If we survive can we keep Awomyi ans our main striker?
Do we need someone who can play at least 30 or more games in a season.
If we could get a reasonable fe is it time to replace him?
CARLO.

I've been a bit surprised to read some of the 'cool' responses to yesterday's game. As I posted yesterday we were, after all, playing one of the best teams on this planet. None of us could have dreamt about Forest playing in such a fixture even 3 years ago - let alone performing well and looking a threat for much of the game. OK, we didn't achieve the ultimate aim of putting the ball in the back of their net. But, so what? We played with more passion, intensity and downright skill that we've ever seen before under Nuno's tenure. Personally, I'm taking this as a massive positive going forward - whether we are in Premier League or the Championship next season.

Legless we lost, you get nothing for playing well in defeat
Nuno changed to three at the back for the first time, we should stick to that formation for the last three games imo, but I bet he goes back to a flat back four
End of the day We beat arsenal, Liverpool and drew with city at home last season, all have beaten us under nuno this season
The first goal, we have nico injured and hobbling off, why on earth didn't nuno have a sub ready?

We are crap at corners with eleven men never mind ten, that was the killer moment and something that should never happen
Like I've said many times the football might look better on the eye but we lise to many games because defence can't defend as a unit and nuno has to take responsibility for that.

So, here's a question. As thus season is almost done, would you keep Nuno if we stayed up or dropped down?
Personally I would like him gone. Doesn't inspire anything in me at all I'm afraid.

Thoughts?

To be honest if it had been early in the season with the results he's got he would of probably been sacked so I'm guessing either way stop up go down he will be gone.

I wouldnโ€™t have hired Nuno in the first place. Gormless melt of a manager.
Mark Robbins deserves a chance - done brilliantly with no money at Coventry.

Regardless of where we are next season Nuno should be replaced, the club and the supporters need a manager coach who can and should stand up to the owner and bring in the players he wants not what the owner wants. he has to connect with the supporters and bring back the vibrant atmosphere that's been sadly missed. We can't have a division between us and the owner it isn't any good for the club.

If we donโ€™t win against Sheff Utd then we deserve relegation. The appointment of Nuno Dispiriting Santo has been a disaster. Still no solution to the defensive set piece situation, though in his defence, and I canโ€™t believe Iโ€™m writing this, he has had some bad refereeing decisions during his tenure. The draw against injury ravaged Wolves at home was the.

Brereton for a hat trick on Saturday how ironic that would be ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜…They are definitely one of the poorest teams I've seen in the prem so no less than 3 points please boys.

Can't defend + can't score is a recipe for disaster.
Nuno must have them in everyday and work on shooting drills nothing else. We are going to have to score more than the opposition ala Kevin Keegan style!
Get them hitting the onion sack time after time after time, all different types of goals. Tap in's, slide ins, shots from outside the box, damn, that'll be a first and headers. Goals goals goals in training might result in a couple in the real world. Bring on the blunt Blades!

29 Apr 2024 14:19:07
Roystone I remember when Steve Cooper arrived his first ever training and get to know the players session consisted of them shooting non stop and having a laugh and relaxing. It obviously worked because they never looked back after that for the rest of the season! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.

Clutching at straws again he dropped freuler which took long enough everyone could see he was shite but he was a favourite then he stopped parking the bus and let them play football then the next season he went straight back to parking the bus and after all them losses and the tedious football nearly as bad as your long comments on history. that's what he became history ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ.

We were also 5 points clear of relegation when Cooper left. We are still (if you add the deducted points back on) exactly 5 points clear. That means under Nuno we have scored a point less than Luton, who we were 6 points above when Coops left. This is what relegation form looks like.

Derby fans might think that's a good thing, but that isn't surprising, is it?

I'm reliably informed that under nuno the players only train for one hour a day.

So we played well yesterday much more positive in our play and game plan. The difference is Haaland one chance one goal, that's we he plays for an elite club and Woods is playing for a relegation fighting team. Not knocking Woods but that's the truth. City get the chances we had it 4 or 5 0 win to them easy.
It was the old adage I'm afraid where a team struggling play well have chances don't score, and you just know the better team will eventually punish them. Same adage afyer that, the poorer team have chances to equalise, don't take them then the better team kill the game off. We've all seen it a thousand times.
Pep blamed the dry pitch for Forest missing those chances which helped City. A few rumours flying about we did that to disrupt the City play, but still we got to take a couple of them chances. Mind you if we play like that last 3 games, with the sheclkes off we may just about be OK. Let's keep our fingers, toes and everything crossed we get a couple points back aswell.

Alright Alright skeggy Jay fair enough. They certainly surprised me with how they approached and played the game. But we are talking about the same team who thumped Brighton days before, you can't blame me for thinking that especially as with the a few games to go we just about keeping our head above water. Mind you we don't generally get thumped by the top teams at home.

Well I stayed up until the end of the first half (2.15am) , thought we were brilliant. Neco can't cross or finish, MGW has an average set piece (would like to see neco take some) and I thought Danilo despite his immense work ethic was sloppy and careless with his passing. Could have scored 2-3 over the whole game. Really proud of he boys effort and NES got the tactics spot on. Almost out thought pep. Players just aren't at the quality (yet) to convert hose chances on a regular basis.

29 Apr 2024 12:42:58
Yeah, I thought we could have had at least a couple.

I think maybe Wood is feeking the pressure of being the main striker right now, wish we coud have had Awoniyi back for the run in, big loss.

Fair play, despite the result, thought we played well and looked really dangerous at times but no end product. They will be league champions for sure but gave them a very good game.

29 Apr 2024 12:12:40
The only other points I'd make are that.
Firstly, we've found a decent goalkeeper at last
Secondly, at last, we played 3 centre backs and looked more solid especially with a beast like Boly back
Thirdly it's nice to be talking football rather than reffing incompetence and bloody VAR. I thought the ref did ok. You can always tell he's had a reasonable game when you don't really notice him ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.

wingers over yesterday, Elanga so much more of a threat on the left and has the pace to trouble Walker.
Both played well but both could, ve been more effective swapping about.

Ok my reflections on yesterday.
The City Ground was back to its rocking best because the lads put a good shift in. I said before the game that a defeat by 2 goals would be an excellent result because it leaves our goal difference advantage over Burnley and Luton just about intact. City can damage you 5 or 6 nil. That goal difference is like an extra point atm.
It could have been better had Chris Wood not had an off day, but that's what you get when you are obliged to play a ยฃ15 million striker in the twilight of his career rather than, say, Haarland at the peak of his career at ยฃ60million, supported by Grealish at ยฃ100 million, De Bruyne at ยฃ55 million Doku at ยฃ60 million. I could go on but you get my point. Of course if we hadn't spaffed millions up the wall with Arter, Lingard, Bowler, Kouyate, Turner, Vlach etc etc etc we might be in a market higher than the ยฃ15 to ยฃ30 million bracket but that's another argument ( plus we might be 4 points better off).
It was great to see Elanga and Aina burn Walker off for pace a few times. I think Englands fastest full backs knees have gone with his serial sha""ging! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

If you meant โ€œcopperโ€ mate, I can tell you that before amalgamation in the early 1970s Nottinghamshire had 2 entirely separate Police Forces, the County and the City. The County Officers were renowned shagโ€ers and the City renowned drinkers.
I guess it was just a question of local opportunities, plenty of pubs in the city and plenty of lonely ladies in the countryside! ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡.
