Just a complete opinion with all the defenders we are linked to, it may save a few bob to move Murillo into holding MF player. I think it wouldn't be hard to train him up.

Hes not mobile & agile enough skegs, to club footed

25 Jul 2026 17:07:38
Probably the quickest player at the club ... since Elanga left anyway. He can pick a pass, tackle, good header of the ball, and reader of the game. Gets us moving and could be a box to box midfielder or holding. But in OG system he's best in a back 3 imo.
4.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 17:23:48
With Murillo's skillset, he could probably play in any position on the pitch except goalkeeper. ?
5.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 17:25:23
"Club footed"... Better than being knuckle headed though. ??????
6.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 17:28:21
Yes, makes you wonder, Larry, why none of the bigger clubs have even been tempted to put a bid in for him. He's got to be worth double what we paid for him.
7.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 17:28:46
Think what Larry really meant was "Club" committed, mate...
Anyway, I'm out in sunny and a very humid Menorrrrcaaaaa!!!!.

10.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 19:51:41
I think the main reason that no one has come in for Murillo is his injury record last season. He was rarely fit. Nobody is going to pay big for someone who is injury prone.
He needs to get back to the standards of his first two seasons.

Talent is talent67.
Our gain.
12.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 20:52:21
Don't care how injury prone he is, if he keeps playing the way he does, then that's fine by me. 100pr cent Forest.
13.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 21:54:22
Murillo made 39 appearances last season. Hardly injury prone is he?
14.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 21:58:14
Dyche caused his injuries due to playing him at left back.
15.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 22:08:56
I'm actually quite tanned this time of year, Stokie!!!
It's my Italian roots, mate.
My mates call me Lorenzo Roganini!!!!. ???
16.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 22:16:02
Is that Italian for short arse, Rogie? ?
Only kidding, mate.
17.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 22:24:56
Murillo missed 14 Premier games last season.
Which is more than a third.
Morato usually filled in for him. Although he improved as the season went on, he is no Murillo.
I am sure this cost us points over the season.
He was one of the players who turned on Dyche due to training methods, etc.
Fingers crossed he can stay fit this year. Quality player.
18.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 22:30:53
My point exactly, 67.
Dyche played him left back in the Europa League. He got injured and asked to come off, but Dyche ignored him.
19.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 22:50:16
Dyche got everything wrong. No way in this world should he have been a Forest manager. Good job Maranakis came to his senses and sacked him, else we would be playing in the Championship this season.
20.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 22:54:29
Skeggs, bang on.
21.) 25 Jul 2026
25 Jul 2026 23:17:21
Murillo can:
A: Borrow my Mrs if he wants.
B: Double as a fridge.
C: Can never be beaten.
D: Walk on water.
He's a centre back, end of. ?
22.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 08:46:54
DTP, you cannot be serious.
Skeggs, Championship? Not what the stats say. ????
23.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 10:53:26
Stokey, wrong type of coach for the Premier. He'll never get another job in the Premier unless Hull turns in desperation.
Outdated tactics, poor man management, and poor training methods. Same squad performed under Vitor, playing the right tactics.
24.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 10:20:07
You just need to let the Dyche thing go Stokie, you put your neck on the line praising him and it didn't work out. he's hopeless and living rent free in your head.
25.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 11:42:13
I'll tell you what, lads, I'm going to contact the Premier League and ask that they dock the 22 points in 18 games that SD got for us and that we start next season in the Championship. Hopefully they'll do this to keep you happy.
Larry, you are confusing the term "living rent free in someone's head" with "having an opinion", mate.
DTP, do you honestly believe that a top class footballer can sustain a serious injury just by being played out of his natural position? A left-sided CB going to left-back?
Or that SD would ignore the advice of his world class medical and physio team and play an injured player?
You're living in cloud cuckoo land, mate.
Ludicrous even by your standards.
26.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 13:34:36
Rogie, as you know I'm part Irish on my Mum's side (she's 91 now with grey hair but did have red hair, green eyes, pale skin, the full Celt, bless her). Many Irish have Spanish (rather than Italian in your case) ancestors, some say from the few survivors of the Spanish Armada (those who weren't massacred out of hand by the locals) or, more likely, fishermen up from the Bay of Biscay over the centuries.
Most famously your former President Eamon de Valera, amongst others. I have the same skin pigmentation gene but from my Dad, Grandad and (apparently) great-Grandad, so that I get tanned just by stepping outside for a minute. My Dad's side were full English back to the 1800s (miners, carters and waggoners from the West Mids). What mongrels we all are, eh?
27.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 14:28:01
"Neck on the line", Larry. Speaking as someone who has literally put his neck on the line many times, you do make me laugh, mate. ?????
28.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 15:53:35
There was no need to play him at all, Stokey.
Especially out of position, and then ignoring that he told the bench he was injured.
As for 22 points from 18 games?
That's a poor return and why he got the sack; a continuation of that stat would have got us relegated.
He's a dinosaur when it comes to modern day football.
29.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 16:03:50
Dtp we all know he was no good at is job that's why he was fired. but he was stokies only chance of being right about anything. Just let him think he's right it might make him a bit happier. ?
30.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 17:18:35
So, DTP, 22 points from 18 games gives us 44 points from 36 games. Simple maths tells you that would not have amounted to relegation. You should check out the final table before you rush into print, mate.
It's that attention to detail that lets you down, my friend.
As for you Skeggs. ??????
31.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 17:26:08
I don't believe for a minute that Dyche kept him or anyone else on the pitch when he said he was injured.
In mitigation, those of us who have watched Murillo, week in and week out, will know that he has an odd quirk of complaining about injury, then hobbling about for a bit, then miraculously reappearing and giving a man of the match performance.
He is a physio's nightmare. Like the story of Peter and the Wolf.
But the physio takes the final decision, not Dyche or any other manager.
I'd be more concerned about VP bringing Murillo on going into injury time 4 nil down at Villa in the Europa tbh. He was clearly unable to run. Now that was a strange decision.
32.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 17:50:05
To put it even more simply, DTP, when SD left, we were 4 points from the last relegation spot.
When the season ended, the margin was 5 points.
Hardly a massive upturn, was it?
33.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 18:03:41
And you call that success, Stokey?
We were a sinking ship at the time of his dismissal. Couldn't score, couldn't keep a clean sheet, we were going down, and everyone knows it, barring you.
No point saying another 18 games, as he didn't have that many games to play till the season's end.
34.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 18:11:54
Goal difference was a factor... Improved right at the end under VP, when we were scoring for fun.
35.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 19:38:46
I would definitely call it a success after the disaster that was Big Ange, DTP. As the stats will always show, despite your desperate attempts to swerve them. I don't know who this "everyone" is that "knows" it. Whoever he is, he is not good at maths, but great on groundless speculation. ???
36.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 20:03:15
Stokey, you are the only Nottingham Forest fan with a good word for Dyche.
So just accept he would have taken us down.
Even the players didn't like him.
You can quote what you like about him, he's gone. Good riddance.
37.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 21:08:38
Just to further pee on your chips, DTP. Murillo's season ended at just before half time against Burnley on 19th April, the 4-1 win. That was more than 2 months after Dyche was sacked. Never played again unless you count that strange decision to bring him on against Villa in the Europa at 4 nil down going into injury time, which I've referred to already.
By the way, last post, you’re speculating again about the opinions of every Forest fan. Did you do a survey?
Guesswork rather than stats every time, eh?
Likewise, Murillo's name was never mentioned by anybody as a player complaining about SD. Nor was any other player. Guessing and speculation again?
38.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 21:15:59
Stokey, Murillo never recovered properly from that injury.
I love how you have to Google all your facts???. ???
39.) 26 Jul 2026
26 Jul 2026 21:21:33
No speculation the players hated his training or lack of it, Stokey.
