Ok what about bringing Patrick Bamford home to Nottingham? Surely we already have the backbone of senior players . Now we need 20 to 25 yr olds from the lower divisions who have the potential to be developed under WB. Perhaps the chesterfield boy is a good example as is Hilberto. I think WB knows what he wants and there will be some surprises awaiting us. Finally well done Huddersfield - can anyone name a player of theirs? Was it loanees that gave them success or a first rate manager.

Basically doc m the terriers are owned by local boy Dean Hoyle who made 350 million selling on the Card Shop who took a punt on Wagner who ran Borussia Dortmunds reserves for 6 or 7 years under Klopp. His team are mainly good Bundesliga players who will no doubt be bolstered by Klopps Liverpool youth and fringe players next season. Wagner's a bit of tw#t as a man (as evidenced by his clash with Monk at Leeds and the fact that he only grudgingly admitted being tactically out thought by Warbo when we thrashed them at the City Ground) . However he is astute enough to play Klopps pressing game using extremely fit players from a league above Championship level supplemented by the brilliant Manchester City playmaker Mooy. Plus being German his team are great at penalties! Plus he's ruthless in resting his key players no matter after what the ramifications are.

Agreed Stokey.
As for Bamford. I think his career is going backwards and I am not convinced he is hungry enough to get us to where we need to be?

Never rated bamford, I think he's a championship player at best.

Another striker we don't need, our frailties lie elsewhere, midfield and defence.
Our strikers are some of the best in that league, why an obsession with more? .

As regards another striker - when everyone is fit and/ or available we may be all right with what we've got. But what about when Britt has an injury (small hopefully) or is at the African Nations Cup (where he's said he is keen to go) what then? One more striker with some experience would be priceless to ensure that we can still perform under these circumstances. That and a really good experienced goalkeeper who could hold the fort while Smith or other academy player learn their trade and gain experience. Then the defenders we obviously require that everyone keeps on about, could be added. A total of five players in all.

I don't think anyone on this thread is "obsessed" with strikers? We are just having friendly banter!

Give us some names to overcome our frailties FF79?

Re Huddersfield - are they another Watford then i. e. import multiple players into your side. Would we accept promotion if the Reds did precisely that i. e. a Greek set of imports. So do we say the premier league whatever? ED any thoughts after Brexit re European take overs and transfers will it make a difference?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about.}
