.

Steve Evans does not have a CV but you can check out his Charge Sheet!

Re FFP and how to get over and large transfer fee, Surely Marinakis can just buy a player through Olypiakos's books and then immediately loan him to Forest.

The is a rule to stop and club who is owned by the same person doing such things.

Assombalonga has to be dropped for the next game! , he offers very little at the moment and is very lazy.
Vellios needs a run in the team again . he will offer much more in
The relegation run in.

Fawaz is fast becoming something of a puzzle, why would someone choose to hang on to their role as a Chairman / Owner of a Football club , when it is clear they are ill equipped to do so and are in danger of causing substantial collateral damage to their investment.

He is choosing not to listen to any outside influences , that say he is clearly not doing what is expected and required to run a successful football club , and continues to display a total arrogance and ineptitude towards any sort of direction and structure we are so crucially needing.

It almost seems like some sort of bizarre sabotage. why would you allow the very thing you have paid good money for to crumble beneath your feet.
It just doesn't make any sense , he must know what's needed to put things right , he must know we are in a mess , he must know we are very likely to be relegated , he must know now that we will not attract any quality mangers or players.

he must know how much people want him gone , he must know how much people wanted the takeover , and most importantly - he must know that he does not know how to run a football club.

Yet still he continues with the constant smoke and mirrors and pointless empty words . and seems strangely happy and intent on taking us into league one and into football oblivion.

The way I see it, If you bought a dog , and it soon became very clear that you were ill equipped , unsuitable and unable to give the dog what it really needed , you would make sure you did the right thing to find that dog a home where it could be happy , healthy and a brighter future.

you certainly wouldn't let the dog suffer.
Unfortunately for us, it seems Forest are the dog, but Fawaz is no dog lover.

Announcement coming?

With the herald of what looks to be an appointment of a CEO and Director of Football, there is clearly some positive movement happening.

This has been a slow process and a painful one at that, especially as we Forest fans are impatient animals by nature (me included) .

But if the time taken so far is down to the new owners making sure that things are done right, then that has to be a good thing right?

I think now's the time we should be excited that things are moving slowly but in the right direction, and I am convinced that a new manager has already been arranged, but cannot be announced yet.

LETS JUST ENJOY THE RIDE!
GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!

He made the right choice. I would not choose to work with Fawaz. we will have the same issue with every quality manager linked . Brazil it is then.

I am actually not unhappy with our transfer dealings, I believe PM is putting together a good young competitive squad, and tying Brit down was a great bit of business, plus we didn't lose any key players.

I think we are in a good place right now . yes we were disappointed that we didn't get that big name striker in, but I am feeling pretty positive surprisingly.

The squad is looking strong and capable . and very promising for the season ahead!

COYR!
